    I own a pk 4K and absolutely loved it, however there is something very distinctive about the look of the 2.5K which is hard to describe. I guess the Cinema DNG makes a big difference. Nice footage!

      The BMCC 2.5k is better than the 4k production in several ways but especially in that the 4k loses a stop in dinamic range and the problem with the sunholes, I have these blackmagic cameras and I have done tests with all, the best cinematographic version is the 2.5k and the more versatile the pocket 4k but very diferents

      The 0.64x is actually wider field of view than the 0.71x! It's a backwards calculation, the further you get UNDER 1.0x the larger the field of view. E.g:
      24mm x 0.71 = 17.04
      24mm x 0.64 = 15.36

The messed up thing is: after watching hours and hours of reviews of Reds and BM6Pro's I still find this particular look, this particular softness and color more appealing for some reason. Just sold an expensive Sony, very good for the market they made for, but unfortunately cannot tolerate the codec. Purchased, during a period of 6 months, bmpcc og, Ursa mini 4.6k & bmpcc 4K with lens each and in mint condition. The og and Ursa 4.6 record CDNG lossless internally and I’m trying to downgrade the bmpcc 4K to firmware 5.1 to move that from braw to CDNG raw.
      Three cameras and I have change to spare from a7s3 (yes waiting on eBay pays off) looking to get some lights with money I’ve got left. I’ve got the Ursa on a shoulder rig but looking at zhiyun crane 3s with steadiwest and the bmpcc 4K is on a zhiyun weebill s and I’ve been able to balance the bmpcc og on a zhiyun crane m2, the latter with the gimbal fits in my coat pocket, NEVER imagined that CDNG with the look and feel this little gem gives is indescribable. These cameras are amazing.

    How did you balance the bmcc 2.5k on the zhiyun crane 2??? This is so frustrating

    • @GRTHK
      @GRTHK  Рік тому

      You need to use the Zhiyun crane inverted, with handles on top and camera underneath.

    As far as I know there's a new thing in Atomos Ninja, there's a new AtomX SDI adapter, only 99 USD, so you don't need to use special adapter

    • @GRTHK
      @GRTHK  3 роки тому +1

      The SDI module from Atomos IS THE SPECIAL ADAPTER! It's around £190 in UK.
      There is a Blackmagic SDI In / HDMI Out converter that's around £60? I did use that on BMCC before I got the AtomX SDI
