Spence is a top 10 pound for pound fighter. Literally anybody in 147-154 that’s not Crawford, Spence demolishes. Crawford went Super Saiyan on Saturday, but let’s see how Spence handles his first loss. We might or might not witness Spence’s Super Saiyan moment. Sometimes all it takes is that loss. I wanna see him perfect his footwork, counterpunching, and hand speed, alongside a better S&C regimen. Bud’s motivation was the naysayers and everyone counting him out. Now Spence’s motivation is to get it back in blood. He’s cut from a different cloth. Even if he don’t win the rematch, I promise we’re gonna see a different Spence for the better.

Mr. Foreman said that you can't box a boxer, which is true, but in the case of Crawford, the problem with that is, Bud has the ability to out box you AND out PUNCH you. Crawford once literally stopped a fighter on a body shot. He's like prime Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Etc. where they can straight up fight as well as they can box. Simply put, Crawford is in a different league then Spence.

  • @Keepdapocket
    @Keepdapocket Рік тому +3

You have to be tactical on assessments.
    1. Spence doesn’t need to retire. He needs a significant amount of time off.
    2. During that time off, obviously, it’s to heal. BUT, he needs to retool. He needs to add to his bag.
    3. People are saying he looked bad. If you’ve ever been hit in your ear, your equilibrium is off. The 2nd knockdown was straight to his ear. Your equilibrium takes a while to come back. He was done after that 2nd knockdown. His balance was way off.
    4. Boxers know, styles make fights. This was a very bad fight for Spence. He could have been in perfect shape, and it wouldn’t have mattered. His style is perfect for Bud.
Spence can come back, but he needs time for healing AND retooling. He has never had any movement. Heal for three months, get back in the gym and retool, and he can make some things happen at 154/160. Take about 3 fights of C fighters to put the new retooling to use and get sharp again, and he can be at or close to the top again. However, if he doesn’t change his style, he will just be a top five fighter in whatever weight class, but not dominant.

Advanced head movement training, put 2 pound weights around each of Errol's wrist and have him do speedbag punching (with the weights on) heavy bag (without the wrist weights), footwork training....concentrating on cutting of the ring then "targeted punching" (jaw, temple, eye, bridge of nose, ears, left/right sides of neck, sternum, rib and liver shots (aim 2 to 3 inches above the waistline from left to right side of waist)
Exercises - basic calisthenics (push ups, crunches, pull ups and dips) PLYOMETRICS, swimming, bike riding, sauna once a week 45 min to an hour.
Counterpunching taught by a martial artist (preferably Jeet Kune Do trainer)
One year to year and a half of all these suggestions made into a training plan/regiment and if he were to start training two months from now by New Years Day 2025. Errol would be ready to knock Crawford clean out and do more damage than Crawford did to him (significantly more). I would put thousands of dollars on that version of Spence (at 154 pds).
    Guaranteed.

I've been in plenty of fights growing up, wrestled in high school, and even at 41 now I train in boxing. The skill gap is too large here and these aren't heavyweights so the chances of Errol sparking Crawford with just one shot will be hard. Spence had zero head movement, footwork was trash, and walked straight forward. He also lunged on punches which got him put down the first time. These are all fundamental things we learn consistently in class.

He could, but it's not likely. People are acting like Bud won't be stronger and healthier at 154, too - he said himself that the weight cut wasn't easy for him, so it works both ways. Spence simply doesn't have the skills and IQ to beat someone of Bud's caliber, and at 33, he's not suddenly going to learn them in a few months. A rematch at a higher weight class won't change much; maybe Spence can last a round or two longer, but he'll still be taking a lot of damage from Bud's jabs.

Errol would fight at 165 in the amatuers hes a big guy idk how he gets to 147. If this fight was at 54 i think bud would win and even stop errol but the fight would be better much closer. I believe that. Errol punches had nothing on them nothing. He hit bud right in thr chin clean in rd. 5 but it didnt move bud at all. Looked like slow motion.
Bud is superior but i do want the rematch at 54. Unless hes got a health issue eye problem then he shud retire. But to drain yourself from 170 walking ariund to 147 not good

@@fmsstudio6316 In your estimation (asking seriously), what does a 'much closer' fight look like for Errol? He literally didn't win a single round other than the first one where neither guy engaged much, and he didn't look competitive in any of those rounds, either. It's a very low bar.
Errol cuts a lot of weight, but so does Bud. Bud walks around at 177... he's bigger and stronger than a lot of people think. I honestly think Bud will be even more of a physical nightmare for Errol at 154 than he was at 147.
