Carole, I look here again. What a fantastic gift you gave to all fans of the Hollies. No words to thank you. Great work Carole. Ah Allan is so so beautiful!
Carrieanne: I keep going back to this video over and over...just to hear Allan's voice, omg!! I get chills!!! Thank you so very much... xxx Barb from CA
This version of 'Peggy Sue Got Married' is identical to 'overdubbing technology' with The Beatles' 'Free As A Bird' and 'Real Love.' This moved me to tears.
Fascinating interview, Carole. I remember hearing this version on the radio when it came out, in 1995. Allan is still smoking hot here. I wanted to kiss him! Thanks so much for this.
carrieanne... you've done it again!! You continue to amaze with your videos. Lovely candid interviews with such beautiful hunks....xxx Thanks a million.
P.S. I was checking him out again, and he does look younger than he did in the seventies. Talk about reverse aging! It was no trouble watching that beautiful face so closely!
Actually, not at all bad. I remember the early over-dub versions of PSGM ... mostly horrendous, and - because of the technology at the time - quite primitive. This version is ... not what I would have expected, but then again ... for them to have done what (say) the Crickets would have done ... would have been pointless. This version takes the song on a slightly different journey, chords-wise, so yeh - refreshing change.
I think it would have been "more awful" to try and diligently copy the original, and as Allan Clarke states at the very end " there is only one Buddy Holly" A little footnote, Graham Nash and Allan Clarke were inspired to become musician's because of Buddy Holly and Phil & Don Everly and have never disguised the respect for those artistes.
I have watched this video so many times. Tony’s guitar gives me chills. I love it!
Top guitarist Tony !!!
♥Tony looks like a baby-faced Doll-as ever!♥ Allan looks so handsome and distinguished!! I love his hair styled that way.

Just found this. I saw it on tv so many years ago I think! Thank you!
Recorded in 1958...and 1995!
P.S. I was checking him out again, and he does look younger than he did in the seventies. Talk about reverse aging! It was no trouble watching that beautiful face so closely!
This is an astonishing version. Was in not recorded in 1993?
What a shame Graham had to talk through Tony's guitar solo
My thought too. But, I have the CD and have heard it many times. It was great to actually SEE Tony playing that solo.
He didn't. An editor's decision.
That's Nash for you
I have, and it is! He's adorable. Maybe he's a got a painting in his attic, too, just like Tony!
*"There is only one Buddy Holly !"*
*~ TRUE ~*
Same goes for my other two favorites
Eddie Cochran and good ole Gene Vincent !
Exactly Hon !!!
Nice upload, Carrie Anne!
Guess why the undertext is in Norwegian?
Allen's hair is usuallu hit and miss, here it is a hit.

ANYONE KNOW WHEN THIS WAS ACTUALLY RECORDED?THANKS.
There's only one Buddy Holly. And a thousand groups followed him hoping someday That'll Be The Day...
TONY HICKS ! ... 8)
TIGER Nei ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I like cuing the video to about oh say 4:42
No I don't - But you are entitled to your opinion.
Nash has certainly lost his Lancashire accent....almost !
Way to modern ????????
It's AWFUL!! Even the wrong chords in the intro. Why do they think they can do better than Buddy? Sacrilege!

They just wanted to sing and play with him, that's all.. he was their inspiration and this was the only way they could do it.
hater
Much appreciate the appreciation of Buddy. But no. This doesn't work. Sorry.
