All 5 Hollies looked lovely and so Handsome. For all you people who said that Allan was mocking all Americans, I don't think he was, He only said that he took he family to America for 2 months and didn't like the American way of life so he decided take his family back to England. Allan is entitled to an opinion just like the rest of us. And Russell Harty asking Bobby why he wears a hat is stupid and inappropriate question, whether or not Bobby wears a hat is his own business.
Thanks for the video, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I love the way you talk ALLAN. The music is always wonderful. Thanks, love the video.
tee hee I love to see people live long enough to eat their own words, love you madly Allan and God bless the USA and it's environment of rocky mountain, majestic waterfalls, grassy plains, peaceful deserts, sunny Florida beaches ... :)
:) Thank you, although I must clarify: I'm English born and raised but I'm a Canadian fan now. There are thousands of #1 Hollies fans in the UK who don't need any help from me!!!.
I have always loved this song, since it came out. It's yet another Hollies "should have been" hits. It kind of sounds like a Hall & Oates tune. Sadly, this was as the group's contract with Polydor was coming to an end, so they didn't bother to promote it as hard as they should have. Also, this version is completely different than any that was released.
You are SO right! There are so many of their songs that I can't believe were not huge hits and I can only think that someone dropped the ball. Stellar vocals by Allan, brilliant harmonies and arrangements on truly wonderful, memorable songs that just stick in your mind.
@tomthefunky Chill out folks. He may have felt that way at the time but he lives in the USA now with his family and has done so pretty much since leaving The Hollies way back when.
@buildthis99: You make a good point here. He has every right to prefer another country's culture over another. But 50's and 60's Britain was obsessed with American culture. They copied our clothes our hairstyles and our music. They dreamed of owning big American cars. Shit, they even sang using American slang in their songs. They flocked to our movies. They danced our dance-moves. They were seduced by California culture. Why didn't Allan Clarke reject any of this in the 60's??? It's ridiculous.
He doesn't like the "American way of life", but I bet he loves our money. And if it wasn't for the "American way of life", there would be no rock and roll, and therefore, no Hollies. Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers may have been an influence on his music but they, unlike him, had manners. Never trust a man with a perm.
Your such a jerk! Allan Clarke is a great guy who is known as a true gentleman and a first class guy! LISTEN to what he said and watch other interviews he's done before reacting in a hot headed way!!!!!
Linda Taylor Ikr...and just the thought of Allan Clarke possibly getting stuck hanging out with John Phillips is pretty damn cringy to say the least. I can imagine Graham Nash was still friends with those folks since Mama Cass is the one who introduced him to Crosby and Anyways I hope we all don't get blamed for animals like Papa John...

Just a fabulous band

Great song by a great band
LOL! Tony for sure speaks volumes to me too everyday-he's a real HOTTIE and every bit a cutie in his 60's.
I love the Hollies

Thanks for an interesting clip, Carole!
I can't believe they ran credits while The Hollies were playing.
Thanks ever so much for posting this!♫
luv this song...
Does Tony ever age??!!❤❤❤❤
How can someone be presented with a band as great and as interesting as the Hollies and ask such pointless and stupid questions?
Omg. It's Allan and Tony and Bobby
Nice find. Thanks for sharing
@tomthefunky and thanks for your aorcraft carriers and all the guys on them. from uk
He's always winking at you...you're so lucky!!
Oh no, it broke my heart when Allen said he didn't like America. Oh well, I still love you guys.

Also there were many B-sides who should have been the A ones 🤷🏻♀️ ohwng
Hola, alguien piadoso que pusiera subtitulos en español a la entrevista porfaaaaa"!!! me encanta The Hollies,,, Tony 😍
Yes, if he wasn't so handsome, I'd smack him! He did sound a little upset when talking about Graham. I think he still wasn't over him leaving.
Looking remarkably fit indeed...I wonder if Tony wore that diaphanous white shirt in homage to their '74 appearance on this same program?

David Bailey He probably suffered from culture shock. He gave his honest opinion which I respect a lot more than smarmy bullshit.
👏👏👏👏👏🎼
Hola, alguien piadoso que pusiera subtitulos en español a la entrevista porfaaaaa"!!!amo a The Hollies,,, Tonyyy
Check out Tony's body language...speaks volumes!

Allen Clarke looks so hot here
Spinal Tap definitely got material from this..the different band names
How did Russell Harty ever get employed? Talk about asking all the wrong questions. To Bobby: Why are you wearing that hat? Talk about lack of tact.
Graham Nash is actually on this song.
America is a good place but LA and Vegas are wild places
@roots66
idk... but for whatever reason he wore it, i enjoyed it very much!!! didn't you???
Allan, I love you, but don't mock the U.S.! Thanks, Carole!
Yes, that's what I think it was, but he could have stated so differently, instead of making it look like he dislikes the way all Americans live.
Sad song

Tony was always the shy one ,Tezza the Manch.............
This song is about a one night stand
Harty comes across as rather pompous...I'm sure its an act 🤔 Apparently Allan now has a home in the USA...either North or South Carolina.
Not one of their best!

Statement of fact. Would you honestly want to live in the UK for example ......thought so !

You need help.
