I am currently 13, and my family is Indonesia and I have lived in Norway for about 6 years (currently living in America) and all I remember form Norway was staying at home, never going ANYWHERE, it was ALWAYS dark and always having to play at least an hour a day in the cold weather. The only time I remember getting McDonald was once, and it was really far from where I lived.

That's because Norway is the 3rd richest country in the world with average annual income of $70392, while Indonesia is the 114th richest country in the world with average annual income of $3604. Even if Norway is expensive, but you also earn a huge income :)

I'm Indonesian and I agree that smoking has become a pandemic here. Even kids can easily obtain and smoke cigarettes in public like it's no big deal. There are far too many smokers that you could easily choke from cigarette smoke at public parks. There needs to be tighter regulation on the sales and distribution of tobacco products, including and especially cigarettes. I know that it's one of the biggest contributors to Indonesia's GDP, but that's a terrible excuse to maintain the very low barrier to smoking.
Rp. 45.000 for barbershop is already a scam or overpriced, since us (local Indonesian) only paid about 25.000 - 30.000 for a haircut + shaving + message on a nice barbershop.
wow what a great content man. i really love how you deliver it as easy as we can understand. but i was shocked knowing the high prices in norway, even in a small things. keep doing great job! if you have an occasion please kindly come to yogyakarta (indonesia). i will accompany you pleasantly. respect from indonesian
nice channel dude! i'm from indonesia, if you come to solo city in cental java indonesa you get more cheap price for all you need, like traditional food like nasi liwet, sate kere, serabi, tengkleng and many more and you can view processed to make a "batik" in solo city, you can view the culture like wayang kulit, traditional dance and performing art. btw many tourist like you studied art and culture in here.
I like this content video, but exactly i like all of video in this channel. Hopefully, all tourist from all around the world can enjoy Indonesia and sharing about knowledge each other. Be wealth and god bless 😇
I've never been in Indonesia but i think i would love the country during summer season, because the precipitation is incredibily high (on Java) and i think i would love to stand in the rain while the temperature is around 20 degrees celcius, if not higher.
Bro, really nice video. Even if I come from the neighbour country and have been to Norway so many times it still surprise me how much I have to pay for service & food. You should compare the min. salary Norway vs UMR in Indonesia (here in Jakarta it's Rp 3,4 million, maybe 2 million in Medan?)... after that the prices might make a bit more sense :P
in indonesia food and service is cheap but the electronic price is crazy u have to work 2 month to get 1 ps 4 and u have to work 4 month to get iphone and u have to save all your money to get all that item
Hello Mathias, thank you for your video. I would like to learn more about cost of living in Norway. I am planning to send my daughter to study in Oslo. I heard the cost of living can be very expensive in Norway. I just want to be sure my daughter can survive to live there with stipend budget until she finish college.
It is not important how much goods and services cost in both counries. The point is how much ordinary people earn in a month. From that point of views it is not fair to say Norway is an expensive and Indonesia is a cheapest country.
Lets say, im on a vacation to norway. And exclude the travel cost, i have 8 million in my pocket, and i drive a car, but suddenly the cop stop me and he gives me a ticket. And suddenly i will be a homeless person in norway. Lol.
I do agree with you. The service business outside Indonesia is way too expensive. The reason is because of the wages of the Indonesian labor is way” cheaper than in Norway. That’s probably the major reason why goods or service in Indonesia can be so much cheaper than in Norway.
Bangga dong jadi orang Indonesia.
Hoss Cartwright Compare to us who only made $200 - $300 (average income) a month x 12 months = $2400 - $3600 a year. Whole fucking year, I'm not even joking.
Yeah, there's a huge difference between Norway and Indonesia. A common Norwegian travelling to Indonesia will be shocked about how cheap things are, but an Indonesian travelling to Norway will be shocked about how expensive everything is. Like, gasoline in Norway is $2 per liter. In Indonesia it's $0.5 per liter LOL
Hoss Cartwright 70k a year is too much. It should be around US$ 20000 a year after taxes. I live in germany, and no way norway salary much higher than than
I'm talking about before taxes, that's how it is calculated because people pay individual tax. We pay about 30-37% tax so do the math. Monthly average earnings in Norway for full time employed workers was 45 000 NOK in 2015. It goes up about 2.5% per annum. www.ssb.no/en/arbeid-og-lonn/statistikker/lonnansatt/aar/2016-03-03 I make about 50 000 NOK (~6,400 USD) before tax a month which is pretty average according to SSB.
Hoss Cartwright sorry I was wrong when converting eur to usd, my bad. I earn eur 3500 after taxes, so it is eur 42000 a year or usd 50000. So usd 70000 a year before taxes is very reasonable, lol.
Well, in a contrary, a wine from the liquor shop at Norway cost around 13 USD while in Jakarta at least 28 USD. A kg of fine cheese in norway probably 15 USD, and in Jakarta cost 33 USD or more. 🤷♀️🤷♂️
WTF.... Shaving di norway ampe 850rb.....

you have to smuggle it tho
TIBO eh my father smuggles in luggage so easy nah
Umm, I don't think it's legal, you can bribe Indonesian customs but it may not be the case once you arrive in Norway.
nice channel dude! i'm from indonesia, if you come to solo city in cental java indonesa you get more cheap price for all you need, like traditional food like nasi liwet, sate kere, serabi, tengkleng and many more and you can view processed to make a "batik" in solo city, you can view the culture like wayang kulit, traditional dance and performing art. btw many tourist like you studied art and culture in here.

The barber shop tho. Shocking!
Anyway, another amazing content. ✨💖
Why dont you compare norwegian salary with indonesian..
+Rifqi Agung I have a plan to do it!:)
If he'd did that then Indonesia would have been the expensive one!
who cares? this is for tourists.
Sébastien Lemarquis i agree
i recognize the pattern here, lol. this is google translate.
Berbahagialah tinggal di indonesia jgn selalu ngeluh jangan terus nyinyir seharusnya kita selalu bersyukur.
The door says pull and you push. LOL
sundayshu hi
kebiasaan oranh indo. pintunya dikatakan dorong tapi malah ditarik.
$90 for hair cut is crazy, it may be the most expensive in this world.
Jacob Ludvigsen ye its insane because in sydney its like $20 bucks
Man in NL the cheap one can be 30-40EUR so Norway is expensive even for Europeans lol
Hardcore Panda at a place near me its 1$-2$, and my friend says its so expensive
In Canada where I live the prices are between 15-25 CAD(12 -20 USD). But 90 is way expensive.
Hardcore Panda then go to Sweden instead. Its 2.5x cheaper than Norway
That is true, and it will come in another movie! :D
Bel Nielsen medan 2,8million in rupiah.
Indonesia sekali cukur dua juta, minggu depan langsung naik haji
ya iyalah murah ada pabriknya disini. nice vlog due, thumbs up!
That are normally due UMR(salary of society), society needs, and society stylelife of Indonesia are not high compared to Norway.
Asep Nur Fauzi GDP Norway no 2 sedunia njir. Gaji rata2 mereka 2xnya gaji rata2 USA
Jadi mereka kebanyakan duit kayaknya hahaha
UMR=minimum wage
Fadillah Nurmawan hahahaha
Fadillah Nurmawan copot tangan mu mass😂😂
Norway will always be my dream country, i love skam, aurora and angelina jordan.
1 rupiah = 10 dollar
Ntar gw jadi presiden 100dollar=1ribu rupiah :V
@@realcatinside6499 GK ad yg mau beli barang Indonesia kalau 1 rupiah= 10 dollar, minimal 1 dollar= 13 RB rp
in indonesia food and service is cheap but the electronic price is crazy u have to work 2 month to get 1 ps 4 and u have to work 4 month to get iphone and u have to save all your money to get all that item
+Vinoxixixi Xxixi thats true, i dont now have people can afford it!!:)
because most of them are imported
dont buy iphone if you cheep.. just buy xiaomi hahahha
iPhone 7 32GB storage in Norway NOK 7390. If payed with IDR = 15 460 251, according to the currency calculator :)
You have to work 3 days for a steak. 5 hours for a liter of milk. 6 months for a motorbike.
Sekarang gw tau kenapa THOR waktu ngungsi ke tønsberg jadi gondrong & brewokan, 2juta mending beli 🍺 sampe buncit
That depends though, because in Norway hair salons and barber shops are priced differently in different parts of town.
Crazy price, if Indonesian go to Norway obviously broke at time
"There are too many people smoking in Indonesia" 😂😂
Hello Mathias, thank you for your video. I would like to learn more about cost of living in Norway. I am planning to send my daughter to study in Oslo. I heard the cost of living can be very expensive in Norway. I just want to be sure my daughter can survive to live there with stipend budget until she finish college.
"U know that's insane" lol 😆😆
want request, try using Indonesian language in your video pls
Great video! Terimakasih, enjoy Indonesia 🙌
It is not important how much goods and services cost in both counries. The point is how much ordinary people earn in a month. From that point of views it is not fair to say Norway is an expensive and Indonesia is a cheapest country.
He just compared it, not made any social science research 😅

I very very agree with you. Btw, nice video thought. Btw, im Indonesian (i just say )
Lets say, im on a vacation to norway. And exclude the travel cost, i have 8 million in my pocket, and i drive a car, but suddenly the cop stop me and he gives me a ticket. And suddenly i will be a homeless person in norway. Lol.
I want to make barbershopp in norway to life in indo
I do agree with you. The service business outside Indonesia is way too expensive. The reason is because of the wages of the Indonesian labor is way” cheaper than in Norway. That’s probably the major reason why goods or service in Indonesia can be so much cheaper than in Norway.
Semangat terus membuat video !
our president need to see this video for how cheap cigarette on our country
i love your videos. its so informative. keep it up bro..
Bangga dong jadi orang Indonesia.
Also know that the average salary in Norway is US$70 000 a year
Hoss Cartwright Compare to us who only made $200 - $300 (average income) a month x 12 months = $2400 - $3600 a year.
It goes up about 2.5% per annum. www.ssb.no/en/arbeid-og-lonn/statistikker/lonnansatt/aar/2016-03-03
I make about 50 000 NOK (~6,400 USD) before tax a month which is pretty average according to SSB.
Hoss Cartwright sorry I was wrong when converting eur to usd, my bad. I earn eur 3500 after taxes, so it is eur 42000 a year or usd 50000. So usd 70000 a year before taxes is very reasonable, lol.
Love every foreigner in indonesia that respect every single thing in indonedia...
im usually getting haircut with only rp.15.000
I'm just Rp 10.000
im just rp 8000
Gratis cuy, emak gw yg nyukur 😂😂😂
ngacengan ?
laki normal cuk
Surya Makmur wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwk
purel apaan?
purel anjeer :v
Well, in a contrary, a wine from the liquor shop at Norway cost around 13 USD while in Jakarta at least 28 USD. A kg of fine cheese in norway probably 15 USD, and in Jakarta cost 33 USD or more. 🤷♀️🤷♂️
