Thanks for sharing your journey with us Blair What a combination of Deserts Green and Pleasant lands Then the snow topped Rocky mountains I remember learning about the 49’ers in school back in the 60’s Some trying to seek their fortune in gold no doubt Anyway you hit the jackpot at the end of your journey What a beautiful granddaughter you have Thanks again for sharing with us 🤗🤗👍👍
Great trip Blair, and the best kind of destination to arrive to - Congratulations! I'm an easterner, and a couple of years ago my wife and I took a 64 day road trip to the west coast and back. I found that Great Basin area of NV/UT to be a bit disconcerting at first with no trees but eventually, it clicks and you realize that it's the landscape, and the SKY that are the "wow" factors. Loved it, and can't wait to get back out there.
Road trips are the best…I love that part of the country, it seems to be frozen in time in some places out there. So many interesting amazing places to see in this country, I don’t need to go overseas 👍🏼
I'm like you, I love to look, listen, smell and feel the wonders of this awesome Earth! This was very fun, thanks for sharing and congratulations on the Grandbaby! James
Congratulations grandad and ‘natuurlijk’ the rest of the family, when you showed the meadows…. I could smell the grass! And ‘MUGGEN’,… ARE EVAL (you can transit the two Dutch words 😂)
People miss so much when they are driving. I like to see everything while i drive. There is less graffiti in the tunnel cause they are too scared to go into far. Have a great Independence Day.
Are termites bad for living trees? I have some young 5 year old live oak trees in pots. Their trunks are only about 1.5” in diameter. I have noticed termites building dirt tunnels at the base of the pots and up the trunks of the trees. The trees seem healthier and I assume the termites are eating the mulch in the pots. But wasn’t sure if they are good or bad for my young trees.
@@user-hn9fr7mn3x in my experience, I only see termites in the dead cavities of trees as well as carpenter ants. They are both indicators of a problem. In your case, it sounds like your termites are subteran in the dirt.
Thanks for taking us along I love the pictures of you and the baby Congratulations
She is so cute. And so tiny!

Some of the small towns along the way were very interesting
Congratulations on the new family member!
Thanks, I forgot just how tiny the fingers are
The journey is the destination, rhanks !
👍🏻
Well done, Grampa!
Thank you
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed this
Slightly weird question, but can you use the salt from the salt flats as table salt?
Also, congrats on your granddaughter.
Salt Lake salt has been used as table salt for the public since late 1800's
I was wondering the same thing. I did see a giant pile of it so I guess yes
👍🏻
The Morton Salt Company has a factory there, Blair passed it but it's tucked way back
Thanks. New life is truly a miracle.

@@arboristBlairGlenn yeah they definitely reside mostly in the dirt that’s in the pots. The pots are sitting on top of concrete
@@user-hn9fr7mn3x try putting some bricks or risers under the pots
@@arboristBlairGlenn ok will do
