- It's spring at the cabin, which means it's time to take the buckets and taps off the trees!
Syrup season seemed like it came and went so fast year but ended up being the best season so far. We finished up with 50L of syrup which is more than enough to get through the year.
Now that syrup season is over, it's time to move on to all the spring projects. Stay tuned to see what's planned for the cabin and the homestead this season!

Cool video. Washing buckets is always my least favorite part. I think it was a quick season here in the Northeastern States too.

You guys had a great syrup year! Have you considered using food grade collecting buckets on the trees? Could sell for a premium.
The set up we have now is working , upgrades in the future are always a possibility 🍁

U should really wash those barrels and pails and drop lines out really well. Bacteria grows fast and can off flavour syrup quick. Awesome video 😊
They get washed at the end of every season! I mentioned in the video that they’ll get a good wash 🧼
@@living.different I live south of Ottawa. Our syrup season was strange. We had to dump our last 800 gallons. It spoiled really fast.

Glad you had a good sap season ! Fresh Maple Syrup :) Big job then to clean it all up & get ready for the next projects " We love wood cutting :) I see a lot of widow makers i you drive up, be careful in the bush ! Funny how jobs change with the season , Little cool yet but I'm on to the greenhouse now, & finishing up some lumber :)
Always lots of projects and there are a lot of trees that eventually need to come down! I would love a greenhouse, lucky you! 🌱
@@living.different Well i off grid it full time so love my fresh veggies , but as i get better set up & a little older i want to be on the road more so garden gets a little smaller each year :) So my video's will slowly change & have a few more road trips :))

@@justinflott5133currently at the old tin shed, I have cast iron skillet seasoning and I’ll be adding 2 more products there shortly! Syrup is available online only right now
