Does anyone else just watch these and find them relaxing 😌
I think that's the point
Sorry,@@danielholmberg1875, but there are strange people like me who look at the description, then download the pattern and use leather, tools, thread, needles and dye in order to make these leather goods themselves... but just looking at the video while listening to the music is fine also! 👍👍👍
yes
Yes, absolutely I watch these because they r relaxing!
No. Absolutely no one else does that. You are the only one. 🙄
Master craftsman like yourself doesn’t have to worry about any leather items being out of stock.😜 The tray with your logo is as classy as the Hermes one👍🏼👍🏼
That's too much,, Thanks for your kind words!
i like his even better than the hermes one
This is awesome. Perfect explanation why it' better to buy goods from small studios than large fashion houses
Glad you like it and I agree, I'm sure they have a reason ;)
@@HahnsAtelier I am trying to order the same leather that you guys used, but the site is in Korean. How did you manage this?
Wow, you're very brave opening the edge paint right above the project! :D
Very nice. Going to make this for my wife for our anniversary next week! And thank you for the Letter sized pattern. The A-4 gives me so much grief. LOL Have a great weekend.
Perfect timing! I want to start making a leather dice tray and this is a great help! 😊👍
You are one of the craftsmen at the top of my list for leather craft viewing.
Your video is so relaxing itself. I like your style.
mmmmm... such beauty and style... ty once again for all you do and your kindness...
Another great inspirational video hahns. A step was missed for those following along. It’s useful to note that the tracing of the square hole that was cut in the stencil will be used again. I used it to mark the location off the split leather on the grain side of the outer shell before applying glue.
Hahns, You have been a great resource that helps me develop new skills. Thank you and keep them coming. ✌️
YES SIR. !!!
Thank you for your time and effort this is just great to watch, simple and beautiful !!! 100%
For some reason the quick montage made me thing of Edgar Wright and Guy Ritchie who like quick routine montages :))))
But honestly I'm sitting and being amazed. It smells like luxury.
Excellent distraction ,it teach and we learn to appreciate manual working , keep going .thank you guys.
Think I've watched this video about a dozen times now. So soothing to watch and be inspired. Finally made one using your pattern and I absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing your craft with us Hahn!
Already have one hermes and it cost me just a finger nail. Not a arm and a leg! Ninner Ninner!
Looks fab, Hahns! ❤️❤️❤️
I had a go using just one piece of leather. Thanks for the pattern. 👍
Thank you for sharing your patterns, time and videos. My husband & I love your videos 🙂👍
Back nearly 20 years ago a British guy called Jay Cousins brought out a very similar looking product called the Orikaso folding plate (for campers) - made from sheet plastic rather than leather but a darned sight cheaper than $500 and multi-functional too - you can eat your chili con carne from it and then use it to store your watch and rings overnight on the bedside table - after washing it first of course!
Sounds really useful! Thanks!
i had so much fun making this pattern, thank you!
My pleasure!!
Love the detailed work with each piece Hahns. Just shows your master craftsmanship. Appreciate alk you do and share my friend. 👍👍❤❤❤
Awesome. You make it look so easy. Very relaxing to watch. Good background music as well. Thanks.

Thank you very much!
You are an incredible artist!
Wow $500 who would honestly pay this amount
Great vid
Yours is just beautiful as the $500 one at a fraction of the ridiculous price !!
Make a leather journal too, you haven't made it yet since you started, i will eagerly wait for it.
Very nice video my friend. You never disappoint.
Very nice and easy-to-handle 👌
Lindoo, como tudo que vocês fazem... Dá um lindo porta guardanapo... abraços
Your and made, dice tray it is great , and have an inestimable value, like your time. Thanks a lot 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Love it! Would much rather own one of yours than Hermès
Precioso!!!
Muchas Gracias. 😘 😘
@@oninza6135 De nada! Las dudas que tengas aquí estamos!
Perfect
Love this. Also what is the song in the background? So relaxing
Nice work i was expecting this type tray thanks 👍
Great!! Most welcome 😊
Very nice work,thanks.
Thank you my friend
Bravo 👍👍👍
Qué excelente! Gracias por tus vídeos, son muy interesantes!
Excelent! Thanks for your videos, they are very interesting!
I was once shopping and saw that exact tray, and thought "600$... really, its just some leather riveted on the corners. Even with high grade material, and handcraft thats not cost you more than 100$ over all. Who would buy that? I can do that myself."
After seeing you, doing that thing, I am all the more confident I could do one myself.
Really nice work. but those Labels are killing me with their profit margins. It's just money grabs at this point.
Beautiful, nicely done, something else I can make. :)
Very, very nice!
Does anyone know the names of the tools he's using and the specific name for the button clasps?
Thank you for the video! :)
That is a good attempt, but you should check out an actual leather change tray from Hermes first to see how light and thin the leather is. They use 2 sheets of 0.6mm for a total of 1.2mm these are glued and the template cut out after not before. Trying to match up 2 separate sheets can be inaccurate. They use a 9 teeth pricking iron and poppers that snap together, not permanent studs.
These are my assumptions:
I think he wasn't trying to make an exact replica of the Hermes tray. It's in a way a click bait. Hence he didn't stick to the same rivets/studs either.
He also used the wing divided to cut the leather to be a tad bit larger than the tray he intended to make . After gluing the two sheets and the split leather in between together, he can cut both layers for cleaner edges, so he didn't really have to line both sheets perfectly to begin with.
Gracias por compartir tú conocimiento.👍
Can you do a video of how to make a cover for the Bose Soundlink wireless speaker? They don’t sell them anymore so I would like to make one. Thanks!
I like yours better than the h and would also pay the $500 for yours. All the neat work!!!! 🙀🤩
Amazing! Thank you!🇧🇷
Good job 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Hahns, can you try Moynat Cabotine type of small bag? You can make a better bag then Moynat itself. :-)
What adhesive you use? Any link ? Looks so clean and easy to apply.
Thanks.
Awesome 👏👏👏👍

Thanks.
I was just wondering if there is any way to not leave a mark after attaching those two little accessories together....
Well done and Im a leather artist
Once again, congratulations to, and admiration for, Mr. Hahns for his video and the quality of his video.
$495? I was in Florence perhaps 6 years ago and bought two of these trays (without any logo) from a very nice street market. I can’t remember exactly what I paid but it won’t have been much more than €10 or €15. Where as I can appreciate the design of much of Hermes work and accept that people do pay through the nose for the name cache, $495 is....well, congratulations to Hermes for apparently getting punters to pay that much.
Come to me and I will only charge 10% of that.....
10 minutes to cut the pieces/select leather etc, 10 to glue all things togheter, 30-40 to sew along the border by hand? Lets call it one hour of work @30bucks+materials and a solid 50€ seems fair so you go with atleast abit of profit in europe/the west ? =)
Brilliant 😀😉👍🏿
Hello, can you please tell me what brand of edge beveler you use and Whitchurch nr . Thank you very much the wonderful videos
Hello, congratulations on your work, what kind of glue do you use to join the leathers? Greetings, thank you
molto bello...complimenti...mi puoi dire dove compri il colore del bordo Fenice..?? grazie
Excelent job! May I ask you what glue did you use?
Hello, nice work, what kind of thread are you using and in which diameter? Thx

Que software ocupas?
Excelso Vornia!!!
Better than Hermes
in my opinion a whole point of this design is to have an option to flatten this container down for travel. Why not use a button?
Of course you can use a button as well.
Which kind of glue did you use in your videos?
Cool !!!
Thanks!
Can I buy this? :-)
can you tell me? what program you use to draw you pattern
what type and size of thread did you use?
