Should have mentioned that to carry 4x8 plywood or sheetrock, that it will fit with the tail gate down, like what most full size pickup trucks have to do
The rear view mirror will probably be more useful interacting with rear passengers than monitoring behind the truck.
I will be attaching to that rearview mirror an aftermarket wireless "mirror" screen made for those who tow trailers. The wireless camera is placed on the back of the trailer, or on the back of the Cybertruck (next to its rear-facing camera), and give the camera 12 volts, and you've got it. Now, I hope I can delete the rear image from the main screen. I've been looking up at that mirror for over 50 years... too late to learn new tricks.
Wish the rear view mirror would just be digital using the rear camera.
I really hope it has a digital connection in there.
I never thought of that but I would want that and that's probably why they changed it. It's also safer so your not turning around to talk. I can live with the onscreen view.
Nothing that we didn't know better weeks ago.
What if rear seat backs folded down? That would create a lot of space. Especially with the 90 degree doors.
I hope Tesla will use some of the interior improvements and tech from this car in future model Y because Cybertruck isn't for everyone or the mainstream. I am not going to trade my current Y for the minor changes in the 2024 Y.
You answered my sleep in the car question no other idiot posted about, THANK YOU!
U know i had to do the investigations!
There were some details in this video I hadn't come across yet. And I've watched quite a lot of CT content.
Great video. Whats up with the on board air compressor?
Come on, man. The 4-7in. rear floor width is not a ‘can sleep if you curl’ reality.
it looks like you live in your truck now
He said that these were biggest wheels he had ever seen ! Typical Tesla fanboy drivel
I have not seen one review/preview of the Cybertruck yet from an actual truck guy. When someone calls the truck bed a "trunk" you know they have never spent anytime around a truck.
Yeah, OTOH the bed is more trunk like than any other truck...
The amount of after market accessories on the cybertruck will be crazy
@@t.a.7970 More than 2 millions reservations for the Cybertruck...
@Wirmish 😂 reservations mean nothing besides, why would any company build make any after-market parts when there are literally only 50 cybertrucks currently in the wild!?
@@ezragonzalez8936Some of us make aftermarket accessories because we love tinkering with trucks and making cool stuff. 🤘
And almost every exterior accessory will disrupt airflow and drastically reduce range.
soon nobody will buy toyota anymore, afterall they fakes crash tests for 30 years@@t.a.7970
this would be an interesting truck for isolated field work go out in the field and hook up a solar panel could sleep in a warm truck during the night and use a coffee brewer and electric griddle in the morning etc.
A refreshed Delorean for Back-to-the-Future remake.
Yeah but in that final the train will be trashed and not the Cybertruck...
Who puts white interior trim in a truck??? Carbon fiber or mossy oak please!
People who do not want to use it as a working truck
No thanks
Dude … you said too many incorrect things in the interest of sounding good and not paying attention to what you were saying. Watch your measuring tape when you measured the wiper … you measured the windshield … and I’m out.
You did not measure the length and width of the truck - to fit in the garage
17:28 The 48V LV architecture has nothing to do with the 110/240V outlets. They're driven by the HV side
Hope you like the $200 windshield wiper blade😂🤡
Tesla Design marketing: Refined, uncluttered, roomy, minimalist, efficient, just like your desire to give for nature
Elon: "Yea my followers are basically retarded, cheapest as possible we have a hepa filter anyway for the toxic outgassing"
"We could say we designed it for that sir"
"Bob, make this guy King of the company"
"Thats you sir"
People spend thousands on wraps, oversized (and less efficient) wheels and then complain of cost to replace wiper or range just over 300 miles .
Raj, I wish that you had the time to show the high power 120 volt 20 amp outlets and the 240 volt 50 amp NEMA 14-50 outlet on the left side of the truck bed.
O shit I saw the video where they drove it to the shop 😂. Didn't expect raj to drop in
Raj, why were there water droplets INSIDE the charge port?
16:39 All of those 120 volt outlets are 20 amps like the Lightning, but the Rivian’s are all 15 amps. The 240 volt NEMA 14-50 are also the full 50 amps in both the Tesla and the Ford, but I don’t remember what the Rivian has.
Ford is only 32 amps
Rivian doesn't have a 240 outlet
@@Aircam73 Thank you, that’s why I couldn’t remember. Does Rivian have a 30 amp 120 volt twist lock outlet?
@@Aircam73The Tesla truck is the best!
@@mitchellbarnow1709 I am not sure of the exact amps that Rivian had. I wanted a 240 outlet on the truck and since Rivian didn't have one I didn't go to far deeper with it. Rivian makes a fine truck I just wanted something a little bigger with a 240 outlet.
He really just slept, great video man...cybertruck is damn beautiful!!
Its the ugliest vehicle that's been put on the road for decades.
I think it grows on you and it is caused by the extreme function over form design choices. A lot of people find beauty or at least an inherent sense of quality in functionality. Few people would call a big bulldozer beautiful. But it sure is impressive in its power and solidity. Legacy trucks have a problem now - in comparison they come off as fragile and even somewhat feminine...
Some electrical details: The 120V outlets appear to be 20 amp configuration (hair dryer, power tools, etc). 48V architecture = more efficient and safer power with less demand on copper wiring/cable. Big battery 800V architecture = superior charge times (fast).
Thinking about the missing middle seat in the front. It occurs to me watching another video , showing the seats bolted to the battery pack before installation into the truck. In order to lift the seats up into the truck opening the seats would need to be in a bit from the sides. Great for speed on the production line , and probably super great for safety in the event of a side on collision. Middle seat looses out , but , that's the tradeoff that arises.
No one talks about it - it was my fav feature.
A frunk is a truncated trunk.
Great review.
I ordered a CT on 12/2020🤞.
I will wrap my CT in colored ppf.
Im in the northeast. Any guess when 2020 reservations will be filled .
Yes, the small rear view camera will still be super useful for people with kids and dogs.
On a trip, removal of the rear seats with a raised mattress with storage underneath would be awesome. You could drive all day, then pull over and trickle charge while you sleep at night.
You could have a mini fridge in the back along with your luggage. That would be perfect set up for two people traveling cross country
They left a lot of things off the production vehicle, like the drop-down tailgate with built-in ramp that was on the proto-type, where they rode a quad up into the bed. the bed is shorter than originally planned and other things that are disappointing to me. Expect Insurance to be very high due to repair costs on replacing these stainless steel panels. Hopefully, some things will be changed in time, but probably not. Currently, my delivery date will be late 2029, but I thing a lot of pre-orders will be cancelled. Range is nowhere near 500 miles, as promised.
Looks cool (Except I don't like the Apple "style" Tablet in the center) It looks like an "add on" + it doesnt have a tachometer (so you have to look at the tablet for your speed while driving)!. Wish it was more flush (and not sticking out like someone glued a tablet in the middle) Suggestion: Perhaps Elon could give buyers an "alternate" Dash (for a little more money)
Even though there is no connection to the interior, you do have outlets in the bed. Just drop in a small electric heater and you're fine. Also, when laying in the bed, why not put feet towards the front?
Good overview. Raj. 👍
Very misleading title, it's not your Cybertruck! Just wow, now you're all the rest with click bait titles. And the tailgate is not powered to lower. But that sub trunk I feel Tesla screwed up because it should have been big enough to hold a spare tire. They also screwed up not having the rear window open up, like every other pickup on the road has. I have to wonder how many front cameras are going to get scratched/cracked lenses from road debris/stones, it needs a protective replaceable clear cover. The windshields on my Model 3 and now my Model Y had/have nicks from highway driving so a camera down lower with get them easier. And Raj, why would you sleep on the back seat floor instead of on the seats, that was stupid. The rearview mirror should have been a digital one so you could still see out the back with the bed cover closed and not have to look down at the screen.
That booth is ridiculously small, you can’t even fit a couple of big dogs in it. This vehicle is wasting so much internal space. I can fit larger objects in my 1990’s hatchback.
horrible looking truck, and i am sure it is a fail. plastics everywhere, shitty design.. the only plus is the tech and acceleration. don't get me wrong. am an investor who is let down by this crazy truck
When you close the back cover, does it stop like a garage door if there is an obstacle in the way?
Kim Java and several others already beat you to this. And your mic stinks. But keep trying, I appreciate your efforts!
Lol ambient lighting is pretty common these days, nothing luxurious. E.g. Volkswagen's eUp had that
there is little space in 2nd row - let's be honest. you don't look too tall and I think for someone 6'2" or more, its gonna be tight.
That’s a super review. Thank you TR and happy holidays
Why are you concerned with the trunk? It's a PICKUP!! But a great video overall!
I guess he’s never been in an F150 before. So much of this is not new or unique to the Cybertruck.
That Santa jacket is dope!
I think do some battle damage art job (like gundam) is better than wrap for cybertruck
Another 101 review (not bad)…we need an 0n/off road review. You said we. can get anything from the OCDetailing, like what?? All I saw was tinting and wraps…I need bumper, skid plates, running boards, spare tire rack, lift kits, etc. Only seen the Unplugged stuff. What have you got?
classic op gaslighting himself and his channel with content ideas
I think they do more add ons
They are OC…Detailing. As in they do wraps and tints. I wouldn’t want them to do off roading or charge tests or anything else as its not their wheelhouse. Also those are customer cars they wouldn’t be allowed to lol
Nice! Also, you have the least janky santa jacket I’ve seen in a while :-)🧑🏼🎄
Appreciate it but gotta give credit to Ryan Reynolds’s from Spirited. Got the idea from him!
Ho Ho Merry Christmas. Love the Tesla Cybertruck.
Id be so mad watching a person i didn't know crawl all over my vehicle.
Even if it were Santa?
@@pierre.a.larsen especially that jolly bastard
First look? Hardly. Boring, boring, boring. YT has been flooded with these general CT videos already. Unless you are going to do a tear down of a Cybertruck please stop posting videos.
According to Joe Tegtmeyer if you use a ceramic paint protection product on the SS it doesn’t have the same fingerprint issue.
Have you see the rear of the f150 lightning? This looks much smller
Bro, I LOVE that truck!!! I’m jealous but very excited for you. Enjoy that new ride and ALL OF THAT ATTENTION you’ll get 👌
it's not he's truck, he doesn't even own the shop where it's parked
Question 🙋♀️ Can you open/close the Cover with your phone on the Tesla app? Is there a safety release button from within the bed of the truck to open/close it?
No, once you've bought it and tried it out it becomes your coffin.. God Speed.. :)~
The vehicle that internet tough guys love to hate. And that engineers and designers love.
CLICKBAIT
I still havent seen any of these on the road where im at, which is odd because there are tesla's everywhere here lol
My AT4 has an outlet in the bed and inside…. Old school technology hahaha
how you pronounce Tonneau is dang funny
Very informative
What size is the receiver for trailer hitch, 2” I assume, standard electrical connector for trailer hook up?
It's the same size of the average pickle seed if a wood chuck could chuck pickles.. More or less.. :)~
Nobody talk about back window opening or not on UA-cam yet including you
You can reach stuff stored at other end of storage bay by leaning over the side like on other pickups- if you are eight feet tall
Close to the cab - yes the sides are taller than legacy trucks. But do not forget the entry mode. "The truck kneels". Thus in the middle of the side it is probably just as good or even better than a legacy truck. Anyway, I usually need to climb the tire to get stuff from the side in legacy trucks - often I even need to get into the bed. The higher sides are great for keeping stuff secure not to mention there is more volume in the bed than you have in legacy trucks - and it has that great tonneau cover.
@@pierre.a.larsen I have a '91 full size Dodge, I can easily reach the center of the bed from the side and I'm a hair under 6 ft tall. New trucks are stupidly tall.
Hello, what are the length and width of the front windshield in inches?
cool it's a honda Ridgeline with half the range... oh but it's fast
Hello! This is me saying hi from the other side of the panel gaps!
We gotta make a beat out of it 🙌👏
Dude totally. The thunk of that door and so much more
@@TeslaRaj I'm down to take a drive up there next week or the week after if you have a half day free 🙏
@@TeslaRaj lol underneath the battery trey has no real underbody steel plating first rock this thing hits they're gonna total the vehicle deem it too unsafe to drive.
Sub-trunk doesn't seem practical, should have mounted spare tire below.
Agree. Would have been cool to have a spare tire under the bed or somewhere.
Short of crawling in how do you reach objects in the back of the bed by what would normally be the cab? Reaching over the side doesn't seem possible.
You can't.
Does it have Steam? Cyberpunk fps?
would be nice if they have it so you can close the vault with your cell phone with the Tesla app and use it for sleeping on long trips if needed. Is there any way to get heat back there?
It is a bold design, generally when you think of a truck you don't picture a stainless steel commercial grade urinal, but here we are.
If it has a white interior why doesn't it have white seats?
This is the Johnny Cab from Total Recall
Dude, you could have some hot romance on that floor by the back seat. That is if you don't want to get it on in the bed of the truck under the tonneau cover.
Same story everywhere. How did nobody figure to take it offroading. Or load it and test the range.
Can wait till @tfl get their hands on one.
you "GOT the cybertruck" ? what a liar
Hi Raj just step out and pay attention to real truck driving around. I am sure you would see some really bigger wheels and tires." Biggest wheel I ever seen"
This is beautiful. But TBH a Cybervan would be so much more useful for camping etc. You could actually sleep IN your van rather than on the cold bed of your truck. Would be protected from the elements, have the internal heating system etc.
There are rumours of a Tesla Van being considered
This is so cool❤❤❤❤
@elonmuskceospaceX New Zealand 🇳🇿 🫶🏼
great content man
So no car camping if you aren’t an amputee
great overview on a really ugly truck.
Looks like a giant trash compactor.
You won't have to brave the elements when camping because you have the outlets that you can plug into for portable heating or cooling devices to put in with you 8n the back.
Good video, 1 correction, the 48 volt architecture has norhing to do with the 120V outlets. Those draw power directly from the battery through the Inverter.
Raj, gottta get all 3 dimensions, height of frunk and depth of subtrunk. How big of a fridge can I get lol
Making me anxious! I want my truck!
I want you to have your truck so I can live vicariously through you lol
Awesome review! Where’d you get that awesome jacket??? And that Tesla luggage…what is that???
I can finally cancel my apartment lease and live in a car. Pull up backseat for a bed and safely store personal items in the bed.
Cares about a review without a drive test
Bro didn't you see that GT3 in the back? Forget that cybertruck....let's see the Porsche
If they could only take the battery and drivetrain from the model 3 LR and stick it in a ridgeline…
It's more comfortable to leave the back bench down and sleep on that instead of on the floor
Hoping you would have seeing how many suitcases and/or golf bags you could put in the frunk
14:57 Peep the homie
This is the Yeezus of trucks.
