    So..I live in Jacksonville too and here is my story. My fiance's car was stolen from in front of our house(Murray Hill) the night of ncaa basketball finals. About two weeks later I got off work early to go mail my taxes off and the post office was crowded so I just said fuck it I'll go tomorrow. I got about a block from my house when I rounded a corner and came face to face with what I thought was my Fiancees stolen car. There were two black guys in the car and they turned down our street opposite direction of our house..I turned too to follow and sure enough, it was her car. There was a sticker we had on the corner of the backglass that was a company we tried to start several years ago. It felt like an episode of COPS to me. They were both hauling ass (40+) down the small streets. I was on the phone to JPO the whole time..I ended up losing them. We got the car back about 2 weeks after that.

    i did this three times with cellphones already. gathered their info with my security app. figured out where they live, got pictures of their faces, their phone numbers, their work places, their schedules, their names (which i got from their neighbors) and where they were at. went to the police with all that info (they were freaking impressed by the whole thing. it was funny) and then we went to their workplaces with a bunch of cops to make the arrest and recover the phones. they always try to sneak out when the police arrives. pretty much the exact same thing all three times. funny thing not one of them tried to get rid of the phone before the cops got to them. maybe it didn't even cross their mind that they were being tracked.

    Forget JSO. Take the vehicle back at gunpoint. I lived in Jax 34 years, left 27+ years ago. Mixed memories. Father was murdered within 3 months of arrival in 1962 from Kansas City with a job offer. I was attacked by an unknown newcomer to the neighborhood (as we were) with a knife and sent to the ER a few weeks before my dad's untimely death (I was 5 yo). JSO Officer advised us to leave Jax ASAP in 1996. We rented a UHaul truck and were gone within 24 hours.

      That is why prison should be regulated, controlled, and ruled 100% by the guards and 0% by the inmates. There should be a strictly enforced no gangs policy. No communication between the inside and the outside should be maintained to prevent criminals from running retribution and enterprise rackets from the inside. Any violations should result in isolation with zero outside communication allowed, even with attorneys. Any visitor, including an attorney, caught aiding communication between inmates and outside criminals or suspects, should be punished with a minimum ten year sentence without parole sentence. There must be an education system in prison to enable gainful employment upon release. That education should never include locksmithing or any other security intensive profession. Above all, prisoners must be taught that it is society which makes and enforces rules, not them. Those who will not or cannot reeducate themselves must be declared and proven insane so that they can be locked up forever. There is no reason to allow a violent psychopath to regain their freedom.

      They sort of do now, actually. All the WiFi and Bluetooth stuff, each car has it's own ID, and is constantly 'networking' to everything nearby. That leaves digital tracks. And let's face it, the smartphones we all carry around are GPS trackers.

    About 20 yrs ago my dad's Camry was stolen by some white lady that lives about 2 blocks from our house. The car was reported stolen for about a week. Then the woman brought the car back and parked it on the street close to a neighbor's house. My parents saw and called the cops. Cops came over and went and talked to the woman. After that they just walked off never made any arrest or give my parents any reasons.

      Thats become so normal now its insane that people are getting away with hit and run accidents and many other crimes because police dont bother stopping any and all cars without plates to investigate but have time to call for backup on a jaywalking ticket.

    Yeah. The buy here and pay her dealer has me and my friend doing repos cars for them. They had installed gps if they didn't pay the payment they gave us the list of places they has been. Most of time occurs at homes. Few at stores or workplaces. We don't use wrecker truck and use private cars so they don't notice it's repoing. Usually we carry the paperwork to show police we aren't stealing.

      RebelBama What happens if they remove the gps tracker and move out of state?

    • @RebelBama
      @RebelBama 7 років тому +1

      BaldEaglePiss .... I doubted that, because many people don't know about it. They installed gps under the dashboard, the gps is wired to fuse box, they wouldn't noticed it. Whenever it's paid for, the dealers turned the gps off by the pin #.
