Thank you, I appreciate that. I do that too to avoid a ridiculous bottleneck. Furthermore, I just don't understand drivers that want to drive alongside trucks. If you get a blowout, your truck could slide over my car and I could be in trouble. I always calculate before approaching a truck when I'm in the left lane. If a truck is going my approximate speed and I'm only going a few miles faster per hour, I'll back off and go behind or increase my permanent speed a few more mph. If I'm in a long line of cars that may not overtake the truck quickly, ill hang back, let the cars slowly overtake the truck - then as the last car gets up to the cab, ill go faster and overtake the truck. All this happening in the left lane unless i have a tailgater. Ucheva A more observant driver would have been aware of what was going on next to him and slowed down to let the Comaro gap in and overtake. There is this obsession on the roads with trying to prove a point to fast drivers. Sometimes it's best to be the bigger man and let fast drivers be. The truck accelerating to cut off the car and the semi not slowing down are both cases of drivers putting their own lives in danger just to prove a point.
TheRealist semi is not at fault he in fact slows down so there's a gap but the truck see gap and slows down as well. Camero is ultimately at fault yet trucker could've let camero pass
ThaPioneer. I agree. The truck in the passing lane should have increased speed enough to pass that tractor trailer and get back into the right lane as it was obvious the Camaro was dying to pass. I feel the pick up driver was purposely holding up the fast lane.

If someone runs me off the road trying to cut me off and then rides my bumper I'm not moving for them either. I wouldn't expect anyone to. If you treat other drivers on the road like shit then expect to get treated like shit back.

One more thing I do have to say is that the semi can get part of the blame for this accident for not trying to move a bit outta the way or trying to speed up, if I'd were in his shoes I'd try to slow down and keep my distance from those two morons.
Considering the Brake lights on the Big Truck trailer and the dividing line speed indicates the right hand truck slowed several times to allow the traffic to move along and the shadow of a Car in front of the pickup moved on down the highway as it wasn't to be seen during the accident the Left Hand Lane hog was matching the speed of the big truck to instigate a reaction. Not to excuse the camero driver for aggressive driving yet there would not have been an accident if the left lane was clear for faster traffic passing as the Law is written. It's a very bad decision to linger beside a big truck as many different types of accident can and do happen and the smaller vehicle usually looses the battle. Just Saying.

Btw i'm actually so glad the Camaro fucked up that truck driver too because he did DESERVE it.. stop holding hands with a semi and pass the semi and get in the right lane.. simple accident could have been avoided by not antagonizing an aggressive driver. you are not a dictator of how fast people should be going. just cause you want to go slow doesn't mean you have the right to hold people hostage in the left lane. If the Camaro driver wants a ticket then let him past you.

Further, if the antagonizing person were to slow up also to continue boxing the guy, I would go on the shoulder if need be. And if the two kept at it, I would simply stop on the shoulder and let them move on. The greater distance between me and their dangerous circus, the better
TOTALLY........... trucker was in the best position to see exactly what was going on for a long time. if he was a bit brighter, he could have backed off to pre-empt this dangerous situation
I like how y’all blame the trucker, when really nothing would of happened if the camero driver wasn’t being an asshole that’s obviously not how you move up in traffic, yes the truck should of sped up to past the trucker, but technically you can’t speed by law to make a pass so blame falls back on the camero
I'm a CDL driver and former trainer. Zero innocents in this situation. A) The camaro driver is blatantly at fault. B) The pickup driver made it worse by reacting aggressively instead of defensively (slowing down) in the first interaction, and then escalating it by blocking. You're not a teacher and the highway is not your classroom. C) The camera car was too close and extremely lucky. D) The tractor trailer driver (the only "professional" in the room) should have deescalated the situation by slowing down. Even if the exact same crash still happened, it is more likely to be survivable for all involved at a lower speed.

His intention was to startle the truck driver into slowing down. Didn't work as planned.
He had some room to pass him from the shoulder but he decided to go on the grass and lose control lol

Well why wouldnt he ? Nothing really happened, and he was in no danger so why should he care?
Comes with age… you just stop giving a fuck!!
I'm amazed he didn't make a sound during the build up to the crash.
He should’ve expected it given that this was the obvious end result as soon as the Camaro whipped in. What is surprising is that he stayed so close.
Because it not happened with him.
I think everybody learned a lesson that day
I love how this incorporates my two “favorite” kind of drivers. The “I’m gonna drive slow in the passing lane” and the “lead, follow or get the f*** out of my way!”
Pretty sure the guy started driving slow to piss of the Camaro that tried to merge right into him lol
@Ra Mo He's the kind that causes accidents.
The "passing lane" isn't in any driving regulations book. There is a speed limit set on the roads for a reason. To be obeyed.
@@jackwhite6537 Keep right except to pass is one of them and also indicates that it is in fact a passing lane. It only refers to highways though, if that's what you meant.

No one hurt in this accident. Driver of Camaro named Kiran Thapa. He blew a .26 meaning 3 times legal limit. Charged with DUI and driving under a suspended license for 4 previous DUI convictions. Sentenced to 1 to 3 years on prison, was paroled, violated his parole and served out the remainder of his term. Released September 2018. Arrested again in April 2019 for driving erratically, this time blowing a .32 or four times the legal limit only 7 months after his release from prison.
What a fucking idiot. Hope they revoked his license for good.

That poor semi driver was just minding his business!
Trailer driver should of slowed down, fast lane driver should of sped up
ThaPioneer. I agree. The truck in the passing lane should have increased speed enough to pass that tractor trailer and get back into the right lane as it was obvious the Camaro was dying to pass. I feel the pick up driver was purposely holding up the fast lane.
Seriously? I'm sure he would have had the camaro not cut him off and almost hit his truck and run him off the road....AND then stayed on his bumper the entire time...I wouldn't move over for that piece of shit driver either..the only vehicle in the wrong here was the camaro and they need their license pulled for the rest of their damn lives..They were driving like pure shit the entire time, it was only a matter of time before they caused an accident. If someone runs me off the road trying to cut me off and then rides my bumper I'm not moving for them either. I wouldn't expect anyone to. If you treat other drivers on the road like shit then expect to get treated like shit back.

why was the camaro driver ugly? dude wanted to pass and a shitty pickup driver was holding him hostage by not passing the semi.. thats basically the whole point of the left lane.. to fucking pass.
@@idrizzyt7524 I understand that the camero driver wanted to pass that shitty pickup driver but I think he could've handled it better then he did, if he had some actual patience he wouldn't have gotten himself in a mess like that, hell I get so impatient at times to the point I just wanna run the dumbass off the road but I dont because I realize it's a stupid fucking thing to do, its better to wait this out instead of potentially killing yourself and others all for the sake of getting to your destination faster.
One more thing I do have to say is that the semi can get part of the blame for this accident for not trying to move a bit outta the way or trying to speed up, if I'd were in his shoes I'd try to slow down and keep my distance from those two morons.
@@idrizzyt7524 the Camaro driver was 100% at fault for this. That's why he was ugly.
@@RiverRat85 finally someone with a brain.. basically you're right. Camaro was at fault for being aggressive but there's only so long you can't wait till being pushed to the edge by a douche bag who doesn't understand that the left lane is a passing lane. An imagine if that truck driver was holding everyone hostage for 5+ miles on a 2 lane highway. i would go on the shoulder too to get around them. Your #1 job is to get yourself, your passenger(s) and your vehicle to the destination all in 1 piece, not to beat your last best time by 20 seconds.
If I did that every time I got road rage I'd never be on time anywhere.
I have a feeling the guy in the van was trying to antagonize him. If I were the trucker I would have slowed to open a spot for him to go through. It's far too dangerous to have someone like that behind or beside you. Just safely get rid of them asap. It's not a matter of not letting yourself be bullied. It's a matter of staying alive
yea it's also the trucker fault, im sure he was seeing everything in the mirror and was rooting for the van to keep boxing in that car. some truck companies if they saw that video would fired that truck driver for preventable accident.
@@rgygduysdgyuygsduysd I've had a few similar situations where a car beside me in the passing lane is boxing in someone behind and using me as part of their stupid barricade. I always slow to open a gap. #1, I won't be used like that for antagonistic games, and #2 it's too dangerous. Anger and cars and trucks don't mix well
Further, if the antagonizing person were to slow up also to continue boxing the guy, I would go on the shoulder if need be.
