Paul Winter has touched my life more than once in my lifetime, not the least of which seeing him live in Arkansas City while my good friend Gary Gackstatter was band director at the community college there. I needed to be reminded that I'm glad "I'm not dead". Sad as that is to admit, its just another example of Paul W. coming through for me when I needed a spirit lift.
I cry..i listened to this during my "exile" from Colorado....now i'm home and can go visit the San Luis valley and the Sangre de Cristos !! I visited the Monte Vista wildlife refuge late summer 2020 and listened to this....words can't describe the moment . Tears in my eyes....it's 2 years later and Colorado doesn't feel like home anymore...this is not the place to list the reasons but it has changed since I arrived in 1983...no to Douglas County using the valley's aquifer!!!
Awesome. First time I heard a translation of a Native song. Wish I could see the words in writing so I could sing them with this beautiful song. Thank you, brothers.
Beautiful. Thank you, Jim Pepper for this wonderful life-affirming song!
WBCN played the Jim Pepper cut around Thanksgiving for a while back in the day. It’s a beautiful piece .

A beautiful cover of Jim Pepper’s Witchi Tai To. I loved it when I was young, more so now.
My goodness. I've travelled the world. You're the one who inspired me. Much love.
Looks like the San Luis Valley, the largest alpine valley in the world. A lovely place for this lovely music.
Infinita belleza, paz y armonía. Gracias.
