It looks pretty, but it looks like it’s running pretty rough
I tried my best to optimize the performance, but even getting it to run like this required me to play it on 1080 windowed on medium graphics. The lowest made the game look very ugly. I might just be bad at PC game optimization, though. - Azario

Thanks for covering this. I hope they go all in like Genshin Impact has. While I’m not fond of the idea of potential microtransactions, I like the gameplay and aesthetic/ theming enough that I think this could be something amazing if they go all in.

So is this game intended as a gacha? I can't tell if it's a full fledged game or a free to play gacha. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if they have some microtransactions but will there be a premium currency and gacha pulls and the like?
There are premium things, but I could earn a lot of them in game. I think the content will be similar to Genshin where you can technically get pretty far on gameplay alone but premium things eliminate grind. There was a gacha machine but it was just for items. I don’t know this game is bigger than I thought. - Azario
I know two of the other games (Love Nikki and Shining Nikki) are gacha dress up games. And a majority of the items in the game are accessible to everyone. So paying is optional but it doesn't affect your game play. I think I'd say save the diamonds they give you and use them for events, though diamonds aren't too difficult to obtain without paying either through completing tasks or story lines or even for holidays (they do tend to gift a generous amount of diamonds. I think 500)
Oh and in Shining Nikki if you log in during the event they will gift you stuff daily so you can do a 10 pull for that event at least once (w/ 5 more tickets left to spare). And in one of the shops there's an item that gives you 5 more pulls. It costs 480 diamonds (if I remember) but you can use that discount twice, and it resets for each event!
And sorry too cause I feel like I'm all over the place but I've been a fan of Love Nikki and Shining Nikki for years to the point that I used to login and play almost everyday (I only stopped cause I need more storage for my device T^T)

I don't have anything against colorful game (I play kirby games) but this one is clearly loaded with gacha so that's an automatic pass for me
Idk if they'll do it for this game but in Shining Nikki if you login throughout an event they will gift you enough currency to do a 10x pull with 5x pulls to spare. There's also a shop that'll give you 5x pulls (I think 480 diamonds) for a discount and you can buy it twice per event. I think the diamonds are pretty accessible I've been playing for years and I never spent money on it.

I couldn't understand the excitement over the announcement trailers. It's just a pretty girl running in a generic pretty environment with nice music. There was no gameplay or story shown, just moving around. What's there to be excited about? What do people think they're going to get?
I'm so sad how the world just doesn't look as vibrants as the mc or splash art.
This video does a poor job of showing off the world imo. I recommend looking at some other videos of the game.
