Yep! I recorded all the Whose Lines back in the VCR days and watched and rewatched my favorite Wayne moments. Always so fun and versatile. Wasn't hard at all to spot him as Fox. He sounds great here. Very happy for him and love how funny and humble he remains.
At first I was like "Nah you can't replace Leslie" but after hearing that voice I'm like "Yeah I can see it". Now I wanna watch Hamilton with Wayne as Burr
I have been waiting to hear him sing this ever since finding out he got to play Burr. I’m excited for him to slay dancing with the stars too. He is such a humble and hard working performer. I look forward to hearing all the great things that are yet to come too!
Hearing a pretty wonderful version like this makes me even more amazed at Leslie’s flawless delivery. Credit to Wayne but the ultimate Burr was the original!
I had a similar thought. It feels like watching the Olympics and seeing a silver and gold medalist go at it. Wayne is fantastic, but Leslie is flawless.
I attribute Leslie Odom's performance of that song as one who has does it thousands of times, compared to Wayne who has probably not done it that many. However, Wayne Brady gave a phenomenal performance of it
…. AND NOOOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… for your viewing entertainment… we present, THE GREATEST CAMERA OPERATOR IN THE WORLD!!! This is what happens when you give us Theater geeks a camera. .. great performance though.
This was with my phone, too! Unfortunately the lens switched at the very end and I couldn’t get it to go back, but I am so impressed with how clear it turned out!
I've been waiting to hear this since I heard he was Burr in Chicago and it was everything I expected. Leslie is amazing but Wayne is an amazingly close second. I love him.
Damn I didn’t even know Wayne Brady could sing. I kinda feel bad he messed up the lyrics that must’ve been a scary moment for him but he did amazing. Deff did it justice and I’d like to hear him perform it again
To be honest even tho he messed up the lyrics I could have made that mistake, the lyrics sound so close together and he did the role in 2017 so it make sense.
He is extremely musically gifted and honestly, his WLIIA stuff is legendary. Not only is he singing well, he's making the songs up on the fly AND he sings in a variety of styles while also even mimicking other singers AND staying in character.
Wayne Brady is absolutely amazing and he was absolutely made for this role as much as Leslie Odom Jr. is. Having said that, did he really mess those lyrics up? 😂 No hating, just surprised to hear a slip like that. It was supposed to be “Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb, he has something to prove…” But he said the second part, “Hamilton’s pace is relentless he wastes no time” twice instead. I know I can’t be the only person who noticed this 😂
Just one of the many hazards of stage performance! He really did nail it, managed to cover up the lyric flub so barely anyone noticed. That is true talent!
I think we deserve a alternate version of Hamilton by NOOOO MEANS DISRESPECT TO LESLIE I REPEAT LESLIE IS LEGENDARY FOR BURR… but Wayne … Wayne f*cking Brady I keep imagining it and I can’t find ANY wrong .. Damn you Chicago company!!! Ugh
Ehh that was good except for the only thing that he did throughout most of the video was talk I think that he should've done less talking more singing.
Wayne Brady is a guy who is lesser known by the public but is immensly respected by others in the business. He's privately famous.
Wayne really deserves to be a bigger star than he is. He just hasn't gotten the right break.
He's a pretty big performer
He's willing to wait for it.
i think he has just the right amount of fame so he can have a family and everything
I think he’s the amount of famous I’d like to be 😆 he’s well known and makes good money but isn’t harassed by paparazzi constantly
People who didn't know Wayne Brady could sing😲.... me growing up watching him on whose line is it anyways 😍
That's how I immediately knew he was the Fox on Masked Singer. Lol
@@KatSpectra Same. Recognized his voice right away in the first song

Same! That show was my favorite as a teenager!
And he on the current season of dancing with the stars and he got dance to this song on Disney Plus Night
At first I was like "Nah you can't replace Leslie" but after hearing that voice I'm like "Yeah I can see it". Now I wanna watch Hamilton with Wayne as Burr
He was Burr here in Chicago. We were lucky to witness it!! He was amazing!!
I too saw him in Chicago, Did an Awesome Job
We saw him in Chicago as well. He sounded amazing!
Leslie is still 100% better tho like, he's the og
I’ve seen Hamilton live 3 times (never with Leslie) and Wayne was my favorite Burr I’ve seen by far.
I have been waiting to hear him sing this ever since finding out he got to play Burr. I’m excited for him to slay dancing with the stars too. He is such a humble and hard working performer. I look forward to hearing all the great things that are yet to come too!
He’s going to absolutely SMOKE the other stars bc of his dance training ❤ I adore him
Oh hes on DWTS? He's definitely gonna win
HE WAS BURR??
Got to see him as Burr in Chicago. He was excellent.
Wayne Brady so talented person, great comedian, very funny but so underrated. My favorite comedian from WLIIA.
Between his freestyling, singing, improv, performing, and overall goodness of this man he remains one of my favorite male figures of all time 🤩
Awesome performance! FYI: If you guys want to skip straight to his wonderful singing, it starts around 4:05 in.
Thank you 😊
Wayne is super-talented! I don't think there is anything he couldn't do! And do it great!
When Chris shouted at him to drink the water 💀 rolling .
I agree. I love Wayne Brady and he’s in a league of this own talent-wise, but Leslie is the ultimate Burr to me.
I thought the same with Leslie but then I saw Jin Ha as Burr and I changed my mind quickly. Wish he was still playing him!
I attribute Leslie Odom's performance of that song as one who has does it thousands of times, compared to Wayne who has probably not done it that many. However, Wayne Brady gave a phenomenal performance of it
@@vanessalowder2712 Wayne Brady was cast as burr in the Chicago run. So probably not as many as Leslie but still hundreds of performances in the role.
It's a good thing Wayne was willing to wait for it
I need a full Hamilton album with him
Wow his tone is stunning🥺🥲love seeing different interpretations of beloved characters 🤩
Right when I read the title I could hear it in my head and knew it would be perfection. He never disappoints, I’m so glad this popped up for me!
…. AND NOOOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… for your viewing entertainment… we present, THE GREATEST CAMERA OPERATOR IN THE WORLD!!! This is what happens when you give us Theater geeks a camera. .. great performance though.

when the chorus started i got LITERAL goosebumps
I've been waiting to hear this since I heard he was Burr in Chicago and it was everything I expected. Leslie is amazing but Wayne is an amazingly close second. I love him.
So many people have played Burr by now.
So freaking underrated man
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Love the intensity while singing! Would have loved to be a fly on the wall at his auditions.
Would have loved to see him portray this role live.
Oh wow. He was fantastic!
As incredible as he is... to watch him get blown away by Marc Rebillet as a guest on his free jam was cool.
They are hilarious together
i laughed and i cried
i'm in awe
wow
✨️💕✨️💕✨️
Been waiting forever for his version. This is my favorite song from Hamilton!
Nice Wayne!! Love it. Thank you for sharing your God given talents with us.
Would have been amazing to see him as Burr, he seems to perfectly suited!
Ive been dreaming to hear this
I love chris
4:10 he starts singing
He did well
Ooh that was good. He’s so talented
And I've got chills.
That’s so cool!
very talented whoever he is.
An absolutely prince of a man! The coolest guy ever
Gorgeous. This is my favorite rendition I’ve heard so far.
Literal chills
hes such a cool guy i just 😭
Rad. ❤
Great!...(wish that suit was😥)
Wayne was willing to wait for it.
So good!
He messed up the lyric. He missed …”Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb”
I've only heard him sing on Whose Line
Damn I didn’t even know Wayne Brady could sing. I kinda feel bad he messed up the lyrics that must’ve been a scary moment for him but he did amazing. Deff did it justice and I’d like to hear him perform it again

Can I reccomend his singing compilations of his time on whose line is it anyway?
He won The Masked Singer last year too.
He is extremely musically gifted and honestly, his WLIIA stuff is legendary. Not only is he singing well, he's making the songs up on the fly AND he sings in a variety of styles while also even mimicking other singers AND staying in character.
He handled it so well I didn't notice the first time I watched it. If you didn't know all the words you totally wouldn't have known
Holy shit, he absolutely KILLED that! What a worthy successor to Leslie Odom!
He would have done so well!
Wayne Brady said, "Dammit." 1M likes.
The only man that's allowed to replace Leslie Odom imho
4:13
Thank you.
Song starts 4:10

Amazing voice. Great version of it. Balance with the band all wrong (although that might be the recording - thanks for doing it!)
Sooooooooooo anyone have a slime tutorial from Chicago? lol
Wayne Brady is absolutely amazing and he was absolutely made for this role as much as Leslie Odom Jr. is.

No, he did meet them up. I noticed it too. But dang, I didn't know Wayne could sing.
MESS them up.
Needs to hang on the vowels longer 😊
I think we deserve a alternate version of Hamilton by NOOOO MEANS DISRESPECT TO LESLIE I REPEAT LESLIE IS LEGENDARY FOR BURR… but Wayne … Wayne f*cking Brady I keep imagining it and I can’t find ANY wrong .. Damn you Chicago company!!! Ugh
The algorithm is baiting me...
I think he is missing part of his pants 😂
Ehh that was good except for the only thing that he did throughout most of the video was talk I think that he should've done less talking more singing.
He’s so brilliant but I can’t get past the high water pants. Is that a look now? God I’m gay. Help me get past the clamdiggers!
