Finally moved on after a day of getting all 20+ missions currently with 5-stars... at least Vanille got her climaxing summon!

Lightning: Overall powerful
Sazh: Can attack ranged and is well rounded too
Snow: Tank
Hope: Magic god
Vanille: Mainly healer and debuffer
Fang: God of strength
I’m not in the mood to bring in Eidolon’s lol
Fang is just generally overall the best character she just can’t medic
Of all the characters, I had more hope in Vanille’s Eidolon appearance. Her’s is the last one to get in the game but it almost appeared randomly. The few lines of dialogue between her and Fang could have been more emotionally packed, but it seemed too short and conversational. I mean compare this moment to Sazh’s and Hope’s Eidolon battle. Vanille is the philosophical voice of this game, but I felt like this battle came up short.
What I learnt from this: my Vanille and Fang are REALLY underleveled

She's 19. That's not under-aged, she's just child-like. lol
Out of everybody in the group, Vanille has been through the most trauma. She had an influence in everyone’s fate including Serah’s in the 13 days leading up to The Purge, and Dajh at Euride Gorge.
Vanille is pacifistic in nature and is still naive. Age doesn’t define maturity, I mean look at Hope, he wanted to kill snow. Or Snow’s impulsive, reckless, and foolish behavior.
Physically speaking Vanille is 19 years old. But chronologically, her crystal stasis sleep puts her at roughly 619 years old. Vanille was a part of The War of Transgression which we can assume lasted a couple years before her physical age of 19. Yeah this girls has been through a lot and I feel like that child-like behavior is just a facade.
Vanille is 519 years old, she was in the crystal stasis for 500 years prior to this game
it's amazing what a bit of haste can do...
I have repeatedly struggled to take this one down, so thanks for the Video Expo that helps me a lot in figuring things out!
Vanille isn't 19. She and Fang are chronologically the oldest members in the group. They're 619 and 621 years old respectively.

Am I the only one who thinks Hecatoncheir crosses his hands like : Yeah, I'm a badass?
If you ever took the time to get items, you should have a couple Silver Bangles and a Gold Bangle. Put the Gold Bangle on Vanille for a +250 health bonus. Not to mention Mah'habara is a decent place to level. You could go for some HP ups in both their crystariums.
You might want more health than that

I HATED facing this Eidolon. It was a nightmare that took 4 hours of hell to beat.

Vanille and Fang and walking along, and Vanille identifies the local flora as part of Oerba, meaning they're close. And suddenly out of the blue, Fang reveals a MAJOR piece of plot development.....
EQUALLY out of blue is this summon fight!!
The thing that freaks me out: All. Those. ARMS........o_o

Uh.......is that some kinda cross between a wolf, an ultraraptor, and a Gatling gun turret? O_o Anyway, five stars!

Vanille is my fav character... she deserved a better looking eidolon..... carbuncle would have matched her propperly

In this battle I have to play as Vanille with Fang fighting her eidolon. I love using Vanille being as the leader

Hell ya i just beat this thing using fang and vanille of course when they both had 2400-2500 hp. Its all about stratagy
my characters have about 2300 hp each i geuss i should of spent more time doing missios but right now i dont have the patience to go back if i continue the storyline will i end up going there again? maybe this time with a chocobo

@tapion567 It took me FOREVER but just follow the same strategy as this video and switch often because that really helps.
@MasterLL HOW THE SHIT DID YOU HAVE 4K HEALTH BY THE TIME YOU WERE HERE?! WTF I HAD LIKE 1000 AND MY CRYSTARIUM WASNT AT LEVEL 3 O_O
@DontHateOnMeFam This is my first time playing and i have higher health than him/her i just lvled up on Amphisbaenas and goblins XD they r both weak to lighting and give lots of points

Bladed Lance level 2
Black belt level 1
Black belt level 1
WITHOUT FORTISOL!
@LeonardT1000 This fight is a lot easier if you level up Fangs sent role and get her a lot of health so she can take all the damage.

Vanille’s Eidolon fight is the last one to get and they didn’t even make the scene for it emotional. In fact the placement of the fight is almost random bc as they’re walking the cutscene just triggers. I didn’t even have time to save and hade to reload back to another save file that was in a couple areas before. Even though there was a save point just before this fight, there was no indication I’d be fighting Vanille’s Eidolon and I lost many times.
Anyways, all the other characters had an emotional entrance to their Eidolon fight meanwhile Vanille was plain and boring. Vanille is the voice of reason in the group sometimes and she even has some of the best dialogues in the entire trilogy, she is child-like but actually has so much wisdom. That child-like behavior is actually a facade for all the pain and endurance she had to go through during the War of Transgression. She is the one who pushes you when the going gets tough and I really wanted more from this fight.
I thought the Destination mark was there, though... I could be wrong, I haven't reached Mah'habara yet on this new playthrough so I don't remember😅
I agree, they could've done a lot more with this cutscene... It's just _there_ while the others are *there.*

i hated it that you get your summons so late in the game. and tp points takes really long to recharge.

@quito2lava Without the dash shoes, you'd need a synergist. He/she casts it at the beginning of battle if they know it. If you want the item, read through Master LL's description on how to get them. Hope I helped :)

Edit: Never mind, I finally was able to beat it after many many many attempts

Hey, I did this first try with 2700 hp on vanille and fang. Just did mostly the same things on this video. The timer went down to below 100 tough^^.
