Thanks for the review. From the sample video you show, the image quality looks like just 480p scaled up. If you look closely the image is made up a very large blocks and resolution is very low. Assuming you have it set for max quality and resolution. So perhaps it's a 1080p sensor, but is maybe pixel summing to reduce data transmission, or maybe it's 1080p across the full sensor but that gets used to image the whole 180' field of view, so when you look at it zoomed in to a normal angle of view, it's only 480?, which is only 1/8th of the raw sensor resolution. You would expect it to look at least as good as 720p if it uses 1/4 of the sensor size for a more normal angle of view. Every sample I've seen so far looks like a much lower resolution than specified. Color, contrast and dynamic range, especially in low light does not look very good either. I'm still considering adding one or two of these as gramma cams as they fit well with my new ecobee thermostats and app and I might delve into Apple Home Kit sometime. More surprising that it doesn't work with Siri considering its thermostats can now be linked to either Alexa or Siri. Based on what it is capable of doing, it should be priced more like $45. It also cannot be mounted upside-down which is necessary for most window installations. The security plan is also a poorly thought-out money grab. Nothing that it does should require a subscription since in order to use HKSV you are already paying a monthly fee to Apple who is actually storing the footage.
