It snows in Turkey every year. We have ski resorts too, and some villages are cut off from other cities for months due to heavy snow every year. Especially in eastern Turkey it can go down to -30 celcius degrees. Turkey has much higher elevation compared to Europe.

@@AshandKels snow is very common in Turkey. Due to high elevation of many cities in turkey it snows a lot in winter. Most tourist imagine of Antalya or Bodrum ( or other coastal mediterenian cities )when thinking about Turkey. Istanbul gets around 7-10 days of snow every year. In eastern turkey most cities are covered in snow for entire winter. Don’t forget Turkey have lots of mountains

Tell me about the bus ride!!! I used to travel by bus when I was in TR and it was not bad at all.
Couple of years ago I was in London and had to travel to Eden project in Cornwall for a seminar. Instead of hiring a car I decided to travel by bus, although couple of my friends warned me about the National Express buses but I thought it wouldn't be worst than Turkish buses so i took the plunge and got on the National express from Victoria bus station to St Austell in Cornwall.
Since then every time I think about the journey literately my bottom hurts. Think about 9 hours sitting on a continuously vibrating very hard plastic seat. Worst journey ever...
By the way I immensely enjoy watching your channel.

The public transport in the UK is probably the worst we've seen in any country! Turkish public transport was spot on from the long distance buses to the little dolmus! Thank you for watching! Is there anywhere you'd like to see us travel to this year? 😄

Knowing you're going to be flying from Istanbul in these days, I was worried that you've booked your flight on the European side airport because there has been some problems going on there during the snow storm as it hit that north european Black Sea coast of Istanbul really badly. Glad you didn't need to dive into that chaos.
It's also sad to see our lovely guests to go but I understand there are many beautiful places in the world to see. I hope you've enjoyed your time here and hope to welcome you back asap :)

@@AshandKels Not particularly, except expecting you back in Turkey but I don't know if it's gonna be this year :) You should go where you'd like to see most. That would make better videos in general because you'll be more motivated. I'm glad to see any place through your eyes. I might suggest you invest in a drone when you can though, it helps especially when you go to big natural parks, etc :)

That all turned out well. You got a great deal with the hotel, and Sabiha Gökçen (she was Turkey's first female pilot) Airport is so much more convenient than Istanbul Airport on the European side which is miles out. Did you fly with Pegasus to Germany? A reliable low cost Turkish airline, just make sure you take your own snacks with you.

@@AshandKels You might enjoy Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania. I haven't yet visited any of those countries but I've been getting inspiration from travel vlogs.... and those countries are all budget-friendly which makes them worth considering. Albania in particular has surprised visitors with the friendliness of the people and standard of food. So unlike the image many of us have of the country.

@@AshandKels One couple I follow here on UA-cam, Matt and Julia, rented a car in Skopje, North Macedonia, which they were able to take across borders, and made getting around so much easier. I seem to recall they drove as far as Ukraine, and then all the way back to Skopje. They must have got a very good deal since they had the car for about two months.
