Sadly they are worst mankind's invention when used by sadistic, unqualified and insensitive mechanics (or wannabe mechanics) ! Last month I took my wife's 2010 Yaris to Costco for a first tire rotation and balancing after one year and 12000 Km (7500 Miles),on new Michelins. I was watching them working on our car from outside. To me it sounded brutal how those young f.....s are playing with impact gun. After using impact gun, they went around car and used that plasticky Husky torque wrench from Home Depot. Yes it clicked on every lug nut. It would click just as same if lug nuts are overtightened 2X or 3X over factory specified torque of 76 ft-lbf. Sure enough when I came home I was pulling my hair. Every lug nut was rounded and not equally torqued. I used electronic torque wrench to check it. For more than eight years I would torque lug nuts in three stages (30% each time of specified torque),and I would do it in star pattern. I'm just observing people on UA-cam doing everything with impact gun. One guy was even installing spark plugs with impact gun! What a f. is wrong with people? I wouldn't let him built dog house. What happened to quality torque wrench,6 point socket and anti seize lubricant? What is happening with common sense and pride in our work?
Shoutout to David from RoadBashTV (you've probably seen him on MotionAutoTv as well) for the help with putting the subframe back in the car! His channel: ua-cam.com/users/nism0silvia MotionAutoTv: ua-cam.com/users/MotionAutoTv
Would the Energy Suspension kit # 73115 work so you don't need that whole bushing kit? www.oreillyauto.com/detail/energy-suspension-3524/suspension---steering-16778/chassis-16549/control-arm---components-16760/control-arm-bushing-12633/control-arm-bushing-set/73115r/4295124/1993/nissan/240sx
I don't even have a 240, I just find your videos super interesting and well put together! Great job my dude. I've been subbed since like the second episode of le drift car 1
Johannes Konow best part about doing it that way to is that when the both return to room temperature they will actually be in tighter than if you forced it.
I know... If you want a straight good fit of any cylindrical thing into a recess of some kind, you can actually machine the OD bigger than the ID of the piece it is going into by a small amount (depending on size ofc) and actually get it to sit stronger than if you welded it if you use heat and cold. Cool the OD piece with dry ice, heat the ID piece with propane or similar and it will be there permanently.
Thanks you very much for this vid. I'm not always confident to work on my car, especially pressing bushings and stuff (scared of fucking up things) but I will now replace all my rear bushings on my S13. Love your video man it very inspires me. Thumbs up!
Honestly, the subframe parts I have painted when i'm under there in the future its always nice to see that I took the extra time and made it look good not to mention they come cleaner easier with good paint. In my book on my project cars its worth it, maybe not on a daily driver.
I cant wait to get a 240sx!! everything that needs to be done you have covered and seriously thank you for that cuz I love cars but I'm no mechanic even tho I'm going to be studying to be one at mech tech in Orlando but until then your youtube videos is what is making me get a 240sx now. so thanks man! your a huge help!
So you didn’t bend anything for the ebrake bracket? I was told I needed to bend it but didn’t make sense when I was under the car so just installed it without bending anything
With those LCA bushings, I found the quickest way to get them out was to blowtorch the outside (aka the control arm) for 10 seconds and the arm housing expands enough to press them out easy as without burning anything
Also wow at not having oem cuts in the subframe bushing sleeves! Mk3 supra ones have a two piece sleeve that is super easy to just pop out with a solid hit from a hammer
I was kinda nervous about attempting this but after watching this vid it doesn't look so bad! Thanks for the awesome vid Definitely gonna help me alot ! :D
Yooo im a s13 owner and you push out some really great helpful content, i watch your vids, good job on the circle jerk challenge.one day ill be in that circle of jerks. Cheers from NYC
This is a great video, I was looking for a video on a BRZ but none are very informative, I found this format great and will be using a similar format for the video I will be making for my car. Great job!!!
I like how you point out the small things that normally goes unnoticed but not everybody knows. I do have to say tho; glasses, earmuffs, gloves, but you’re in slides? Careful dude lol
Ay offbeat, ur a beast my friend. I got my 240 back in January. and ur videos have been priceless and always giving me ideas. I'm bouta buy some shit off your site bruh, good luck with ur business
You could remove the brake calipers from the rear uprights before lowering the subframe. It'll save you the extra step of bleeding the brake system. Just don't let the calipers hang by the brake lines. Tie them to the chassis.
If you have access to a air chisel and can get the blade between the subframe bushing top flange and the subframe, they come right out in like 10 seconds with a few hits from the air chisel. Way easier and quicker than burning ans cutting.
Nice video. Just an FYI- no need to burn out old sub frame bushings. I used a small chisel and hammer and they came out in 2-3 min each.. no fire required.
Dude i love this stuff. You gotta make more content on stuff like this. Very informative. Btw I was hoping maybe you'll buy another vehicle to modify? :D
How does the car ride with your Offbeat bushings on the street? Mine is also a street car and geting some wheel hop. Hoping to do this exact project, but it is driven on the street.
Are you at all concerned with the solid mounted subframe? Will it not add excessive wear? You could probably get rid of the wheel hop using milder methods lol.
It is finally good to see young guys good at working on their cars, not just adding stickers and non performance items . Outstanding job guys .
The cordless impact gun might possibly be mankind's single greatest invention.
i agree. i have two of them lol
whatyareckon of fiesta

I have the Ryobi too. Might invest in getting a bigger battery. It is awesome.
@@volimzbjeg seems like this is a thing everywhere around the world

OffBeat Garage lol I seen him and I said to myself "that sure looks alot like David from MATV, no it couldn't be he lives in Colorado" lol
OffBeat Garage can't wait to chill at SEMA ✌️✌️

this video was so satisfying for some reason
This vid is satisfying and i know exactly why
Mantis Toboggan now that's flavor !
Mantis Toboggan yea bro why?
AX53
Mantis Toboggan yeah it was
Finally someone doing what they said instead of doing burnout or going to get ice cream. Thanks
I don't even have a 240, I just find your videos super interesting and well put together! Great job my dude. I've been subbed since like the second episode of le drift car 1
i thought its was only me. great video. now i wanna do my subaru subframe bushings
JonathanOnUA-cam true !!
dude what a sick vid, nice writeup and nice work! +1
@@1kob1 Yeah im saving to do solid bushings on my IS300.
thanks for the upload! you are literally one of the only youtuber thats smart enough to leave the angle grinder guard on
I noticed that also😂
This is probably the best rear subframe rebuild ive ever seen 🙂
FINALLY!

Great job kid.......by the way sawzall Blade you used was for wood. The big tooth blades are for wood and small tooth is for metal.....

This dudes comedy here and there in the vid is hella funny. I can see this dude having a big channel
The bushing that you have to slide the sleave through put the sleeve in forst and you can use a bench vice to install most of the time
The way you make these videos kinda make me believe you did the whole job in the time of the video!
Honestly, the subframe parts I have painted when i'm under there in the future its always nice to see that I took the extra time and made it look good not to mention they come cleaner easier with good paint. In my book on my project cars its worth it, maybe not on a daily driver.

I like how you are clumsy and being safe at the same time. #GrinderGuardGang
Baby come back!
Subbed just for that first sassy look, THAT’S how you do a right proper intro 👌👌👌

Dude i love it when you upload videos. Great shit. Network B or A or w\e just don't go into much and its short. Your videos are informative.
damn i remember when u had like 2k subs iam glad this channel keeps getting big
Good to see your brand doing well hope it keeps growing
thank you im gonna use this as a reference when i do my sc400 subframe. i really love how that color came out
Why not just use sc400 video lol. But yeah the Japanese cars from this era all have a pretty straightforward way of dropping the rear subframe.
You should do a hydraulic e brake video or rear bash bar video
I like how you point out the small things that normally goes unnoticed but not everybody knows. I do have to say tho; glasses, earmuffs, gloves, but you’re in slides? Careful dude lol
I really enjoyed watching you do this.. all I was looking for was a install for a G37 subframe..BUT HEY...you did a great job explaining the process
Very solid video, don’t have a s13 anymore but was nice to watch the overhaul
Nice to see that you have learned how to drive!
Can’t wait to do this to my car.
I’m glad you painted it. Thanks for uploading.

Ill be doing this to my 32gtr this weekend thanks for the tips
That purple looks so good
Subframe collars are soo much easier! But its cool to know how to properly do this job!
this is the kind of video that i want to see. You just got a subscriber
congratulations on the 100k brou I remember when you had line 3k
Is that Dave helping you out refitting the subframe
Richard Culbertson yeah lol
Hi DAVE! :D
Nice video. Just an FYI- no need to burn out old sub frame bushings. I used a small chisel and hammer and they came out in 2-3 min each.. no fire required.
Dude I’ve been really wanting those C clip pliers too! Hearing you moan after using them makes it definite that I’m gonna go pick some up ASAP lol
I was literally just thinking about offbeat hoping you would make a video soon
you should do the subframe bushings trevor's way , with a holesaw!
THAT PURPLE on PURPLE was just soo perfect ❤️. dam
Nice running into you at pep boys today lol. Keep up the good content.
Hey man do you have some guide regarding bump steer and roll center adjustment? Can there be bump steer in the rear?
Sick job and slick video, best maintenance vid I've seen in a while. Where the hell do you get one of those little presses...?
Cant wait to see a turbo tossed in this thing. Every day I check your snapchat to see if youve decided to do it lol
Excellent vid of the rebuild, How many hours ?
I know Dave's knees when I see them.
U gonna do a hydro or a big break kit
What’s the tool you used to pressed the bushings in. It looks like a c clamp. I want one of those. I need to overhaul all my bushings. Thanks
Dave's knees! 17:12
Elliot Curry 😎
Meat gazer! Lol
When you did the knuckles, did you cut out the outter sleeve like how you did with the lca?
Adel when are you going to do a hyro e-brake?
Could you tell me what spoiler you have and where I can buy one? thanks .
Was there more wheel hop after adding the isr control arm's? Or did it help reduce wheel hop. Before the solid subframe bushings install
My integra front wheels does the same exact thing during launches. What do i need to change to correct this issue??
Are you goinng to do a dual caliper setup for a hydro?
Bro would the moog ball joints work on the s14/s15 rare cradle as well ?
Dude i love this stuff. You gotta make more content on stuff like this. Very informative. Btw I was hoping maybe you'll buy another vehicle to modify? :D
I wish I woulda got those bushings I painted mine the same color but got the DIF bushings which are black
are you ever going to do anything with the dash? I like to see what ppl do about the cracks for future reference.
Jesse JessMyster he has said so. Also not flocking it (sadface)
will u polish ur paint, hood looks real messy...
Would it be a similar process for a 300zx? I’ve felt some wheel hop while sliding aswell
Are those bolts in the end special kind or something i can get from the hardware store?
Almost at 100k congrats in advance i love all the vids u make jest wish that u posted more (ik ur buissie)..also u still doing a jz
love your content, dont like intro it takes away the surprise when it shows us the finished part before the video even starts.
How does the car ride with your Offbeat bushings on the street? Mine is also a street car and geting some wheel hop. Hoping to do this exact project, but it is driven on the street.
That color is absolute killer. Do you know what its called?
Dave's knees! hell yeah!
hows the vibration after switching
I want so support you man! When are you going to get new bushings in?
I have just learned so much. Thanks for uploading.
How much torque does your impact have ?
Are you using s14 rear camber arms?
ooohhhhh yeaaaaa Dave's knees looking good at 21:22 of the video lol
that a NA Ka can get sideways , love it.
So stoked for getting "nikitas sr" running :D also, bush-ings HEUHEUHEUHE
Will these subframe bushings also work on an s14?
98.5k subs ago i found you congratz on 100k!!!! MUCH LOVE!!! RCDEVIL
Are you at all concerned with the solid mounted subframe? Will it not add excessive wear? You could probably get rid of the wheel hop using milder methods lol.
whens the exhaust coming in?
what size is the nut on the subframe to the chassis?
Get my man to 100k subs so he doesnt stop making vids
Did you paint the car your self too that sub frame looks great
What kind of ryobi drill is that can I get the model number I need that
God damn that subframe is so gorgeous
How do I do this on a lifted jeep??😅😅 I get this everytime I am in a turn faster than 45 (and yes jeeps do go faster than 45)
Most excellent paint job!!
Man awesome video super confident I can do this on my own
next time you wanna drop ya sub frame, just remove the calipers, saves having to bleed them :)
Love folks who do their own shit. Nice work.
