Oh, if you have time between loads, you can also go to a truckstop and sell it for cheap, or give it away, trust me when other truckers see trailer doors open and 1 person in line, they know what’s up. Lol.
Lol trust me, next time just go to the nearest truck stop and get on the cb and let them know you got a pallet full of whatever that you need to get off your trailer. Whoever wants it come get it. That pallet will be gone in no time!! Had the same thing happen to me with coffee. Just one of the box edges was crushed in a little, even though it was just the box and not the product they rejected the whole pallet. In less than 20 minutes that pallet was gone!
I’ve noticed that as well we don’t have a OS&D ( Overage, short and damaged ) department like most other bigger companies have, previews companies had it were when that happened they tell us to either keep it ( throw it away, keep it yourself, or donate it which they well setup who it goes to and you get paid for that as well. Happened to me and my wife when I worked for Tyson. We had a big pallet of jimmy deal sausage on the sticks… it was a lot. We packed as much as we can… gave some away at the truck stop and at blue beacon but it took forever
What you do is, go to a truckstop get on the CB and announce overage for sale. Depending on the product you can make more off a rejected pallet than what the load paid.
If it happens again, just find the nearest homeless shelter or church to give it to, I had that happen but mine happened to be 3-4 rejected pallets of water, and I gave some to the convenience store that was across the street from shipper, and some black guys took most of it. And I had to find an alternative, because the shelter that was near by was closed for whatever reason.

I’ve been driving for 7 years, If my load got rejected, receivers still take it off the trailer. I took that “cheap freight” because I’m lease purchase not o/o you obviously haven’t watched my other videos, I clearly state that I know the loads are paying more n why I accept it.
The same thing happened to me with Food Lion in North Carolina last week they say they didn’t order ocean spray cranberry juice left Five pallets on my truck key thousand 800 drinks
