Thank you Mike Holmes and team and trades for all the impact that you have on the world we need you we love you continue to be safe and may God bless you and your family and great health
When you have a Positive Mental Attitude. You can move mountains and you can help people make their lives better and worth while. Many thanks for all your inspiration. Here in the UK I am building a shed for a friends and her animals. Using your ways of construction. At 63 I am still learning. It may be a shed. But it will last a very long time.
There needs to be more people like Mike and his crew. As wonderful as it is to build to code, why not spend a few extra dollars and make your masterpiece last. More and more trades people seem to only want to make a quick buck. With those people it gives all the great contractors out there a bad name. Contractors should challenge each other to build and create amazing masterpieces not just a "get in get out" mentality... Keep up the awesome work Mike, Damon and everyone on the Holmes team.
I remember when it was normal for children to be tought by their parents how to fix things. I was less than 5 when I followed my dad around and grew up knowing how to fix cars and do home repair and my mom tought me cooking and cleaning and sewing and other girl stuff. It made me an strong independent woman and a real partner with my husband. Thank God for people like Mike and his crew and these teachers who are sharing needed skills ot these kids.
Ya those days when parents taught there kids basic life skills have mostly been replaced with video games and hightech gadgets ! I grew up learning to do a veriety of trade type work ; mostly cause i like building and fixing things !
Fantastic, wish I could have seen the entire episode. This is how young people really learn job skills. First hand knowledge by getting right in the field they are interested in.

I'm okay though in 2009 The folks at johns Hopkins in Baltimore saved my life by repairing it
While I'm glad to have had some college with a degree, I'd give a lot to do what these kids are getting the opportunity to do!
Can't wait to see this in the us
Better than school.
