@@TeethTalk What toothbrush head from philips sonicare do you recommend? I bought a diamond toothbrush but the brush head it came with seems too hard and I am afraid to use it. Thank you!
My hygienist gave me a soft brush and I can see why. I was always using medium ones. I thought harder was better. Soft gets into the crevices and is much gentler.
I recently just switched to the sensodyne soft toothbrush and I’ve noticed a big change in my gums and teeth. After the SRP I had done my teeth look so much better than before! Thanks to your videos !
Every toothbrush brand has a different configuration of its bristles. Is there a better pattern than others? Or is that just marketing to draw eyeballs to a toothbrush, and they are all basically the same?
I hate the dentist, I don't like people touching in my mouth because gagging I have absolutely no interest in becoming anything dental office related and here I am binge watching your videos for the passed Week and a half haha
My mouth doesnt feel cleaned after brushing with a soft brush. I like using medium brushes. It feels like a layer of dirt comes off when brushing. But mediums are bad for gums i think
A couple years ago I used a regular toothbrush and was totaly fine. Until I read or heard somewhere (maybe here?) that a soft brush is best. At first try I really loved the gentle feeling fo the bristels. Now I can't imagine brushing my teeth witha a regular brush, once tried when I forgot toothbrush on a trip, but it really kind of hurts and it feels so rough and hars.
Binge watching your videos after my last deep cleaning. There are lot of things my dentist/ dental hygienist don’t inform me about even with me asking questions. So thank you, love your videos. Thank you so much 💕
Hey, I've got mild gum recession. But now after watching your videos I've started brushing gently and I'm maintaining good oral hygiene. Will my gums grow back ? Pls reply

You see, it’s impossible to get enamel abrasion, if you don’t brush your teeth in the first place! It’ll give you cavities, and totally isn’t a good idea, but at least you can’t get enamel abrasion! (This is obviously a joke.)
If gum is the only issue, then using the firm one to brush the top side (such as the large top surface of molars) and using soft brush to brush inner and outer side (adjacent to gum) should be no issue, correct?
I love the Colgate Slim Soft toothbrush. My gums have that post-flossing, satisfying "itch" after I use it. Lol. I recommend it to my patients, as well as a Sonicare electric with built in pressure sensor and timer 👍
I was watching several of your videos and got motivated to finally take actual care of my teeth. Today I went out to buy a new toothbrush. Only after a bought a medium toothbrush, I found this video D: should've bought a soft one
Why not just have companies stop selling medium or hard to other brushes lol. Clearly soft brushes are by far the best. Why even have medium or hard tooth brushes for sale if they only cause harm….
Then why does my dentist pass out hard toothbrushes ? Makes sense to me. I always buy my own after every cleaning and toss the one the hygienist gave me. I never thought to question them.
This is so right. Thank you for your great content. 👏👍😄 I got a few recessions on my gum, because I thought medium toothbrush is better than a soft one. Now I am using the sonicare diamod clean electrical toothbrush. This one is amazing. It warns me immediately if I brush too hard.
1. Are teeth supposed to still feel coated with soft bristle or should there be more pressure applied? 2.are teeth meant to feel smooth after brushing or textured? 3.Does smooth mean you've brushed to hard ?
Hi. It is my understanding that we should wait 20-30 minutes after eating before brushing our teeth. Is it okay to floss soon after eating? What is a good routine for a hurried high school student in the morning? Any advice for thoroughly brushing & flossing hard-to-reach back teeth? A video about the different kinds of flosses would be interesting too. (Ex. Waxed vs Unwaxed, tape/ribbon, flat or thin, the types of material used - Glide vs nylon, woven floss. Is there a biodegradable floss?) Floss for tightly spaced teeth vs widely spaced teeth)
hi friend! great video suggestions! thank you! I will add to my list :) and here is my video that should help with the "hard to reach areas" question: ua-cam.com/video/xXeBN_eQkWs/v-deo.html
@@TeethTalk Thank you. The video you suggested is on point. I look forward to your videos. Your content has helped me with my dental health & teaching my son.
I have an electric toothbrushes that's only compatible with medium brushheads. (Its a Phillips Sonicare Diamondclean Smart) I tried using one of their soft brushheads for my old Diamondclean toothbrush but I don't think it was compatible and ended up breaking the unit. I'm concerned that the medium brush may be eroding away my enamel though since it feels a bit too harsh. Does Colgate Hum have the soft brushheads? The Diamondcleans also have a setting to lower the intensity on the brush. I don't know if that would help though. The brush in the description seems to only have the price in Euros listed.
OMG... you're adorable. I somehow came across your channel by way of UA-cam suggestion. And funny enough I have been shopping for a new toothbrush (It's true, our mobile devices are listening to our conversations... lololo). Now I'm hooked on your channel. Each night I'll probably watch one video to learn more about oral hygiene. Thank you for caring enough for using your time to share your knowledge with us all 🤗.
The best brush is the one that you'll actually use. I stopped using my detangling brush because it hurt, and it was so big i had to use half a bottle of paste.
My dental provider told me to use medium and told me I have enamel wear from brushing too hard .. I told her I’ve been using soft. Went somewhere else and they told me the wear was not from brushing too hard it was from plaque buildup that hasn’t been cleaned (didn’t go to dentist for several years)
haha sometimes it's hard to switch over! but once you get used to it - it's SO nice! sometimes I even suggest my patients try an electric toothbrush first - since you'll feel more!
I always recommend my patients don't try to pick it off - only brush and floss (and/or water floss and/or interdental brushes). If you use anything else (even your fingernail) it can push it down into your gums more which makes it worse. It's always recommended to visit your dental office for routine cleanings for proper removal. Hope this helps!
Can you elaborate on toothpaste. I've recently started seeing charcoal toothpaste is it any good. I been using a charcoal toothbrushes for over a year. Is this a real thing? Thanks 🤗
hi friend! generally charcoal toothpaste is not recommended due to being too abrasive on the enamel. and generally charcoal bristles are fine. again - it depends on the individual product - always check with your dental provider on specifics! hope this helps :) ps here is my video that discusses charcoal - hope this helps: ua-cam.com/video/zXJvzBGUnMY/v-deo.html

thanks girl, that's why it's happening with my gums. I bought a new super hard one and after a week of hard bloody brushing my tooth grew up. I was so exciting i though that the massage i gave them really stimulated them to grow. So a doubled the effort thinking that they like it hard and the next week something brownish appeared at the bottom, then more .. They didn't grow at all, that was gum recession. Dam what can i do now, can they grow up back, my gums?? im desperate dam wish i seen you first
