Pre-Ride Warm Up for a Safe Ride - Check this before you get on!

- I see many accidents happen which could be avoided if people would do a few checks before getting on their horse.
Is the horse connected? Confident? Responsive and motivated? Or is the horse tense, distracted, reactive or even plain out refusing participation.
Getting on a horse thats still tense, nervous, non repsonsive, etc isn't safe. So, first step to feeling more confident when riding would be to adopt a good pre-ride routine.
I hope this video gives you some inspiration for what you have to look for.

Nice Work dear Gabi. What kind of saddle is Maserati wearing?
He has the Deuber El Campo Shorty. It is perfect for him and I love that i can adjust the gullet myself
another great and very important video, we are always so in a hurry to get on their back...
but the pre-flight checks need to be essential..
thank you. Those pre-flight checks are so important especially for young, sensitive or inexperienced horses. As the horse becomes more secure and confident, the time it takes will decrease. but even with my oldies I will take a few minutes prior ot mounting to ensure we have connection. Its just one of those little things that will make a huge difference in the long rung
What is the surface of your arena?
I have wood chips as surface
