It's funny you did this and I did the same thing that I'm uploading now lol not the same colors but on glass lol . I love it and I love that glitter that's my favorite one. So chunky. It's amazing how much we doubt ourselves during the process of making something. I do the same thing as far as wanting to add more of something and then saying why did I do that but in the end it always works out. This is gorgeous and you look great😘🤗❤ and dang Duke you have better bedding than I do lol🐶❤

Yes you can always tape the back . I always forget to take the tape off but in 15 minutes to a half hour when I’m done the painting I just get my tongue depressor go around underneath the painting and take the drips off why they’re still kind of wet, so much easier for me anyway and yes I always put a clear coat on top of my paintings when done thanks so much Lewis
It’s usually in the 70’s now. Too cold to ride my Harley, too cold to finish paintings in the garage. Ha. Got some juried into a show, doing hanging wires, some frames etc.

This is gorgeous! How did the oil based brown pigment not repel the resin? I did pour w/ coconut serum , great cells, but forgot to wash the canvas to get rid of the serum & resin was disaster as serum repelled the resin. Have to sand & re-resin.

you just have to sand the top down so the resin will stick to it better. that’s it... I just bought a couple mahogany tables from a yard sale that I plan on doing a video on won’t be for like another month probably but it’s going to be fun.

Hi Candis actually I do sometimes I’ll just put a clear coat on top but sometimes I won’t if the painting is perfect I’ll leave it because it’s really hard to get a perfect painting lol thanks so much ❤️

Stone coat makes an oil base pigment to go into your Resin
It can create a lot of cells and separate from other colors but it does give it a unique look thanks Julie❤️😘

Omg sorry 7 ounces of Hardner and 7 ounces of resin so 14 ounces total resin I think I did have a little bit left over
I had about 35 to 45 minute working time
I couldn't find the copper brown with the link. I can never seem to get cells without resiblast. any advice?

Yeah I use paste and Mica together not in the same cup and that creates cells
Or if you use stone coat resin oil based tints they create tons of cells with mica

Also, gotta realize that it’s hot in the summer. We had 132 days over 100 last yr. but, better than cold & snow. We had that in North Central Wa.

On this piece I checked it 1/2 hour after I was done to wipe off any drips on the bottom
I don’t finish the back because it is in the frame . When I do my MDF boards I always grind the drips off with a grinder literally takes a few seconds then I will paint the back white stamp it with my logo sign it and date it thanks so much Moira❤️
