When she was talking/hugging her parents at the end, I cried. When Bing Bong faded away, I cried. I even cried during "Lava"! (I'm not exaggerating...)
Talia Boroson It just isn't that good, like almost all other vegetables. Cucumber is one of the few I actually enjoy eating. I can tolerate many more with ranch dressing or cheese, though. Broccoli with cheese is good.
Anyone notice how Riley's clothes are colored with the emotions she has? Except for blue, because the other characters aren't letting Sadness do her job. Toward the end of the film, she's wearing black as her emotions break down.
I just developed a theory that until a person becomes a mature adult their emotions are mixed genders once fully mature the emotions are genderized based on the persons gender
The Phantom of The Opera We look inside another minds into the movie and another teenagers also have their emotions of just one gender. I think that it's a subtle way of discuss gender identity.
The Phantom of The Opera I think Riley's mixed gender emotions represent that she is bigender (identifies with both male and female genders). Also when you look other character's emotions, they all look like their person. I expect this means Riley has Dissociative Identity disorder, more commonly known as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Ronnie del Carmen (the co-director) was an alumni of my school in the Philippines. I couldn't help but cry when I saw him because he came a long way, he came from my school in a country not known for animation at all. He came home to promote the film and visit the school. He said when he was still student he stayed in college for 5 years because he was also working, he couldnt graduate in time. He worked in advertising and eventually moved to make his dreams come true. He drew Sadness on the spot and told us about his time making Inside Out and Up. What an awesome team they were to make this!
Inside Out was amazing, I watched it in Emeryville! Where they made it! There was way more adults than kids there and the end credits were hilarious. It had like the best concept ever. I noticed for the birds and boo's scream. :3
So if the emotions feel emotions do they have emotions in their heads too? So that would mean that inside anger's head, there would be a alpha anger who would dwarf all the other emotions, and inside the alpha anger's head there would be a bigger alpha anger. If you go through enough layers of anger's mind, then you would get a super alpha anger who is so powerful that he can override all other emotions and keeps them away from the controls by a unforgiving reign of terror. That or the super alpha anger could have just killed all the other emotions so he doesn't have to worry about them.
Thank you! This was an amazing inside look at Inside Out! We saw the preview where we got to see the video shot at Pixar showing some behind the scenes, but this was super interesting!!!
MommyandGracieShow Omg i cant believe you actually commented on this!!! But i have just seen Inside out on the first day of summer 2 days before it was in theaters on the 19th.
Fact 108: it saved Pixar. Cars 2: sucked (but it didn't have potential anyway) Brave: phenomenal false advertising and just not very good Planes: doomed from the start Planes sequel: also doomed from the start Inside Out: saved Pixar from being the next laughing stock of the animation industry Pixar is back, people.
I noticed something during the movie: 1, Riley's emotions are both genders. Everyone else's emotions are the same gender as their person. 2, While every other emotion is colored with whatever color represents that emotion, Joy is naturally yellow but has blue hair, eyes, and a blue aura. The first leads me to believe that Riley is gender neutral. She does have a mixture of "girly" and "masculine" interests and wears clothing that has no specific gender in mind. The second leads me to believe Riley may have depression. Depression affects your mood so that however happy you may be you are never truly happy and all your happy memories just seem sad. This could also be an explanation for Sadness being unable to stop herself from tampering with memories and why just touching memories for her makes them sad although no other emotion can change the feeling of a memory. No other emotion has blue in him/her because these are all emotions felt during depression. Hope you liked those theories and please feel free to debate.
People have been saying its puberty that explains her having both genders but the teenage boy at the end had all male emotions and it's obvious Riley was also interested in people (guys in her case) so it's just Riley's thing not a puberty thing.
Be Yourself I honestly think why Riley has multi gender emotions is because she has a special genetic thing that makes her have multi gender emotions instead of all one gender.
I was getting REALLY sad when... SPOILERS!!! Joy and bing bong fell into that pit thing, and joy just felt like she couldn't get out and cried, and I wanted to cry too, but I was in the theater sitting next to my dad thinking, "don't cry candy, don't CRY candy!"
I hope I'm not the only one who thought this was by far one of the best Pixar movies of yet to come. I honestly loved everything about and it was so clever! I was actually thinking it would be kind of cool to see Riley enter serious depression and see how everything would turn out then, but I could see why they wouldn't go with that.
I'm at number 12 and so far, EVERY SINGLE FACT is something you can gather just by watching the movie. That's the first 2 minutes of this 18 minute video. If the rest of the facts are of the same nature then this video is completely unnecessary.

I loved broccoli as a kid. Honestly, though, I'd have a sixth "emotion" that's at my own helm. Logic would be my lead, and would be the boss of the other emotions. I can imagine when I turn 21, the helm flooding with beer, drowning Logic, Disgust, and Fear hahahaha I can't wait until a sequel comes out. The big puberty button and the "What's the worst that could happen?" thing is such an indicator of a sequel. Also Bing Bong's words "take her to the moon for me" were gone unheeded in the movie. Either they bring back Bing Bong, or the second movie shows her growing up to be an astronaut, which sort of makes sense since my roommate's friend told me that her friend's dad is a Pixar director, and he apparently has plans to make a more realistic space-themed movie (compared to Wall-E, that is--realistic like how Riley's life is more realistic than other Pixar movies).
+CartoonHangover Hey cartoon hangover you should check out the greenwich sentinel on youtube their very new only 16 subs! but i hope you could help support them thanks PS check out stacy plz plz plz
Also, I knew that the leader of Riley's dad's emotions was his Anger, and the leader of Riley's mom's emotions was her Sadness because they were in the middle. And Riley's Joy.
Oh good, no spoilers. I think I'm going to go see the movie in a few weeks so I don't get caught up in a super packed theater with tons of little kids.
Autumn Heart Agreed, I have enough having to watch the emotions of one 11 year old, I do not need to be exposed to the results of the emotions of 50 of them.
The movie was amazing, but i would have prefered the story of Riley getting teleported into her mind. The movie was great, but i feel that plot could have been even better. Hell, it would have been awesome if they did this plot, but it was Joy, Sadness, and Riley who got taken from headquarters. That would have been even better.
+Arsallan Mulla Ever heard of Invader Zim? Possibly she could have had a portal in her foreskin that she would have to jump into to send her there, just leaving her as a big ball of organs in the real world.
Theres 2 More Facts Sadness And Joy Are The Main Loveable Fillings. Ryle And Her Parent's Main Leader Are The Main Color. Mum (Sadness): Blue Ryle (Joy): Yellow Dad (Anger): Red
I love these videos, but come on guys... Some of these facts are truly interesting but some of them are downright lazy! Number 56 is a good example, like come on, she says that line almost word for word out loud!
This is the Fact that I made for number 61. Ronnie the Codirector of Inside Out movie was a Filipino American and 60percent of the movie was based on his family's life.
+Angelie Salve Bernardez what about..All the feelings in other people's mind look like them like Riley's mum's feelings look like Riley's mum (eg.) but Riley's feelings..Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear..Doesn't look like Riley and They're not all female when others is all female/male (sorry if u don't get it o-o I'm not really good at explaining o-o) tell me if u get it x.x
Hazael Juarez true. but as long as they don't take it too seriously and besides could lead to some clever jokes. Anger meets wrath and greed, where he would get annoyed by them. Sadness meets Sloth. Disgust meets gluttony, where he too annoys anger by eating all his dessert and torment disgust with broccoli. Fear meets Lust where it's like something straight out of a Pepé Le Pew cartoon. Joy meets Pride where there both hyper active, saying how like everything, but Pride would say he only likes himself and the things he does.
TheTitandragon100 Some of the deadly sins are results or actions from emotions: like Sloth can be from depression or just the lack or joy; or covet is anger. But they could introduce influential elements: Desire, Temptation, and Pride; and have Pride as a ring leader or something where it has to learn that it can and how to be good.
Out of all the films I've ever watched, only this one and Hachi have made me cry. Inside out made me cry because of how close Riley's family is, I would give anything to have parents like her's.
This is my idea for inside out: If there's a sequel, a new emotion should enter the picture, romance (or love idk) she should take place! Riley should start to be interested in boys. But romance is also for Riley loving her family. (I also kinda wish Riley would have a brother or sister. It's too late now because her parents must be crazy to have a child now)
They based the film on 5 of the 6 primary emotions in psychology (the missing one is surprise). Any other emotion you fell is just a combination of these 6.
+Sophi XRU Though that is true, the main plot is about Joy and Sadness trying to get back to headquarters. Saying Riley is the protagonist is like saying Gotham City is the protagonist in Batman. Riley is merely the environment for which these characters work and live.
I'm 23 and my boyfriend I live with is 25, and we're seeing it out of curiosity. I saw frozen and the Lego movie by myself lol. Just watch what you want to watch. Nobody that matters will care :)
*OOPS SPOILERS KINDA BUT NOT REALLY BUT ALSO KINDA AT THE SAME TIME* i just watched the movie and im slightly disappointed that Riley didnt fall into depression. I get that it's a kids movie but yo maybe make a PG-13 movie for once Pixar?
As much as I'd love them to do that, they would probably lose money because it wouldn't be "family friendly", and that's always been Pixar's main dynamic.
Riley was falling in to depression, until Joy and Sadness came back. U could also tell that how Riley's moms' Sadness was not as sad as Riley's. What I think is that the whole movie is a metaphor for depression and growing up
Ava Bluementhal technically she wasn't falling into depression because she needed sadness to do so. she basically felt nothing because she was so confused and lost. it was kinda just like she shut down (LITERALLY) so she couldnt do so. the movie just kinda tried to make it so she looked like she was depressed.
Omen that's why i said they tried to portray depression but not exactly getting it. i honestly didnt cry during the movie (which shocked me) but i still have to say it was hella sad. i'm satisfied with Pixar's portrayal of "depression" for a family friendly movie, but it still feels kinda too fake for me
What about the part when this happens? Shouldn't this got on the list? "There's inductive reasoning, there's deja vu, there's language processing, there's deja vu, there's critical thinking, there's deja vu..."
102 would be far more interesting if it were a nod to the change in societies view of gender in that riley feels she is gender neutral whereas her parents, brought up in more conservative and restrictive times, feel that they are cis-gender completely.
I doubt Pixar would go there, and according to interviews the emotion gender's are random, even if most of them seemed to be the same as the actual person. I also personally don't think Inside Out should get a sequel. On the other hand, a glass of conservative tears does sound nice... The reactions to something like that would be hysterical.
***** the problem right now is that Pixar is synonymous with 'Kids Films' whereas Dreamworks isn't afraid to rock the boat and try something with more mature themes. I think Pixar should think about creating a more adult friendly branch that makes films dealing with these kinds of social awareness issues. Having POC lead characters (like HOME did), having trans lead characters, having someone who is disabled (no i will not use the word impaired) as a lead, all of this would be great, having someone on the autism spectrum as a lead etc, PIXAR in its current form wouldn't touch these story lines, but they are important and SHOULD be addressed, and I think pixar could only ever continue to improve themselves IF they did have a sub-company who took on these complex issues for their films.
I really hate the date they chose to release the film, the same time as Jurassic World and a little before Minions. Minions is now grossing more than Inside Out too, which is incredibly sad seeing as Inside Out is a much better film.
Disgust has a blue dress, at least when I got my Disgust doll from Disneyland, she does. And in all the Inside out sections I've seen, her dress is blue.
Riley's mom,dad and that random boy all have emotions from the same gender, while Riley has two males and three females, that means that either she's gonna change her gender of she already did or she is both!
You dont need to mind but if you have to is because she havent reached puberty yet. If you have watched the film, digust asks what is puberty but joy refuses to press it.
When she was talking/hugging her parents at the end, I cried. When Bing Bong faded away, I cried. I even cried during "Lava"! (I'm not exaggerating...)
I cried excatly at those parts xD
Except for the lava part, I cried at the islands falling down

I just imagine it like this, inside anger's head = 5 of anger. joy = 5 Joys. Sadness = five sadnesses. Disgust = 5 disgusts. Fear = 5 fears
They should make a second film from when she gets older and she should have more emotions like love and depression.
yeah and she turns emo and starts listsbing to rock and heavy metal
Oh_snap_itz_Amanda_ I am not against emo people, but that is a _horrible_ idea.
😂 I was joking

***** Nah. Maybe Fear and Anger automagically go trans when Riley's puberty starts or when her personality is a bit more defined.
The depression theory is also why Joy can feel sadness as well as happiness while all other emotions can feel only their particular emotions.
People have been saying its puberty that explains her having both genders but the teenage boy at the end had all male emotions and it's obvious Riley was also interested in people (guys in her case) so it's just Riley's thing not a puberty thing.

Actually, that was 106 facts! When we were on fact number 60, we skipped on to 62!
Thats the 107 facts U-U
God, lava made me cry my heart out! 😭
I got an add for inside out while watching this XD
I want to see this movie but i dont want to cry... ugh
Sammich Lol, me too.
Sammich Be glad you can cry over movies... I generally can't and I'm in two fandoms and I feel heartless :(
I'm a guy and movies don't usually make me cry but I got a little teary eyed lol
Sammich really? no offense but that's a really stupid reason for not seeing a movie. I hope ur kidding cuz ull b missing out big time
I felt the emotions but didn't cry.
Arsallan Mulla I have no idea, its just a cool idea.
Be like a person eating themselves or a black hole
+Arsallan Mulla Ever heard of Invader Zim? Possibly she could have had a portal in her foreskin that she would have to jump into to send her there, just leaving her as a big ball of organs in the real world.
+actionvolcano I agree 100%. And this is coming from the smartest girl in her elementary school!
+Nostalgia Works HOw can she jump into herself? Oh wait... You mean crawl?
I remember when i first saw this film in the theater last year.
Theres 2 More Facts

@@tsuyupie7216 then just dont make the video. instead of being hella lazy. or better yet, just get what you can.

When I first watched inside out i thought "I can't believe I cried for a character named Bing Bong"
Where's number 61???? There are only 106 facts.
I noticed without really noticing tbh
This is the Fact that I made for number 61.
Ronnie the Codirector of Inside Out movie was a Filipino American and 60percent of the movie was based on his family's life.
You are right!
+Cookie SeeU it's when she grows up into puberty (i think) that her emotions turn into her gender and begin to look like her. just what i think.
Didn't anyone else noticed the clear references to Picasso (and maybe Kandinskij in the fourth stage of abstraction) in the Abstract Thought?
the gender of her emotions being different is most likely because riley has not hit puberty yet and her emotions have not fully developed.
I watched this movie and its awesome.I nearly cried like 5 times. Also it was sad when Bing Bong died..
WHEN IS IT RELEASED? I'm SO exited to watch the movie
Mouna Waabach IT'S ACTUALLY OUT ALREADY GOGOGOGO!
CartoonHangover It was REALLY good I highly reccomend it
Mouna Waabach I'm not sure when it is released in your country. Maybe google it
Mouna Waabach I cried the whole time, It was so real and so sad , I bet you'll enjoy it!!!
LOL
The girl's name is Riley Anderson.
My name is RILEY and i was in Mrs. ANDERSON's Class for 1st grade.
Hmm.... We're alike!
Riley's emotions aren't all girls because basically when you're 11 you have the same interests as boys so she is basically a tomboy.
yeah............well i mean the creators of the movie said that she has male and female emotions and hoped no one would notice so no real reason
I'm a tomboy.
+Super Gamer458 I'm a girly girl🌺
17:24 that means Riley is always happy, Riley's mom is always sad, and Riley's dad is always mad.
Funny, I was a hockey fan when I was 11 too. I still am.
If there was a sequel to Inside out, have the emotions fight off the seven deadly sins.
TheTitandragon100 That's surprisingly brilliant!
But that would bother some non-religious people leading to some controversy on the movie :(
Hazael Juarez true. but as long as they don't take it too seriously and besides could lead to some clever jokes.
Well In that case it sounds like a cool concept :)

Out of all the films I've ever watched, only this one and Hachi have made me cry. Inside out made me cry because of how close Riley's family is, I would give anything to have parents like her's.
Maybe globes just all look the same
+Sanic is here Globe, Globe never changes
+Xstar 99 You still replied a month later..
+Block Breaks Minecraft what the hell do you even mean?
Xstar 99 Life.
This is my idea for inside out:
If there's a sequel, a new emotion should enter the picture, romance (or love idk) she should take place! Riley should start to be interested in boys. But romance is also for Riley loving her family. (I also kinda wish Riley would have a brother or sister. It's too late now because her parents must be crazy to have a child now)
FrenchToast love is more than an emotion.
FrenchToast Yeah
They based the film on 5 of the 6 primary emotions in psychology (the missing one is surprise).
Any other emotion you fell is just a combination of these 6.
It would be more interesting if she was extremely unsure about her sexuality, and also, perhaps her gender identity.
or maybe they should make a mini-series on disney channel or something,
Riley isn't the protagonist, Joy is.
that's part of riley
+Sophi XRU Though that is true, the main plot is about Joy and Sadness trying to get back to headquarters. Saying Riley is the protagonist is like saying Gotham City is the protagonist in Batman. Riley is merely the environment for which these characters work and live.
+Bart Simpson interesting perspective i didnt think of it like that but i like the gotham city reference
Uh, I beg your pardon, Riley is the protagonist, not Joy!
Bart Simpson but joy still is made to be a female
HELLO!!!! HI ITS ME JOY!!!! AWWEEEE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING OUR MOVIE!!!!
is it okay that I want to see the movie, I am 15 :)
Maya Driessen You're never too old to watch a pixar flim
I'm 23 and my boyfriend I live with is 25, and we're seeing it out of curiosity. I saw frozen and the Lego movie by myself lol. Just watch what you want to watch. Nobody that matters will care :)
Maya Driessen I'm almost 18 and pumped as fuck to see this movie!

*OOPS SPOILERS KINDA BUT NOT REALLY BUT ALSO KINDA AT THE SAME TIME*
i just watched the movie and im slightly disappointed that Riley didnt fall into depression. I get that it's a kids movie but yo maybe make a PG-13 movie for once Pixar?
As much as I'd love them to do that, they would probably lose money because it wouldn't be "family friendly", and that's always been Pixar's main dynamic.
dankmemes m'lady true, true. i'm just gonna wait for AU fanfics about it then :L
I think this was a very astounding movie and well-deserved praise. Such emotions.
102 would be far more interesting if it were a nod to the change in societies view of gender in that riley feels she is gender neutral whereas her parents, brought up in more conservative and restrictive times, feel that they are cis-gender completely.
Yes that would be awesome. Maybe Riley could be genderfluid or bigender! There needs to be a sequel where she deals with this...
Lucy Furr Hear the cries of Conservatives EVERYWHERE!
Mmmmm tears of the bigoted are just so delicious!
RavenSkaari I agree completely. Pixar DOES need to stop ignoring real life in favor of making things "kid friendly."

At its most hearthfelt moments the movie almost made me almost cry.
I really hate the date they chose to release the film, the same time as Jurassic World and a little before Minions. Minions is now grossing more than Inside Out too, which is incredibly sad seeing as Inside Out is a much better film.
Number #61 was so sad oh my god
Sadly, I haven't seen the movie yet but I hope these facts can connect and make sense once I do.
CuernosBeste It's not out yet.
DarkestStoryline i thought some did?
It is out in some places i just saw it a few hours ago
Well it's out now because today's is the release date for it.
Such a fantastic video. Thanks for the love you put into it! Looking forward to seeing more :) :)

Fact 108 Riley`s cousin is Neo Anderson Welcome back Mr.Anderson
that would actually be #107; it went from #60 to #62.
Fact 108: Disgust in the Mom's head has the same clothes as pre-Disgust for Riley seen in the preview.
just saying, they skipped 61
Disgust has a blue dress, at least when I got my Disgust doll from Disneyland, she does. And in all the Inside out sections I've seen, her dress is blue.
No, it's white and gold
Casey Byers Don't start this.
Casey Byers No... its blue and black. ;)
Tiana K The dress isnt funny anymore. Sorry hon.
Casey Byers It's green and orange
Riley's mom,dad and that random boy all have emotions from the same gender, while Riley has two males and three females, that means that either she's gonna change her gender of she already did or she is both!
Igorcastrochucre or they did it for easy to make it easy to notice who's head we're looking in to
You dont need to mind but if you have to is because she havent reached puberty yet. If you have watched the film, digust asks what is puberty but joy refuses to press it.
but i thought all girls were supposed to go through puberty 2 years earlier than boys
Im not sure tho, besides its just a movie lets all have fun for the sake of it :D
I have to nitpick at something, because people don't believe me when I say that Inside Out is better than the Toy Story trilogy.
I was I the only person that knew that fear was voiced by bill hader? He is such a good actor especially in IT chapter 2
take her to the moon for me.....
Truth is, I didn't cry during that scene
