Great list, I have 5 of 6 in my library! Many of them were part of the reading list when I studied furniture making in college.

I got Bob Fletcher's book on finishing a couple of months ago after a couple of hundred dollars worth of experimenting with finishes and too many hours spent screwing around with pine and birch plywood. I think I have read the entire book twice, and some sections over and over again. Priceless. That is all I can say about that. If the other five books even come close to the first one, I am all in. Also, there are a lot of books that claim to tell you how to do some woodworking subject, like cabinets, but end up being so broad and general that they completely forget to impart the how to knowledge. Instead one gets diagrams of some project that only the most advanced professional woodworker would even consider doing. I have more than one of these that just sit on the shelf. Thanks and stay safe!!!

The books that I seem to go back too are the ones that are composed it simple layman's explanations that I can comprehend. That is a "tip of the hat" to a great author. Thanks , as always, for sharing your thoughts !!!!

Enjoyed the video guys. I have 4 of the 6 books....
I had the pleasure of meeting Bob Lange and Christopher Schwartz at an event once. Both were more than willing to share their knowledge and very personable...

Hi Sedge. I agree with you and your passion about the old fashioned wood working text book. No matter how much you already
know when you open and read a book there's always other examples of alternative manufacturing methods. There's always that
simple little trick that makes the procedure so much quicker and easier. Great channel content just found you. Subscribed Tony

Great list of books Sedge! In addition to books, I suggest buying the Fine Woodworking archive. I've subscribed to FWW for 30 years and have all the back issues. (Ditto for Wood Smith). This year I bought their "all back issues from 1975 to 2020" on USB thumbdrive. ($80 on Amazon) It is much easier to look up articles than thumbing through 30 years of FWW issues!!

Thanks, Sedge, for the recommendations and another infectious, ebullient video!
I know in last Friday’s Live video you mentioned they would be covering the latest TSC55 this Friday... I wondered if you might be able to explain what we are missing on that dust extractor port, if it is still the same. I know Festool has some haters on YT, but Peter isn’t one of them, his videos led me into the Festool world, so I thought you might be able to make some sense of this for folks. Thanks, and keep up the good work across UA-cam, you are a great educational resource and a friendly smiling face. 😀
