I also like to collect graded coins. I agree with you that they should retain more value compared to generic rounds no matter what happens to the spot price of silver. To put it simply, if I am given the choice to buy a generic round of silver or a silver libertad for the same price, I would choose the libertad without thinking twice. I think that most (if not all) people will do the same. Thus, it implies that the silver libertad has some value over a generic round due to reasons such as beauty and government backing. Using the same logic, a graded coin will also have more value than the same coin that is ungraded for reasons such as authentication, a third party evaluation of the condition of the coin, among others. I have been buying one of each size of the silver, from 5oz to 1/20oz. I did buy my first tube of 2022 Libertad's this year. I also have bought some smaller gold Libertad's, a couple 1/20oz and a 1/10oz proof 2022. I love these Libertad's. I collect what I like. I just can't get into the generic rounds. I do not have any, however, because I chose to focus my efforts on the 1 oz pieces. But in so doing, I was able to amass a large 1 oz silver libertad collection, which I may ultimately trade for a few 5 oz pieces. I also agree with going for the slabbed libertad in the 5 oz, because you and your future buyer will have piece of mind in the authenticity of that piece when the time comes.
I've seen a few cases of copper spotting on proof coins after 20-25 years. I hope it doesn't happen here. But even if it does, it's difficult to project how that will affect the appreciated value of the coin over such a long time period.

I think the rumor is that they're coming out sometime mid September.

For those purchases, I usually went with the big online retailers, such as Apmex and JM Bullion.
