i hope 1.0 really solidifies some sort of archetypal meta like this. it feels very samey rn and id like to see some more variety other than CC->spear Q with warrior blood
@@brendantoo5937 I certainly think so. Balance between warrior, rogue and scholar are all a lot closer now. There’s a ton more room for people to play to their strengths in the way they want to
Good video. I would like to mention that no new player should be discouraged by this. Most of this stuff here applies to 1vs1 duels, which you will very rarely get on an actual server. Things are very different in chaotic group fights in the open world, so don't be discouraged to try your own stuff and play what's fun for you.
Thanks, and very true this video breaks down the approaches to a duel. With team fights especially in open world there's a lot more moving parts with different spell combos, matchups, gear difference, where the fight takes place and how people play together so it can't be classified quite as simply as this
Its natural for that most people dislike playing vs control styles since it slows the game down & its part of the reason its much less popular. Despite not being as fun to play vs its satisfying to watch anyone thats great at crossbow play
Playing vs passive play will always be annoying if you are trying to play melee but full melee certainly does work. I suggest checking yumeko for that, he always looks for melee builds since he plays on controller which makes ranged aim much harder. Rage surge is best played mid range since the build doesn't have any hard defensives. If you want to play melee I would recommend double defensive such as frost barrier mist trance, bloodrite aegis or bloodrite chaos barrier. Alternatively you could play a soulburn build like soulburn mist trance or soulburn chaos barrier
Yo @ChappllGR, vamps! Just wondering, I know a lot of people change their key binds for different weapons. I am curious what you all feel is most comfortable. I myself haven't changed anything and find myself fumbling in the arena too often. Just looking for some advice as a total clown at pvp :P
It’s very good to use rebinds to make all swaps comfortable. The best advice I can recommend is don’t bind things up to numbers too high to reach, I go up to 5. Also a mouse with side buttons is very useful since these are extra binds that are very easy to press
Appreciate that, makes sense not to stretch. Time to get comfy with some new binds. Do you generally stick to 3 swaps or you use the whole arsenal?@@chappllgr
@@Shreddygnarz I weapon swap between everything but dont swap to reaper very often. Right now it's ideal to play as many weapons as possible but sword, mace & reaper are the least important swaps to learn. I made a full video about weapons here: ua-cam.com/video/yRQt43HL0Z0/v-deo.html
The clips from my videos are from v arena. If you are playing there you will be better than most of the playerbase at pvp within weeks because it’s very efficient practice. Don’t get discouraged if you repeatedly lose there at first. I barely ever won fights when I first started. Focus on playing one build and one weapon then gradually add in swapping over time.
Cheers for the feedback, my bad on that. Someone else let me know about this too so my more recent ones I have had has voice higher music lower. Hopefully this should not be a problem in any of the more recent videos
I have a bachelor's and a master's specialising in a field of physiotherapy, I also just started playing this game. I can confirm, I am a nerd with no life.
Yeah I love this game and have always preferred full loot. But it's a love hate kind of thing for me. I run a company and have a family, still put in like 7 hours on the first day, pretty efficient etc, next day log in and half the server is twice my level and from then on it's just a grief fest.
Good video, i liked that you named the players for each style ty!

Same here, it does look like they’re giving more identity to different archetypes so I’d hope so

i don't know if i should thank you for making me discover Vrising pvp, new addiction incoming
Good video mate. sick plays
i feel like control is the most frustrating style of pvp to play against but probably the most impressive one to watch with combo of course

Chipsa is so damn good lol. His weapon usage specifically is insane to watch.
Also, awesome vid!
Solid video as always Chappll, thanks for the shoutout!

Any hope for a full melee build? I'm trying to make Blood rage, power surge work but its so difficult cuz people just kite you.

Thats the plan 😊 especially once 1.0 changes are out
@chappllgr I've got 1100 hours in, and I'm still pretty bad at pvp 😭
