Ordered the bee Cool Explorer and it shipped and arrived in less than a week! I was leaning toward the Aventon Aventure before I watched your videos. Thanks for the very in depth review! Still putting it together and have to adjust the front disc brake that’s rubbing a little. Changed the handle bar stem to an adjustable one so I can sit up a little straighter. This bike is HUGE! Kind of intimidating but I was able to get on, I’m only 5’6” with creaking knees. Keep up the great reviews!
Bee Cool is NOT a trustworthy company. Their company contact page lists a shady residential address in Bromly, England when you write them, and the main address in Ontario, California Is a shared Warehouse space normally used by companies temporarily. I have tried repeatedly to contact this company for basic information, like where they are actually located, and their customer service straight up ignores or does not understand the question. Bee Cool DOES NOT MAKE THEIR OWN BIKES. All of these bikes can be ordered from Alibaba for SIGNIFICANTLY less cost from the original manufacturer, Aimos. Bee Cool is just a drop shipping company, selling someone else's product through a shady website. I do not have a problem with Asian business. I do have a problem with a business pretending to be in the USA, and pretending that Noah, and Vicky, and John all work there, when the poor grammar and typos tell me that English is definitely NOT their strong suit. If they are dishonest about WHO they are, and dishonest about WHERE they are, then they are not trustworthy to buy from.
@@majorbogart3476 What you said about what these companies are is certainly true in many cases. It doesn't necessarily mean they're all untrustworthy. Some are. Anyway, you've done everything but tell us who the actual manufacturer is. Until you do that you really can't speak specifically about Be Cool.
Thanks for another thorough review. I have the Cyrusher XF650 for myself, and purchased this exact BeeCool for my wife. With all the features included, this is one of the best priced bikes out there. We are looking forward to getting her bike in the next 2 weeks, hopefully! Also, glad to see your wife fit the bike well. My wife should fit just right.
I like this bike. I like the geometry of the frame, the color, twist throttle, rear suspension, hydraulic brakes, etc... I would definitely consider this bike. Great review!

Another comprehensive review, awesome, and another bike for me to consider. As usual in your videos, concise from a consumer standpoint that I have become to expect and love from you, thank you.
Great review Citizen. I love your style, and your reviews are packed with so much great info and thought, all in a very honest, personable and concise way. I look forward to every one. Thanks.
Best purchase my wife and I ever made. Love them! Have updated several things at little cost. Seats, handlebar riser. I ordered my wife a shorter shock which will actually lower the stand over height by 1.5” . She struggled with the overall height a little so hopefully that will benefit her.

Fantastic review! In comparison to some of the other ebikes I've researched, so far this is the bike that I would buy just based on your thorough and in depth review. And the price is really not too bad for all of what you get with be cool.

Thanks for the detailed review. The part where your wife showed how the bike at lowest seat setting fit her was important to me. The Explorer seemed designed for shorter folks but was a bit much for a 5' 3" person. Was thinking about it for my teenaged daughter but now not so sure.
ask him why he is not giving you the return policy , you get back fifty percent on a used bike, and most show up damaged , only a fool would send this kind of money to get a bike delivered that is going to be damaged and no one stands up in this company, they dont pay for labor of replacing the damaged parts
@@z4u68 They are definitely shady. They capped all damages/repairs at $40 dollars. They couldn't even send replacement parts because of how slow shipping is from China. Told me get parts and repairs from a bike shop and I'd be reimbursed but when I kept pressing to make sure that I had in writing that I would get a full reimbursement they told me about the cap. I went through PayPal and wanted a full refund. They waited until the deadline and offered a partial refund of $200. One of the BeeCool Explorer ebikes coolest features is the Rear Suspension so not gonna be a step through! You could not make the bar lower. BeeCool may make a step through in the future but this is their first model.

Thanks for the info, have you seen one or tested the ET Cycle T1000? Seems like a decent ride but so far I’m unable to find out what brand of battery is being used or who makes the motor. Thanks for your help👍🏻
I wonder if it's worth modding this bike. It has some cool additions that most of the other bikes in its price range dont have, but it would require a change of the motor controller and possibly the hub motor.
I just got my first E bike it’s a Cyrusher,,I put it together and it’s like the back tire is too large for the rim have you seen that before, I aired it up and sat on it and the tire popped off. I took it to the local bike shop they aired it up I drove a two blocks from the tire popped off have you seen that before?
Yes, you need to seat the bead properly. I had the issue myself on my XF650. I took my time and slowly filled and pushed the bead into the rim, filled some more and kept going in that cycle until 20PSI
I suggest when doing Your range test, not only use throttle only, but also a consistent speed, on a level road, with a consistent weight. Like throttle at 16 mph, level road, and total weight on bike of 185lbs. That way one can use the comparison with other e-bikes. Also if a standard range test is set then others with their e-bikes could report their range based on similar parameters. BTW, I love Your videos.
Hey citizen, I have a question for you on this bike . do you think there's enough room for the wires on this bike to put a pretty good-sized handlebar extension to raise the handlebars up and back to you
I get they sent you the bike. Do you get to keep it or do you have to send it back? If you keep it, do you have to pay for it...full price or discounted? Thanks. Great review...really thorough. Looks like a Stunner X. BTW dual suspension on the Ariel Rider 48v X-Class.
What about the heat on passing thru those little by wires? Almost caused a fatal problem in my himi cause of that. Full power on some of these ebikes is no beuno . Wires cant take it full time
CitizenCycle BeeCool is the correct name not Bee Cool but not a big deal as you would say. :) Thanks for the awesome review! The battery cells are made by Lishen. The Aventure is 15Ah not 18Ah
Thanks for the thorough review. Since you've had the bike hands on, do you think it's possible to simply swap the position of the horn/turn signal with the controller for the display, so that the controller is closer to the left grip? (I don't know if the cables will permit that.) If so, that's probably what I would do. I'd rather have the controller close by and stretch for the turn signal horn, that I'll never use as much as the controller. I'm really leaning towards this bike. (I also like the Surface604 Rook (with the 21ah upgrade), but that's $800 more.)
Don't believe a word they say, buying from Beecool bikes is a mistake! You will be gambling, you might never receive your bike, just hear a bunch of lies! They are crooks!
Himi- Out of the box, full charge 7th gear, 9 PAS full throttle pedaling me arse off flat ground, no wind etc. Display fluctuates 29.7 28.7 back and forth nothing between. That's glitchy! Contacted Bolton and company said a big maybe on a new controller and display. 200 bux to match your Himi and color display is a deal. Brian maybe you can do a collab with Kyle and get this aftermarket product thru you? Yes a short 30mph is fast, but nice to have 5 plus klicks in the back pocket. RIDE ON! and nice review of a BEEautiful bike.
@@adamberkowitz4685 yeah aren't the Appalachian Mountains there. I'm in New Hampshire now there's nothing but Hills, spent most of the day today rewiring most of my -bike. @@mjsmjs7905 I love the 650, awesome bike now @600 miles. I have a bridge over the ICW to Oak Island that it climbs easy at 28mph, the descent is much faster than I will admit to in writing, LOL! Just got my orange explorer but the mpg does work trying to resolve it through beecool but the technical department is trying to send me something but my google email wont let it come through. Would you know what all the settings are supposed to be in the background?
Very helpful videos. I am looking at the updated escape pro or the G-Force ZF. Are you going to get this G-Force? I assume it is similar to the one you did with papa.
If I bought this bike I would swap the position of the PAS/ON-OFF with the horn/turn-signal on the left side; on the right side I would swap the position of the throttle cancel with the shifter.
Good video! Throttle only range, 41 miles is impressive. Wish we knew what the cells were. Adjustable front shock always a plus and worth. Sorry they didn’t do that. What was the stock seat like with the rear suspension. I suspect not good, because of how stiff you reported on rear shock. Love to see an adjustable rear shock one day that was affordable. I’d give up hydraulic brakes for a high quality adjustable rear shock. That would save the investment we have to make on suspension seat posts. I have a used Kinect. I still paid $150 plus a new post sleeve, so you know what I mean. Aventure still seems hard to beat in the $1500-1900 Fat tire price range. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents. Thanks for the info.
I was leaning towards Magicycle until seeing your review. Nice job. Are there any discount codes? The 21Ah battery is the big difference. My wife wants something smaller. Lots of trails around here. Oh, self canceling turn signals are easy and been around for years. Better than a car's, too. They automatically shut off after 15 seconds and 150 feet have passed. My 1976 kawasaki 1000 LTD and 1978 kawasaki 1000 Z1R had them.
After all the time I spent searching for the best ebike for me, I finally ordered an Ariel Rider Kepler. It should be here by the end of July. It was your hill climbing video that swayed me.
@@mikemymail7044 I was referring to Citizen's comment about self canceling signals not being on motorcycles. They've actually been available on them for years. I don't know of anything made for ebikes.
Like the reviews! Are you familiar with FISSION eBikes? Have you done a review of the 750 or 750x? Love to see it. I'm on the fence of which bike to get.....
The Mozo Fatman Sus Fork is actually pretty cheap. Saw them on Alibaba for $11. ea when bought in bulk. They don't hold air long-term well and there's no rebound adjustment, which trust me... you definitely want. I replaced my Mozo Fatman with a $140. Bolany ZTZ Cheetahs sus fork with rebound. It too is a light-duty fork, but it holds air well and the rebound adjuster and lockout works fine. I sort of baby it tho. It's miles better than the Fatman..
I got my girlfriend this bike and I bought a 203mm brake disc kit to replace the front disc. The later bikes don't have the shutoff for the throttle, come with a mount for a front rack and 180mm brake disc. I'm sure there are other updates. So your review has made this bike even better!
Do you think My wife who is 5'2", would be able to ride this bike? Their website claims 5'2" minimum. I know youve said you have a shorter wife. Has she tried to ride this one? If so how did she like it. If not do you think 5'2" can handle it well? Thanks!
Can you review a bike that is available to ship to the UK. I have liked many of your reviews but there are so many that are only available in the US. One bike I saw was $1600 to buy and $1900 to ship to the UK. I have a cyrusher xf650 which I find a tad big for my 5'8" frame. I have no trouble riding it just when I stop I'm on Mt tippy toes. This bike looks like it would suit me but the website shows no shipping to the UK.

@@CitizenCycle925 I got the bafang bbs02b 750 watt. The 1000 W was not available so I went with what I could get should be here in a few days. With 48 tooth ring I believe it would hit about 38 mph. BeeCool Rocks! I really love the Challenger but I want to ride bike trails and the Explorer may be accepted better by the 'bicyclists' there... Plus, in Okla City, Bike trails are for Class 1 and 2 only. Class 3 bikes not allowed! So, the Challenger make look way too cool to risk a $500 ticket. I think this is the one I'm gonna get its really nice for the price. How were the brakes on this one?
12:45 May I ask what type of terrain and hills that you used on your throttle only test run
The fork adjustment is on the other side
Would you recommend this one or the Aventon Aventure?
I suggest when doing Your range test, not only use throttle only, but also a consistent speed, on a level road, with a consistent weight. Like throttle at 16 mph, level road, and total weight on bike of 185lbs. That way one can use the comparison with other e-bikes. Also if a standard range test is set then others with their e-bikes could report their range based on similar parameters. BTW, I love Your videos.
Hey I have the same bike how would I go about bumping up the speed limit
Hey citizen, I have a question for you on this bike . do you think there's enough room for the wires on this bike to put a pretty good-sized handlebar extension to raise the handlebars up and back to you
Yes there's enough slack in the cables to raise the handlebars a good amount I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks for your reply, I always look forward into watching your videos, you do a great job
I Liked what Bee Cool Explorer offers at the price.
I get they sent you the bike. Do you get to keep it or do you have to send it back? If you keep it, do you have to pay for it...full price or discounted? Thanks. Great review...really thorough. Looks like a Stunner X. BTW dual suspension on the Ariel Rider 48v X-Class.
He gets to keep the ebike at no cost in exchange for the review.
But I believe he does very honest reviews.
Your back yard setup it goated
How does this compare to the ariel Rideal or x-class?
What about the heat on passing thru those little by wires? Almost caused a fatal problem in my himi cause of that. Full power on some of these ebikes is no beuno . Wires cant take it full time
Ordered mine in aug. Hopefully will be here on a couple of weeks thanks for the review cause I didn't test ride one yet
So you ordered it did you get it yet how did this bicycle workout for you?
CitizenCycle BeeCool is the correct name not Bee Cool but not a big deal as you would say. :)
Thanks for the awesome review!
The battery cells are made by Lishen.
The Aventure is 15Ah not 18Ah
It says 21ah though... What am I missing
@@JoeDubsDotCom my aventure is 15 ah battery
@@JoeDubsDotCom Aventture is made by Aventon. BeeCool makes the Adventurer and both are mentioned in this video.
Any review updates 2 months later?
I am considering this one or the Aventon Aventure. I'm only 5'4 so this may be out of my comfort zone also with the way the handlebars are made.
Contacted Bolton and company said
a big maybe on a new controller and display.
What mineral oil should I use for my Bee Cool
Citizen I know where you live is pretty flat for the most part, but have you ever had any issues with the three motor plugs getting so hot they melt.
I lived there for 7 years without an eBike, the hills were enough to wear my legs out, LOL...
@@adamberkowitz4685 yeah aren't the Appalachian Mountains there. I'm in New Hampshire now there's nothing but Hills, spent most of the day today rewiring most of my -bike. It shorted out yesterday thankfully it didn't blow up, the three motor wires were fused together. The rubber almost completely melted off of them.
@@mjsmjs7905 Dang, not good, hope you get it all rewired and worked out!! I will be in Union Maine in summers going forward, I think this bike and my Cyrusher 650 will do well. Time will tell.
@@adamberkowitz4685 you like 650, I have the Speedrid. It only tops at 26, but the thing is absolutely insane on a mountain bike trail, there is pretty much no hill you can't make it up. I put it on all types of Black Diamond trails singles diamonds not double diamonds.
@@mjsmjs7905 I love the 650, awesome bike now @600 miles. I have a bridge over the ICW to Oak Island that it climbs easy at 28mph, the descent is much faster than I will admit to in writing, LOL! I plan on hitting Brunswick Nature Park bike trail this week to give it a bit of a stress test - but mostly flat here at the coast.
Just got my orange explorer but the mpg does work trying to resolve it through beecool but the technical department is trying to send me something but my google email wont let it come through. Would you know what all the settings are supposed to be in the background?
I just got mine today, unfortunately the battery was damaged during shipping. I'll keep you updated on how beecool handles this.
Which e-bike would you suggest for a guy 6'2 and 275 pounds, for range, speed and hill climbing? Rad Rover 5 sucks, my bad. Thanks
MOSFETs in controller are rated 25amp max, which is why it is set for 22amp max
Nice to change it up a little well done.
Loved it great buy....
Seriously thinking of getting one they’re 200 off right now!! Still recommend it?
Thanks for review I guess really got Wednesday but anyway looks like cool bike most knobs people want three things speed range and price
Maybe a 10 second cutoff switch for the turn signals? That would be cool.
Fiido m1 cost me 750 English pounds front and rear suspension 20in fat tyres and I love it .
How many levels of pedal assist? Most have five some have more.
The bars seam very narrow. Is that true?
Beecool website lists the handlebar height for both bikes at 41.5" not 45" ?
I’d like to see a pedaling range test. Please!
How do you turn on the head light
Typically, you just hold the.
Up button or Plus button for 3 sec
I know they aren't exactly the same, but what do you recommend... this bike, or the Himiway Escape? Thanks!
Cells are made by Lishen.
Definitely looks like the best bang for the buck
Who makes the 750 hub motor?
They make self canceling blinkers for bikes, have been for years. They work by time or by after the turn when the bike levels back up.
Great review! Do you know the diameter of the seat post tube? I called customer support and the person I talked to didn't know.
On the bike I have I believe it's 31.6 mm
Just checked, Cyrusher batter is 17ah, not 13. Certainly 21 appears to be better. I guess quality of the battery is also important.
Battery on the Cyrusher XF650 is13AH, you must have an XF900 that one has the 17AH
Where do you get these self canceling turn signals then? I can't find any any advice or locations?
@@mikemymail7044
I was referring to Citizen's comment about self canceling signals not being on motorcycles. They've actually been available on them for years. I don't know of anything made for ebikes.
What is the difference between the Adventurer and the Explorer?
The only real difference is the frame design, they're pretty much identical
This bike looks like it would suit me but the website shows no shipping to the UK.
hi Christopher, I will be reviewing a Fiido T1 bike in the near future, just waiting on its arrival. almost certain they ship to UK :)
I need to come out there and show you my latest project when I get it done. In the process of building my own mid drive. Would be kind of cool to have some of your thoughts on it.
What mid drive did you go with?
@@CitizenCycle925 have not picked it up yet. Just drove to South Carolina yesterday to pick up the bike I want to ride it for a week or so to see what else might need to get changed. Will be going with a bafang minimum 750 but I’m gonna try and use a 1000 watt I believe.
@@CitizenCycle925 I got the bafang bbs02b 750 watt. The 1000 W was not available so I went with what I could get should be here in a few days. With 48 tooth ring I believe it would hit about 38 mph. With a smaller tires I will probably even set a bit of a speed limit on that at least until I can find some maybe 2.6 or 2.8 tires and see if they will fit.
The Explorer is also lighter, better cost and about the same range as the heavier bike
