On the first episode of INSPIRE TO INSPIRE |Season 2| our guest "Vik White" @ItsVikwhite talks about (the power of habit, not allowing your feelings to get in the way, and what it takes to have a VISION for yourself.)
Over the years Vik has created a strong presence for himself in the dance community, from being on "So You Think You Can Dance", to going viral on social media from his dance videos. Through out Vik's success, one thing has been a constant factor, to become better every day despite what you're feeling or going through. At the end of the day, discipline will always outweigh motivation.
This episode emulates why you need to develop habits for yourself, if what you're doing isn't working, this is a good sign to switch things up and get outside of your comfort zone to evolve.

Vik is a somatic genius, if such a thing exists, and he proves with each new video that it does. His body talks, it communicates through complex movement. Add to that is that he is extremely creative and innovative. And lastly, he sings while he dances. I love that! He looks like he’s really enjoying himself while the rest of us are agog with amazement.

I won't lie. I watched this originally because it was Vik (dancer extraordinaire), but as the video played, I realized I wish I could have heard this conversation 50 years ago! It would have helped me recognize dead ends a lot earlier! But thank goodness your video has a chance to help those that are coming along! Bless you both!

I think we are predestined but there are many paths that canget you there. Some paths are harder than others and sometimes we wander of the path and get lost. Our decisions determine which path we end up on.

I'm new to Inspire, but I've been following Vik's career on different social platforms since SYTYCD. His dance with Melanie, Gun by Mas Ysa, still speaks to me... Through all my struggles, his content, and that of Fikshun, Bdash, and others have inspired me to keep fighting and smiling through this journey. You're making an impact on this world, and it's refreshing to see genuine creators like Vik promoted for his humanity as well as his skill. 37:18. When you brought up the "personality mask", being a "Hollywood Thing", I think it's true for people in general.
But maybe more pronounced in the entertainment industry, due to the nature of the business, being about talent and beauty, and fast money.
I think it's a rare, and admirable quality for someone to maintain a singular persona, no matter the person, place, or circumstance.
When I see this in others, I get inspired, because to me it denotes a strength, that Instills trust. The sketchier a person acts, putting on airs, it's hard to feel completely relaxed in their presence. 😌or😵💫😏🤫

I had an English teacher in high school who criticized my poetry and I now realize that it damaged my confidence with my writing. It truly makes a difference to have support but maybe it made me write better in some ways. He even wrote in the margins of my journal 😒

On the whole selfish human nature thing, if you look at young children, how the whole world is all about them, their wants and needs. I think a part of that time period/mindset, lingers as we get older,and find out, it's not "all about us".🤔🧠✨

Being a dancer is like being an athlete, you are limited to various types of dance and various sports: The question is do you have the talent and personality to evolve into a public speaker after your carer is over? Most dancers and athletes go off into obscurity and very few are handed microphones and become show hosts. I dont see either of these guys as show hosts, they are back up danceres not "Show Headliners' their talent is restricted to dancing only, neither have stage presence or actiiong ability, neither can verbally draw the attention of crowd and keep it. Learn to invest and build busiensses because when you are old you will no "exit strategy" and building so ther is an exit strategy should be the reason you are building now. Better yet, Dont be a dancer or athelete let those be just SOME of your abilities and talents , be the multi talented well spoken guy with stage presence they pick out of the crowd and hande the microphone to and then say exactly the right thing (that they want to hear)
