  • See more at www.tomtarrant.com. Here's our killer flip in San Antonio, Texas. Like Flip This House but this is done right, not like you would see from those San Antonio brothers on TV. This project was a complete gut down to the studs. The home had been abandoned for years and we took possession with dead bodies inside. We Buy Houses San Antonio and We are San Diego Homebuyers!

    Now, this is why you are in the position you're in. I would have walked into that home, done a complete 180 and ran. I'll never look at crappy houses again the same way, Not after seeing this brilliant transformation.

    You would be suprised how much bang for my buck I can get. The secret is getting "the look" without spending big bucks. Theres no travertine in this house, only porcelin. The cabinets are from Lowes, the ones you stain yourself. I stained them cheey to look expensive. The granite slab counter I do myself as well, they come prebullnosed from China for $10/sq. ft. Doing all the work yourself drags out the project but its how you make the big bucks. Thanks for the comments! -Tom

    Great job! You made it look like fun, and everything! And it seems there's a best-seller in your secret, so i know the publishers are beating a path to your door! BTW, can you disclose how long it took you to complete each remodeling phase, or what problems you ran into and how you overcame those? Just curious.

    Like a ghost or sprit. the info said they took posession of the house with dead bodies inside. Now that is creepy.

    That car port is outstanding. I have a 53' mcm ranch I need assistance with, it's not as intense as your job, but it needs work-intersted? In tulsa.

    you need to get that house spiritually cleaned , theres dozens if not hundreds of orbs in these photos.

  • @MrMadscotsman
    @MrMadscotsman 11 років тому

    Tom- an orb is dust reflecting light in a flash photo. But that place had some serious bad mojo going on before you redid it.
    Was this one of your first flips?

    This video made me sad. You took a beautiful Mid Century style home and upgraded it comp,early wrong! Don't get me wrong you did great work and it looks quality but this home was never meant to look like this. I think if you would have restored it keeping the integrity of the original design you would have attracted a younger buyer and probably would have gotten far more interest. I think its sad that another great mid century home was updated into another cookie cutter looking home. Very boring and unoriginal.

      This is the problem with people "updating" houses. People have it stuck in their heads what "dated" is and want what you see here. He did a great job, and gave buyers what they want these days unfortunately, but destroyed a piece of history. Somehow Victorians, Craftsman, and other older homes don't fall under the "dated" category. For some reason their history has been accepted, and mid-century modern houses haven't, when each of them were the new architectural trends at the time.

      He didn't destroy anything. He took something that was about to fall in and made it something beautiful that people want nowadays.

      American housing has been trading in cliches since Victorian ceilings and trims were mass produced. Each era prefers one set of cliches over another. Yes, he introduced design elements that aren't mid-Century. But, let's face it, mid-Century design was not high art. Would this house really have been much better with sputnik lamps and star clocks? Butchering a Victorian that is handcrafted is terrible. Mix and matching a Mid-Century tract home filled with cliches is no great loss.

    Way to show amateur Armando how to flip, the house looks 100 time better then the cheap crap that Armando dumps out...although, Veronica is pretty hot to make people buy.
