While I much prefer the VHS head sculpt. The 97 is a WIN for collectors, the aftermarket pricing for Slim was ridick for him. Just going to get a custom Jim Lee head and he'll be perfection.
100% agree, the warlock head is the far superior head. The 97 body is great I just wish he wasn't so buff. I liked the fitness of the warlock body too. I don't want my X Men display to look like a body building contest.
That body mold is so outdated, and start crocked at the legs. If you have him in box keep him there, and display some other version, like VHS, or X97. Triangle is the same head, but painted, you can scratch that bad painting doing this swap.
I put my Warlock baf cyclops head on my VHS a while ago because it blends in well with the cell shaded body. I put the VHS head in the 97 body and I put the 97 heads on a smaller bodied custom “Champions” Cyclops because it looks young. Actually works well.

97 head sits a bit high on the neck. VHS Cyclops head is just perfect.
I want to do that, but at the same time, why bother on this, Hasbro is gonna make other version later.
I have the Warlock Wave Cyclops. I like it a bit too much to let it go.😢 But the options on the new one are awesome

The head of the 97 version is just very cartoony in the face.
I feel like the VHS Cyclops looks better overall and it’s easy to remove the shading def picking that one up
