I've been in Kingsdale numerous times, but I'd not heard of aquamole aven before, probably because I'm a caver rather than a cave diver. Nice little video, looking forward to seeing to seeing the full thing. The dig from the surface to get access reminds me of Titan shaft into Peak cavern in the Peak district. My friend Rick Stanton of Thai cave rescue fame, had the opportunity to go down shortly after it was opened and asked if any of us wanted to come. Unfortunately it was a mid-week trip and most of us had work the next day. However one of the guys who was a student and very keen said he was free. Just one problem, although he'd done a couple of short abseils he'd never had to pass a deviation, rebelay or done any SRT before! I gave him a crash course that evening after the pub, just using a rope tied to a doorknob and explaining the theory in simple terms and making sure he understood it. He then borrowed my gear and had a quick play on a tree on his way home. I must be the world's best teacher because Rick said he did a better job than him!
Great story. Thanks for sharing. In Northern Caves 2 it just refers to Aquamole Aven Series - only accessible to cave divers. The surface shaft was connected in 2002 - see video description. There's still some work to do to complete the video, so it will be a little while yet.

Been binging these before my trip to the yorkshire dales! Really getting me in the mood to take freshers down mistral hole

Great video, but I think I'll stay to my relatively dry caving where you can at least get your nose above the water.
I'm not a diver either! I only filmed the bits where I could breathe air without the need for cylinders. The complete video is now almost finished.
