Let's see how many "takatalvi" we get still. 😅 Forecast promised some snow or "räntä" for Saturday. I'm guessing it will snow a bit still in June.

I always love watching your videos, it's really nice to see FInland through your eyes.
That takatalvi on 20th though... we just had our summer tires changed on 19th, I felt slightly offended! 🤣

I also can't believe that it's snowing again even though it's May/end of April..... Safe trip to Nihon.
Maybe make a video with your family again too.

The snow in the video gave me anxiety 😁. I think we all have had enough of the winter for now 😁. Thank goodnes we had such an amazing Vappu weather, which you might have missed if you already flew to Japan. But the weather must be quite spectacular in Osaka.

Yeah I missed warm Vappu weather this year. It's like summer here already in Kyoto.

Finnish people cannot afford those things. We usually go to supermarkets or secondhand-shops.

Why do you take cinnamon and cardamom from Finland to Japan? BTW. Once again great video.

To bake cinnamon rolls. Probably they are cheaper in Finland. Thanks!

How is the train in Finland? Anything compared to Japan?

    • @ilari90

"Leaves on trails stopped the country's whole railway network for a day'" We like to joke about the crappiness of VR (Valtion Rautatiet/National Railways) but it's ok, maybe 15-20 minutes late at times, and that's what I recommend considering at least if you are thinking about changing to bus from some station to get where needed. Sometimes longer if something happens in a big key station. Trains are new and comfortable, with restaurant section, beats bus travel. Although VR pricing has now changed and it is really high at times.

I don't think any country compares well when comparing it to the Japanese train system. Japan is in a league of its own. That being said Finnish trains can be separated into two categories. Local trains are usually very punctual, long distance trains can often be late 10-20 minutes. I take a local train every morning I can't even remember when it was late the last time.
