Good video, brother . I am surprised about the catfish for some reason . I see it was a fun day at least . Glad to see that you want out man . P.S. Here this man . I went kayaking 🛶 with my whole entire family yesterday ( wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , my lil brother , & his son , & both dogs JACK & JJ . They just love ❤️ kayaking 🛶 man . We all didn't have cellphone Signal while being on the water & Severe thunderstorms with a tornado was heading right for us & we didn't know it at all . My in law was trying to call & text us to tell us to get off the water. We could hear the Yeah the thunder and see the lightning but we had no cover to go to at that time. We was praying for cover. The wind started to pick up & it got up to 85mph & that was the tornado hitting us. Right when the wind started we find a bridge to take cover . We all was so scared man . Especially the dogs . This storm came out of no were man cuz while it was Thunder. And lightning the river to the right side the sun was out but to our left it was very very dark & we couldn't see it over the tall tree . I have been in a tornado in my truck 🚛 before & was not scared but not in my kayak 🛶 on the water & didn't have any cell phone signals really really suck man. The storm was very very Severe was had them on & off all Evening long . We whole entire family members and friends was scared & was worried about us cuz they couldn't get a hold of us . Didn't know if we was ok or need help or Dead or alive . What a scared Saturday because the Weather man call for it to be sunny & very very Extremely hot 🥵 which it was at up until 5pm . I hope you had a good & better weekend than we did .
Wow, what a crazy experience! I'm glad to hear you and your whole family, including the dogs, made it through safely. It must have been really scary, especially without cell service. It's a good reminder of how unpredictable the weather can be, especially when you're out on the water. I'm glad you all found a safe spot under the bridge. I hope the rest of your weekend was calmer and everyone recovered from the scare. Thanks for sharing, and stay safe out there, brother!
@TravisDoesKayakFishing Yes it was a very very crazy scary experience for all of us. We couldn't understand what was going on because to are right side the Sky way sunny & to our left side it was black but we couldn't see the sky because of the tall tree but we could Hearing the thunder & when we saw a break in the tree that when we knew that we was about to be in Trouble . The dogs was very very extremely scary. Jack was right beside whining & I kept telling him that it was ok And was petting him. Thanks you so much man but we all are ok we just got really really wet which was ok because it was very hot outside so it cool us down some.
There is a very underrated spot on lake hartwell , it is at singing pines recreation and you should make a video fishing there, when you go there launch at the boat ramp and kayak around the park then make your way to the othere side where there is a fishing dock. I will make an unlisted video to show where it is
That's an excellent area. I might just have to launch there. I know when mid-spring to late-spring comes, you cannot beat this area of the lake for bedding bass.
I don't have much choice, almost all of the lakes I have available to fish are super clear. I'm used to it, and now I enjoy it. Might be nice to fish a lake with 3 feet of visibility as a change of pace though.
I love it. I find I do great if I can narrow channels to fish in but if I am wide open, I can struggle to find them. Deep brush 25-50 foot and ledges about the same seem to be the key.
I say the one off camera totally counts. lol. Will you do me a favor and teach the Gheenoe Guy how to remove a catfish from a hook? He won’t listen to me! Haha
Me too man. Wish it were on the camera though. It was the second best of the day. Man, I don't why people are so worried about grabbing catfish. Even if they spine you, you will live and it doesn't hurt. You just have to get the fingers between the spiney fins and it's really easy to control them. Catfish are lazy once you have them.
I love golf but I am so bad it. People get frustrated playing against me because of how much I slow down the game. I do like it though. I just need to get lessons at some point.
Big spot at the end..that was a pretty fish. Marked up pretty.
Yeah I love the spots like that.

Awesome stuff, dude
That watercolor is amazing
It's my favorite spot to visit, no doubt about it. I love this water clarity.
I’ll be camping on Hartwell near Starr, SC next week.
Doing my research! 😁
Thanks for doing some research here. That's a fantastic area to be fishing in IMO.
The Frittside just flat out produces!
This was my second fish with it. Both have been solid. I need to tie it on a little more often when they want a crankbait.

Great vid I just killed it with the frittside 9 today
I need to get a few different colors. I like it right now. It's nice little budget friendly lure.
Are you a fan of golf? My friend living on broadway lake is having a golf tournament at pine lakes on broadway lake.
