Robert Plant came out the other side of the Led-Zeppelin hurricane with so much class and dignity.......a true inspiration to all in the music business.
He took a beating. Nobody payed a higher price than Plant for the bad karma Zep left laying around. Bonham his friend, who he got into the band, died. His son died. Don't forget the accident that left him in a wheelchair.

As a fellow Christian, might I suggest that in your evangelistic efforts, you reach out with love to others rather than contention. It seems to me that’s what Christ would do.
I lost my son in 2017, and Plant is correct, I don’t know how you get through it. I thought I would die from the grief and pain, yet six years have passed and I’m still here, but oh how I miss my boy. He was my person, my heart.
I'm so sorry. No one should have to endure the loss of their child. There are no words or acts that could ever make that make sense. My 18 year old brother passed in 1966. I've seen first hand the grief of parents. God bless you.
Stairway is more powerful to me, now at 63 than it was at 23. So much appreciation in my life to Robert and Jimmy. So, so much appreciation for all of their music.
The thing I really like about this man, he was and is famous as all get out. But he doesn’t act like he has ultimate wisdom that the world needs to hear from him. A quality that seems to be missing from the “stars” today. Bravo Sir!
Hmmn, there's a bloke by the name of Jimmy Page! Erudite, never ever speaks bad of anyone, still carries his childlike love of music. Speaks clearly, minimally speaks. The epitome of grace, dignity, and a rock legend!
This man is and will always be my musical hero. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to appreciate just what an intelligent, wise, humble and soulful human being he is and my respect and admiration for him continues to grow. He really is one of a kind. Legendary man
Remember that funny story where Led Zepplin rped that girl with a fish. Oh 70’s rock stars were scamps. Oh and the one where Jimmy Page had a 12yr old girlfriend when he was in his 20s. Lori Mattix… look into it. Sick men
He can be kind of a dick, though, too - like about this song. He was pleased as punch with the the reaction it got (look at the way he performs it on Song Remains the Same), but after that he went off it and has consistently disrespected it in spite of the fact he knows that fans love it. And actually he has shown the same disrespect to the whole Zep catalogue, by the silly way he performs it, and to the band and fans by the way he has passively-aggressively resisted a reunion instead of openly just saying 'no'.
I was about to say the same thing. Like him or not as a news anchor, his interviews of rock and roll legends on AXS are always very good. I have a feeling he is a huge fan of 60s and 70s rock acts.
Yet all he focused on was the death of Carrick for over half the interview. Ghoul reporting. Most people that watched this are LZ fans so know how bad it was. I had tickets to one of the cancelled dates and know it all too well.
My son was murdered 2 months ago, so I know exactly how Plant feels. The only difference is that my son was taken from us, it was no accident or sickness. I can certainly see why "All of My Love" means much more to him than Stairway.
It doesn't matter if it's Stairway, Kashmir. Whole Lotta Love, Achilles Last Stand, Dazed, In my Time or, indeed, All of my Love - amongst many others. The legacy of what this band produced is there for all to see and is unrivalled imho...
I never tire of listening to Robert Plant talk, whether about his music, other people's music or other topics. He has remained down to earth, humble, curious, open hearted and open minded. My teenage years idol and he still remains a very beautiful man, imo. He is always a gracious, humorous, thoughtful and eloquent interviewee.
I was 15 in 77 and I was at one of the shows at the forum in LA and It seems like yesterday! Just to be there was extraordinary, 3 hours of joy standing feet from the stage! The solos from Jimmy, John and JPJ Were incredible! What a time to be alive!! Zep Forever!!!
I am about the same age, a little younger, and baclk then, my parents didn't want me to go to the concerts of the bands. today, when I look back, that was a bad advice. all of the bands I saw when I was a teen, are part of the best things I have experienced in my youth. Pink Floyd at the Wall in 1980. QUeen on the Game Tour, AC DC with Bon Scott on Highway to Hell tour, and many many more. thank God I went to these conserts. I missed Led Zeppelin unfortunately.
I was 14 in 68 and got to see them in a tiny club in the UK, standing only, in the front row. The stage was a simple raised plinth about 12" high, and Plant and Page had to stand half off the stage because of bonhams drum kit and the hammond organ, amps & speakers taking up the space. Magical. They did a return gig in 1970, same club, same deal, front row getting sweated on and deafened. Plant said off stage at one point "dont remember it as THIS small"! I can even remember what I wore and what they wore (I wore a long silk skirt with an embroidered peacock).
@@lat1419 unbelievable. What a great time it was. These were the days when indeed magic did happen. I mean between the end of the 60s and the early 70s decade. You were lucky.
He has had a lot of pain and yet he gave us his heart in the music he makes to bring joy into the world. He has an enormous amount of fans that can feel his pain, his true fans who wish for him , a wonderful life. ❤️✝️🙏
The best thing you can do for Robert as a fan is share in his grief , especially if you've gone through the same things . That's where the common ground begins of humanity. What's real Aa oppesed to what's fake in the life of a rock star.
Robert is holding back with a little grin here. He has said for decades that "Kashmir" is his favorite & the song he wishes to be remembered for. I don't blame him holding back a little for all the STH lovers - he's aware how iconic it is for so many. "Kashmir" is and always been the song I go back to time & time again on my playlist. I'm just glad I live in a world where Led Zeppelin exists.
I love them both, but neither are anywhere near my favorite Zep tunes. I'm 60 and I was as big of a fan as there is. I have listened to them so much I can go song by song, album by album, in my head. For that reason, I do not listen to them all that much anymore and it sounds more refreshing when I let some time pass. I do play a fair amount of their songs on guitar and The Rain Song is my favorite to play.
Like da324, I've been listening to LZ for over 50 years, and now I'm careful, like to put some time between listens. And favourites change over time. I remember giving LZ III my first listen and thinking, "well, that's a dud." But over time, maybe that's what I think their best album might be-- though I usually end up having a big argument with myself when I try to form an opinion on what their best album/song was. I do treat "Since I've been lovin' you" as a fine wine.
@rodchallis8031 well you both have me beat. I'm 52 & the first time I remember asking my Mom who that was on the radio I was about 10 - so I'm only at 42 years of listening but it's been THE BEST in my 42 years. That's a great song as well. I find the meanings & feelings either change for me over time or take me right back to a special time in the past.
@@rodchallis8031 I agree that Since I've Been Loving You is one of their best, and it's much more easy to listen to on a repeated basis than Kashmir and STH. Kashmir is impressive, but it's repetitive, so I can't listen to it over and over. STH, on the other hand, is amazingly constructed, but I only listen to the last part starting from Jimmy's solo. But Since I've been loving you is excellent throughout and it builds in a pleasing way. You also can hear each person playing at the top of their game, providing equal weight. A fine wine, indeed.
Yeah. Led Zeppelin is GOAT. Their music took you to places that could only be accessed by the imagination. I don't think there has been a better band at that than Led Zeppelin.
I lost 2 daughters when I was younger and it was incredibly difficult, it turned my life upside down and still does. Thanks for the great music Robert.
I lost a son close to forty years ago. It still hurts. I feel for you, losing two children. It turns our lives upside down but it also taught me life is finite and to live each day to its fullest. That is my son's legacy to me. May you find peace in your life.
Interesting as I don't listen to Stairway and think of 23 Yr old guys. It's a fantasy songs that references Tolkien so not sure why he doesn't think it's relevant to him now.
"...love everything around you as much as you can." he is still so insightful and lyrical. Thank you Robert Plant. Your poetic gift is a gift to us all
I only learned a few years ago that he lost a son many years ago. Karac would be 45 now. I have a tremendous amount of sympathy and compassion for parents who have lost children, the pain must be excruciating. He has done the right things, though. He doesn’t bury the memory, instead he writes songs about him. It won’t make the pain go away entirely, but it is far more healing than to lock his passing and the pain it causes away. Thank you, Robert, for all you give us with your music and phenomenal singing. You are a classic, a true legend. ❤
He was in front of me at customs in Dublin airport 2019...i said whatever brings you to Ireland..he said to visit his GrandDads grave..i told him i was here for my Daddy's birthday after his passing...took a photo with me and had a chat if he was still playing out..he said yes.. getting ready for Woodstock 50 year anniversary...great engaging man..i never knew he lost his son...as now ive lost my own and ive given the same advice to his young son...love everyone as much as you can xx☘️
Zep was a band without equal, still is. The greatest frontman, drummer, guitarist and (oh my god) bassist-instrumentalist of all time in Jones. Plant has said Jones was Zep's secret weapon, and Jones gave us the music (esp. strings and arrangements) of Kashmir. What a band. My all-time fav. I am grateful to have been born to hear it growing up, on the radio, etc.
Met Robert in 1988, and knew I was talking with a special person, somone very present, taking it all in. His grace with a 16 year old me helped shape my person in ways I still feel. He gave it all, all the time and through it all. Hope he lives forever. I love that man.
I cannot imagine being in the public view while trying to go through grief like that. It would seem that there wouldn’t be enough privacy to undergo the healing process. I appreciate the interviewer’s respect for Mr. Plant in the way he was so delicate in asking the questions. I also greatly appreciate Robert Plant. He’s an admirable gentleman.
I have to say I envy you. But in a good way as I was to young yet to go. When I finally was able the devastating news of Bonzo was announced. Just heartbreaking 💔
I lost my 20 year old son to an accidental drowning in 2010. It’s a tragic experience you wish on no one to lose a child. And describing the pain is very difficult unless you’ve lived this nightmare. Robert Plant shared his feelings of a very personal and heartfelt loss magnificently. It’s not easy to talk about but he did so here eloquently. My condolences to him and all others affected by the loss of a child. Prayers..🙏
The genius of Stairway and Kashmir is that... even after i have heard it for decades, when i go back to them, they just scoop me out of my reality and put me in some high mystical clouds!
One of the greatest vocalists ever In the greatest band ever answering questions from the greatest interviewer ever! Oh, and mentioning some of the best Rock music ever! Led Zepplin FOREVER!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love my son dearly, and remember him at five. I cannot imagine the pain I would have felt if I lost my son. I respect Mr. Plant so much for his strength, and his dedication to never forgetting to love his son everyday...even in his death.
I love when interviews have respect "tell me what you can, and what you will about all my love" Mad respect for that to the interviewers. most would of acted like it's nothing.
Really? Most people don't know how many teenagers he got pregnant. I know someone who used to shelter him from angry parents looking for him with teen baby mamas. And he ain't the only one while he and Zep were on their LA tour leg

So very sad Robert and his family lost his beautiful boy Karac. It’s the worst loss inmho having lost my own first daughter at 2years 3months 38yrs ago and a bit in 1985, in just over 24hrs and 3 hospital visits. By the 2nd hospital I knew it was probably fatal. But I really identify with Robert and totally admire him for speaking of his loss, the pain the family went through. Also I’m a midlander who had a ex work mate Neil who was raised on Dial Lane, W.Brom! Love Roberts voice and vocals. 💖
I’m 69, had the fortune to see them at a small venue in 1969, in of all places but Schenectady NY. I was a teenager seeing my first real band. I was and will never be the same. Their music and influence on the music changed my life and so many others, inspiring budding musicians and singers to emulate what would turn out to be the greatest group of musicians to ever join together. To this day I still stop and listen to their music. I never tire of it, even though I’ve heard them thousands and thousands of times. 🙏❤️🤘✊🫶

@@maureenfuller2710 it was at the Areodrome! Not sure if you remember that you’re probably too young to know about it. I'm 51 and, I've loved Zeppelin since I was 11 (actually my older brother played a little Zeppelin on guitar so I knew a few songs when I was 8 or so) . Walking home with a friend from seeing the original Karate Kid in the theater he insisted I had to hear Stairway and, since it was a 30 minute walk he taught me all the lyrics and melody before I ever heard the song. Needless to say he wasn't able to do it justice so when I first heard it I flipped out! I'd been a fan of Rock bands like Rush and Def Leppard Pyromania has just been released and was an exciting album that I fell in love with but! Zeppelin; hearing Stairway for the first time, copying it and bringing it home! I remember by the time the guitar solo was 15 seconds in I was so energized I started spinning around while laying on the living room carpet with all the joy of an 11 yr old who was right in the moment and completely focused and happy! Before long I'd bought every album they'd released with the $ I'd made sweeping up at a dry cleaners. I'd be payed daily 5 bucks an hour for 3 hours and walk down to the supermarket that sold more than the average and buy a cassette tape and play it on my Sony Walkman (the first I pod really, what an incredible invention! Take your music with you without carrying around a boom box! You could do anything you'd normally do unhindered and in your own world!) ! My friends could ask me to name every song on every album and I could do it. I just fell in love with the band and it'd be 7 yrs before I saw them live (The Song Remains The Same not live live right?) and I was with friends and so memorized and stoned I vaguely remember hearing "Look at Stan, he's finally getting a chance to see his boy's" By then I was learning to play guitar too and of course Stairway was at the top of my list . As soon as my fingers would cooperate I bought a magazine that showed me how and learned it. I started soloing more influenced by Page than anyone. Not to say I ever got to be as good as him , just that he continues to influence my playing to this day! Enough outta me, I think it's a testament to how timeless Zeppelin is and it's super cool that at 25 you found em' !! I saw Robert live for his Now and Zen Tour back in I dunno 89 or 90 ? Closest I could get. John Bonham died and Zeppelin didn't even consider a replacement drummer because Bonham was irreplaceable so they disbanded. So many great songs, so different from each other. Let me know if you want a few recommendations, I'd be happy to oblige. Have fun ✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏
It's hard to wrap my head around the impact and influence both the song and the man have had on music as we know it today. It's an iconic song, performed by an iconic band, written by an iconic man. This and many Zeppelin songs have been on my playlist for 40 years, and will be for another 40 more.
The lyrics become more meaningful as I have become older. Amazing how a 23 yr old wrote them. Dan gets great guests, asks good questions and lets them fully express themselves without interruption. The anti-Howard Stern.
SAME here..resonates even more..Def don't even Consider that it's a 23 year old or any mature talk..it's like these people were different than today's youth you have to remind yourself the guys 23 singing that
robert plant is one of my favorite singer. i heard his name before when a radio DJ asked our local singer who is he's fav singer. it's only later after i heard him sing in some 70s video that i began to like his vocal. simply impeccable!
Led Zeppelin transcended all the genres and motifs and aesthetics they played in. Even now, we are stupefied by their songs. An appreciation of their music does not demand that you were a part of the 70s (though it my enhance it), but I'm glad they were a part of my life as a teenager -- and beyond.
It’s been 20 years for me since I lost my little girl, I accepted years ago that this is for life. It’s as painful now as it was the day she left us, sometimes time really has no meaning.
What a wonderful interviewer Dan is. Such empathy flowing from him and so graceful in letting his interveiwee speak without interruption. I was in tears when Robert spoke of the death of his boy and the impact it had on him. I feel sad when i see photos of him performing at concerts days before he received this devastating news, and what was to come. He was so young and had to grow up so quickly, as he said. There were wild times on that tour, with groupies, drugs, illness etc. All came to an abrupt end. My heart breaks for him. Dear Robert ❤
Im 21 I did not grow up with this music but I wish I did! I absolutely adore Robert Plant and I love Led Zeppelin. People will say Stairway is overplayed and it probably is; because of how INCREDIBLY BRILLIANT it is. I never get tired of it.
Stairway, or any song, is only overplayed if we let radio determine what's overplayed. Personally, I stopped listening to the radio frequently by the time I was in my early 20s in the late 90s. I control what's overplayed for me, and Stairway isn't overplayed. I come back to it every few months and I'm awestruck everytime, like I was when I first heard it on a rickety cassette my sister's boyfriend gave me as a kid.
Stairway to heaven was over played because of its brilliants. But it one of those songs that I can't remember anyone complaining about it. Everytime it came in the radio. You just sat and listened and listed like it was the first time everytime. Thats what epic songs do I know I've written some. . They take you on a spiritual journey through the soul. And stairway to heaven is a perfect example of one of those songs it's like not even music. It's like a storybook of mystical trippy dreams . A fantasy beyond the minds consciousness
All Of My Love is an incredibly powerful song. Whenever I hear the opening keyboard I immediately get emotional and tear up. Robert is the best to ever do it......singer/lyricist.
What can I say? STH is my anthem, I was born listening to this masterpiece and even though I've heard it thousands of times, I never get tired of it, I still get goosebumps especially when the solo starts. Kashmir is another masterpiece. All My Love is about love, and we see that love in Plant's emotion. The interviewer is so kind, he knows how to ask and he knows how to listen. Loved it ❤
My first memory of Stairway was I was at a high school dance and the song came on. A girl asked me to dance with her and it started off slow and it was nice holding her. Then, as you know the beat picks up. Man, I was so disappointed😂. Every time I hear Stairway to Heaven I think of that dance. Great song, great memories!
I think Robert Plant's solo albums over the last 40 + years are just as important and incredible as anything he did with Zeppelin. Those first three Plant albums are nothing short of a masterpiece.
❤ you can tell Plant has matured....and is uncomfortable talking about that period in his life and performing this song now as 70ish old man. He's grown and changed...as we all do!
I Don't get at all what's immature about it..and I'm 60 and consider myself a fairly astute bright individual..show those lyrics to any scholar and I highly doubt anyone would laugh at it..honestly don't really get it..maybe it's just acting humble..
I wholeheartedly agree with him when he said “love everythibg thing around you as much as you can” I lost my 19 year old son 5 years ago, and my experience is this; I don’t believe a parent ever gets over it, you just have to get through it on a daily basis. And some days are better than others.
I started listening to these guys from their beginning and still listen to their music today 50+ years later. Bless them all for all their beautiful music and contribution to a better world. Amoung the great rock vocalists he is still my favourite.
Robert is an amazing person, he blessed us with some amazing music with his bandmates. I've always thought them to be the greatest Rock & Roll band ever! Probably the most influential band ever as well. The part about losing his son, I just have no words! The fact that he could find it in his heart to love everything around him, that was nice...
I am so happy to see him still making public appearances. He looks great, always did. And to hear him talk about his and his wife's loss of their son really filled my heart with a swell of emotions, compassion for them even after all these years. I am so happy that they brought another son, and brother to their daughter, into this world. Not a replacement by any means, but part of a fresh start as they carried on with their lives. The loving finale of this interview is so beautiful.
I truly respect Robert plant for the grace he has always shown us his talent is beyond measure. Thank you Sir fir the joy you have given so many by sharing yourself with us!
That was terrible when he lost his son. I remember that I said that will be the end for a while, so I thought. That is a very hard thing to go through. Yes, our children are supposed to bury us. We don’t bury our children.😪 I must say, I think Led Zeppelin or all of their music. It really inspired me to play guitar stairway to heaven I said it in the other comment it’s one of the most beautiful pieces of music that was ever made thumbs up guys all the way for that one..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎸🎼🎶🎵🎸😁☮️
Jaysus! I can't believe (or actually I can) I started to get teary eyed and just about wept during the part about Karac. It's every parents' ultimate nightmare. Robert took the question very well.
Stairway and Kashmir are genius because people are in as much awe of them as they love them even after decades!! Just like every great piece of music in the last 500 years!!
It's so sweet how he praises Jimmy's musical arrangement and every other musicians competition who were also such young men desptie downplaying his own contribution!
There are very few songs I would want on a desert island... but this is certainly on my top 10. And to have lived this in my teenage years .....priceless...
One of my favourite exerpts of any interview ive seen of robert With genuine empathetic questioning from the interviewer it allowed robert to really give a much more direct answer than he would usually give to people who dont exactly know how to ask the question of stairway to heaven to robert plant
Love him, saw him recently at the Palladium London, and he paid real special attention a few times to one of his youngest fans who was sitting in the first row, my 12 year old son. Beautiful memory that will last for ever.

As a song it has stood the test of time. I was 15 (1971) and easily impressed by most things at that age. I'm happy to say that even today's kids are discovering the song and what it brings to their lives. This is impressive because the level of competition in communication, radio, video, internet UA-cam etc is far more intense in this day and age (although today's music is diluted and predictable). I still dig it out every now and again for a sneaky listen.
As time passes, the dues Ive paid... Stairway to Heaven has such a deep meaning. Robert Plant ❤ So sorry for the loss of his son. Never knew that song ALL of MY Love was written for his son 😢 Dan Rathers 'excellent interview'. He too has a rock+roll heart, or more- a Musical one.

As a fellow Christian, might I suggest that in your evangelistic efforts, you reach out with love to others rather than contention. It seems to me that’s what Christ would do.
I dunno I think a lot of the stars from the 60s and 70s have aged with class, including Robert plant.
I lost my son in 2017, and Plant is correct, I don’t know how you get through it. I thought I would die from the grief and pain, yet six years have passed and I’m still here, but oh how I miss my boy. He was my person, my heart.

Truly sorry for the loss of your beloved Darby.
I'm so sorry. No one should have to endure the loss of their child. There are no words or acts that could ever make that make sense. My 18 year old brother passed in 1966. I've seen first hand the grief of parents. God bless you.

Thank you for honoring his life with yours. You are a hero for enduring hell and keep moving forward

Dylan beats Plant as a poet, and I love Robert
Stairway is more powerful to me, now at 63 than it was at 23. So much appreciation in my life to Robert and Jimmy. So, so much appreciation for all of their music.
The thing I really like about this man, he was and is famous as all get out. But he doesn’t act like he has ultimate wisdom that the world needs to hear from him. A quality that seems to be missing from the “stars” today. Bravo Sir!
Yeah none of the guys from Zeppelin seem to be out preaching to anyone.....its kind of nice. lol
Honestly, the most gracefully articulate rock star of all time. There's nobody like him.

Hmmn, there's a bloke by the name of Jimmy Page! Erudite, never ever speaks bad of anyone, still carries his childlike love of music. Speaks clearly, minimally speaks. The epitome of grace, dignity, and a rock legend!
"Love everything around you as much as you can." Wise words that I need to follow more.
I love listening to Robert speak, it's like he's speaking poetry, he's very eloquent gentleman.
This man is and will always be my musical hero. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to appreciate just what an intelligent, wise, humble and soulful human being he is and my respect and admiration for him continues to grow.
He really is one of a kind. Legendary man
Well said. I feel exactly the same.
Remember that funny story where Led Zepplin rped that girl with a fish. Oh 70’s rock stars were scamps. Oh and the one where Jimmy Page had a 12yr old girlfriend when he was in his 20s. Lori Mattix… look into it. Sick men
So absolutely true meeting him is my goal❤
He can be kind of a dick, though, too - like about this song. He was pleased as punch with the the reaction it got (look at the way he performs it on Song Remains the Same), but after that he went off it and has consistently disrespected it in spite of the fact he knows that fans love it. And actually he has shown the same disrespect to the whole Zep catalogue, by the silly way he performs it, and to the band and fans by the way he has passively-aggressively resisted a reunion instead of openly just saying 'no'.

Dan is a great interviewer, never interrupts and allows his subjects to finish their thought
He is a tool. Fool
That’s not a great interviewer, that’s common sense
I agree. Dan Rather is a great interviewer.
My son was murdered 2 months ago, so I know exactly how Plant feels. The only difference is that my son was taken from us, it was no accident or sickness. I can certainly see why "All of My Love" means much more to him than Stairway.
Blessings to you.
So sorry to hear about your son.
Peace be with you
So sorry for your loss ❤
Only God can heal that much pain
Robert Plant is just an amazing human being period ❤
It doesn't matter if it's Stairway, Kashmir. Whole Lotta Love, Achilles Last Stand, Dazed, In my Time or, indeed, All of my Love - amongst many others. The legacy of what this band produced is there for all to see and is unrivalled imho...
Stairway to Heaven = one of, if not "Thee" most iconic Rock songs ever
Top two backmasked tunes for sure
A master class of interviewing. Ask the delicate question, get out of the way and let Robert talk. Well done Dan Rather.

@enoughcorruption.I was at four of the shows and on the floor. The shows were incredible,.

@@da324 ahhhhhhh, love that one, great song!
I love the way Robert thinks his answers out before he speaks

I only learned a few years ago that he lost a son many years ago. Karac would be 45 now. I have a tremendous amount of sympathy and compassion for parents who have lost children, the pain must be excruciating. He has done the right things, though. He doesn’t bury the memory, instead he writes songs about him. It won’t make the pain go away entirely, but it is far more healing than to lock his passing and the pain it causes away.
I just fell in love with the band and it'd be 7 yrs before I saw them live (The Song Remains The Same not live live right?) and I was with friends and so memorized and stoned I vaguely remember hearing "Look at Stan, he's finally getting a chance to see his boy's"
By then I was learning to play guitar too and of course Stairway was at the top of my list .
The final words should be your meaning of life "just love everything around you as much as you can" ❤️
It's hard to wrap my head around the impact and influence both the song and the man have had on music as we know it today. It's an iconic song, performed by an iconic band, written by an iconic man. This and many Zeppelin songs have been on my playlist for 40 years, and will be for another 40 more.

When I was in 8th grade my guitar teacher taught me how to play the whole song.
And when your 81 you’ll still listen to it and think how brilliant it is.
All Of My Love is an incredibly powerful song. Whenever I hear the opening keyboard I immediately get emotional and tear up. Robert is the best to ever do it......singer/lyricist.

@@stefaniabrazzi1358 cool, so you think oj simpson didn't kill his wife.
@@oscarinacan i don't think anything about OJSimpson, i didn't follow the court case, too hiped up for me.
@@stefaniabrazzi1358 but according to your logic you gotta trust the court.
What an incredibly beautiful humble soul.this man is. Big respect ❤
Such a gentleman. I don’t think the pain of loosing one’s child ever goes away.
Too bad the interview was presented by an inveterate liar and anti-American Leftist like Dan "Pinocchio" Rather.
I heard it never goes away, and with the passage of time, you just learn to tolerate it😪
@@forestsprite5914 Same can be said of ANYONE that you lose (eg. parent, uncle, friend, etc.).........................I speak from experience.
Jaysus! I can't believe (or actually I can) I started to get teary eyed and just about wept during the part about Karac. It's every parents' ultimate nightmare. Robert took the question very well.
So creative yet doesn’t appear to be so tortured like a lot of artists with such immense talent. We are so lucky to still hav3 him with us.
Stairway and Kashmir are genius because people are in as much awe of them as they love them even after decades!! Just like every great piece of music in the last 500 years!!
"... just love everything around you as much as you can." Sage words from Robert Plant ❤
Stairway is my favorite Led Zeppelin song. I have much respect and appreciation for Robert Plant and his music.
It's so sweet how he praises Jimmy's musical arrangement and every other musicians competition who were also such young men desptie downplaying his own contribution!
There are very few songs I would want on a desert island... but this is certainly on my top 10. And to have lived this in my teenage years .....priceless...
One of my favourite exerpts of any interview ive seen of robert
With genuine empathetic questioning from the interviewer it allowed robert to really give a much more direct answer than he would usually give to people who dont exactly know how to ask the question of stairway to heaven to robert plant
That’s Rock n Roll Royalty folks! Nobody bigger then him in Rock!
JIMMY! John Paul George Ringo.
Love him, saw him recently at the Palladium London, and he paid real special attention a few times to one of his youngest fans who was sitting in the first row, my 12 year old son. Beautiful memory that will last for ever.
PRICELESS … ❤ so human and so humble … 👏🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
I lost a child......it never goes away. God bless you Robert xxxx
ROBERT PLANT FOREVER! LONG LIVE ROBERT PLANT!
Here Here !!!
We are all blessed with the Poet, Laureate that is Robert Plant. And what is the greatest of the gifts is those who were alive at that time.We hold the memory of the excitement that comes with it,at that time.Just,so cool.Looking forward to The Mighty Zeppelins new Album.
♡♡♡ Robert Plant ,a beautiful ,thought provoking gentle-man ♡♡♡God 🙌 Bless you and your family♡♡♡
As time passes, the dues Ive paid... Stairway to Heaven has such a deep meaning.
Robert Plant ❤ So sorry for the loss of his son. Never knew that song ALL of MY Love was written for his son 😢
Dan Rathers 'excellent interview'. He too has a rock+roll heart, or more- a Musical one.
the lyric "He is a feather in the wind" didn't clue you in?
@@PaulFormentos I had lost my husband, he was murdered when I was 21. I was out of touch with reality for a LONG time myself. So no, I didn't even remember RP losing his son. Trauma messes with my memory. (Edit) As Robert even says himself "I can't imagine how people get through it". Each death is Personal. And everyone grieves in different ways. For me personally- I lost my mind. My memories are blank, having gaps inbetween- to this day.🥀
