    Definitely much bright up close. Looks like you've lost a lot of distance. Inside being able to see further down the road.

    Nice video man just ordered some for my 18 Silverado had a question I’m having trouble finding matching LEDs on the website can you possibly find a link for me I’ve been looking hard and can’t seem to find LED fog lights for the truck thanks 🙏🏼

    • @blakebarnett2
      @blakebarnett2  4 роки тому +1

      I dont believe they have anything for the fogs. if you got the leds lights to replace the HIDs from factory it’s gonna be a pretty close match as is...

    Nice! You went from factory HID’s right like the ones that come on the LT trim?
    How are these LED’s holding up?
    I’m debating between these and the Morimoto D5S

      I had the same question. The same bulb size is used I believe for the 2016-2018 sierras as they are D5S. Will these not fit? Looking to put led in mine as my factory bulbs are starting to get dim

    Do you have any issues with people flashing their brights at you? It looks like the cutoff is still really good.

    How come on my 2017 Silverado ltz 1500 2wd I can’t take my back cover to get to the bulb off it’s molded with the whole headlight? Also what size of bulb did u use

    • @blakebarnett2
      @blakebarnett2  4 роки тому +3

      Lifted2014Silverado the LTZ trim comes with factory LEDS can’t be changed out I don’t think. My truck a LT has factory HID I replaced them with D5S led bulbs from lasfit.

    How have these been doing so far any issues?

  • @colscott5016
    @colscott5016 3 роки тому

    After installing some LASFIT D5S LED headlight bulbs onto my 2017 Silverado, I immediately started having issues. The truck didn’t start on the first try the next morning and soon after I started receiving error codes. At lower speeds, the truck would kind of “stutter” and sound as if it would shut off. It only actually shut off once tho when I was going in reverse. After a couple of days, I switched my headlights back to the OEM ones but the problems still persisted. After a couple of trips to the dealership, they came to the conclusion that it was a bad battery wire harness. Replacing it fixed the issue but I’m still not satisfied with the dim look of the OEM HIDS. LASFIT sent me a new pair of the bulbs but I’m afraid to try them again. Any thoughts or tips?

    • @blakebarnett2
      @blakebarnett2  3 роки тому +1

      I don’t see how the led bulbs cause any of this. I would say stick them back in lol. Maybe that harness just so happened to crap out the same time u put the bulbs in

      @@blakebarnett2 they didn't cause any issues. This is the second video with the same exact post, if anything it was purely coincidence.

    • @blakebarnett2

      Never caused any issues for me.

    • @colscott5016
      @colscott5016 3 роки тому

      @@blakebarnett2 just an update. I contacted LASFIT and they sent me another set of bulbs. What I forgot to mention in my original comment was that I had also installed a set of their LED blinker bulbs with the resistors. So far I’m not having issues with the second set of D5S bulbs, next best guess would be the LED blinkers were the problem.

    why would u want to replace these with leds? the projector housings are made for the HIDs and will perform better

    • @blakebarnett2
      @blakebarnett2  4 роки тому +1

      Jake i dont know about perform better. Because the led are brighter then the stock hid. The video don’t do it justice as much as seeing them in action in person they are pretty awesome.

    • @kevinv2582

      I asked them the same thing for.my 2019 gmc and basically they answered but didn't really know why these wouldn't fit the gmc just that they haven't came out with ones for gmc sierra. Not very knowledgeable on fitment or why
