Hi TGV, at 67 retired and in dubious health, after years of suits and Levi's, about a year ago I bought some Nike trainers for the old feet and some Nike sportswear purely for comfort and durability. I ruined the look today with a green Seiko Alpinist but really it's for comfort more than style I wear them. However I try never to look like a dog's breakfast. I thought this presentation of yours would disappoint me. It didn't. Thank you.

I’ve found Under Armour to be good quality and good value. Some of their offerings overdo the branding, but they have plenty of tasteful options to choose from. I especially like their cold weather gear.

Great to see you returning to these kind of videos. Love that Fila tracksuit of yours. I practically lived in tracksuits when I was at University (a long time ago now!) and even now I love them for comfort. I tend to gravitate towards Puma and Adidas although I recently bought a very fetching blue and lemon Uhlsport tracksuit top that's currently my favourite. Love your watch videos, but also love your fashion/consumer advice videos and look forward to seeing you out and about when the weather gets better. O&U sir 👍

I had Adidas, Pumas, Kappa, Londsdale, Coopers, Nike... you name it, but never Fila.
My partner brought me a Fila set at home.
Didn't like it sat in the closet forever.
One day was out of options and put it on.
Since than 90% of my tracksuit inventory is Fila.
Comfort, classic looks, style. All of it.
I've had my Fila for over 2 years now, always kept clean. Soon I'll be washing it for the first time since it's been stored a long time.

Its Fila, Adidas and Champion for me and dare a I say it...a smart watch to track my cals and steps. Afterwards when I change I switch to one of my other mechanical or quartz watches.

Haha !!! I've been an athlete my entire life and when I run in the morning as well as go to the gym , I could care less what I look like . Extremely high quality running shoes are a must . As for the rest , old comfy sweat shirts and pants will do . The stuff gets soaked with sweat so what's the point ? When I'm done I take off my GShok , I hit the shower , get dressed and grab a Rolex, Tudor, or any of a few dozen watches in my collection, depending on what the day holds for me . That's how my style, ( or lack there of) goes as far as workout clothes.
Man TGV never misses with the content. I recently fell in love with tracksuits after seeing the movie "The Gentlemen". You have to make sure that you're not wearing a tracksuit that will date you in age, and that you're not wearing a gym style shoe with an upscale tracksuit. Great stuff as always, governor 👊

@The Urban Gentry The Gentleman has become a Guy Ritchie classic, a true modern gangster film and the tracksuits are all available still... well worth looking at the tracksuits alone.. I own the one Colin Farrell wears and always get compliments on it.
My go to is the Adidas Beckenbauer Tracksuit. I have 2 pairs, one in Burgundy and the other in black. It's got that cool 80s style and the pants are perfectly tapered.
Man, those Boss tracksuits really resonate with me. Something about them just does it.

When i moved to the west coast from the midwest, i was disappointed that i could never wear my overcoats and other winter gear. I always looked good in the winter. I am eyeing tracksuits now and this video gives me many ideas, thank you!
I'm not sure if we wear track suits here, either. I also wish I could wear my overcoats more, the weather definitely is not as cold as it used to be so I almost never wear anything heavier than a light jacket.
Shiny royal purple velour, big gold Rolex and white sneakers. The only outfit you’ll ever need! Just kidding, I have a few. So comfortable.
This was a great video. The only thing I’d request in the future is maybe a mention of where some of the items are made. Hard to do sometimes but always good to try to avoid sweatshop/child labor made products IF possible.
I don’t think tracksuits were designed for working out, I think they were originally made to keep runners warm before the run and taken off before, could be wrong tho.

Good evening TGV! Great to hear that the Dan Henry Maverick and the customer support turned out in a postive way for you. The Maverick is a great pairing with the Adidas track suit. Looking at my wardrobe, most of my athletic wear comes to Adidas and so my track suits are mostly Adidas. But Fila is also great to wear in colder weather. Have a great evening!
Those boxraw tracksuits were a surprise. Definitely not a brand I'd considered but I love it nonetheless. I like how you carefully curate every purchase you make. Finding the ultimate quality and value for money in each range. TGV the legend
Imo you can't beat a Nike Club tracksuit for lounging around the house, for actual sports use i tend to prefer Adidas.

The Urban Gentry Of course I'll tell you what happened. Five years ago the air chamber of my running shoes cracked and they were about 6 months old. Take it as something that can happen, without more. A year and a half later, running the Madrid marathon, the same thing happened to me and the bad thing is that it happened to me at kilometre 25, when I still had 17 to go. The difference when I stepped with cushioning and without it was remarkable and it would causa an injury, but I was lucky , I reached the finish line and nothing happened to me. Since that day , I never bought Nike again. I have used Adidas, Asics, Saucony and nothing like this has ever happened to me. For the rest, I think Nike is a top brand and would never criticise its history and quality, in fact, regarding the clothes, I wear them and I have not had any issues.

@@nachovalenti Don't buy the Air models if you don't trust them. You can instead choose the Waffle Racer, Waffle Trainer, Internationalist, and Cortez. Hard to think of a non-Air Nike model. Most of my models are Airs. Also try out New Balance, only two of their models have air cells in them as far as I know (the fashion models).

My tracksuit fashion advice is: a) At the track or gym, on the court or pitch, they're great. b) At home, if you must. c) Put it away and get dressed when you go out.
N.B.: The importance of c increases if you are a single male looking to attract a female partner. Attached males may also want to consider if they want to keep their partner.

I have a Puma T7 tracksuit. Find it a real icon with the stripes narrowing down
I hope they remove the taper on the stripes like they were back in the day. I don't buy the T7 pants because they're skinny fit, whereas the T7 jacket is between full & slim fit. I wear the T7 and Firebird suits. Been wearing the Firebird since I was 10 and it gives me that "top of the world" feeling every time.

I'm not a track suit person, never have been, I wear tracksuit bottoms with a T-Shirt working out that's about it. As a teen, I used to wear Trainers, jeans with a black Adidas Firebird Tracksuit top zip-up as a light jacket, my preferred brand as a teen was Adidas, now it's more Under Amour, bottoms, shorts, Tee and the footwear brands, indoor workout Black Adidas suede Campus and for jogging, Black and Grey Nike AirMax90. Note, I haven't jogged out side for over 2 years, mostly done on a in door running machine these days. Pretty much the Airmax haven't touched my feet in years. I do have a ancient pair of Nike Tracksuit bottoms, must be 20+ years old, the fit is perfect which I pack Camping/Hiking as sleep wear, back-up trousers or as PJ's in the winter as well as wearing working out, they just refuse to die or wear out and still look new.
What is the model of Fila you had on, with the different colour stripes on the shoulders?

My favourite "tracksuit watch" for around the house is a tiny Casio LA670 on a Eulit Air-Look Perlon strap in grey (really black and white) that matches my grey cardigan. Minimum weight, maximum usefulness and maximum comfort.

Definitely going to have to try out a boxraw now. My go to is not a traditional tracksuit but a matching or coordinated 1/4 or 1/2 zip with track pants. Underarmour usually. My wife refers to it as the “modern tracksuit”. I think it still looks sharp. The bonus is that I feel a 1/4 zip goes with jeans a little better at least for me than a traditional track jacket so I can wear them a lot.

My favourite is also Hugo Boss, but you can find good quality if you get a tracksuit from All Saints or Kent&Curwen

WOW, I have not heard that names since I was a teenager. I hardly see it here in the US, but it was all the rage when I was a kid in England. I remember the quality being great, but as for now, I can not speak for them.
