Had exact same problem (Series 2, SS model). used the water trick several times but instructions suggest rotating/pushing in crown while water is running over the crown area. I had water dropping on the crown from all quadrants around the crown. Worked! The pusher for the crown also went from a very dull "click" to a snappier sound so things DID improve. I use the watch when exercising so I'll consider it routine maintenance to perform this water treatment at least weekly.
My series 3 got water damage while cycling in moderate rain. After the damage, the watch overheat while connecting to charger and shows temperature warning logo and battery didn't charge at all.
Had the same issue, water didn’t work until I submerged it in hot water. Had to click it a little harder than I would think I should, but being aggressive worked as it got whatever was in the way, out of the way
Quite ironically same thing happened to mine 2 days ago, ECG still works and there’s still some life with the crown when u turn it with the watch off, the screen seems to light up barely then the crown proceeds to become unresponsive again, did apple ever replace yours?
Same problem here! It didn't work for me! This is frustrating ... even Apple's technical assistance in my country advised me to buy a new one !! Come on, this is such a expensive watch and I ended up losing some functions of the watch once the digital crown stopped working !!
@@HeythereDavehere did you still have the warranty ? because I am having the same problem but my warranty just expired in September and now they want me to pay $378.19 to have a look at and and try to fix it....
Wait, is this serious or a prank? I’m gonna try it if it actually works. I’m always really annoyed that Apple refuses to address simple problems like these.
I want to know too! Apple ended up swapping mine for a new one when the water trick didn’t work, but curious about alcohol... seems like it might work... works on water in your ears 😂 💦
Where you ever able to fix the Apple Watch? I am having the same problem.

Waiting for the story continuation. I have the same case.

I have the same problem, nothing seems to work

I scheduled an appointment at the Apple store and took it in (Vlog 008) and they say it will be fixed and back to me in 3-5 days.
This exact same thing is happening to my series 4, did you ever get it fixed?
Did you ever resolve this??
@@kunchography3725 yes I bought a new Apple Watch lmao
Same problem. Went to the store and they told me that apple cannot repair hardware and the only option is to buy a new watch... Very disappointed
Same thing with me :((
Just use the waterproof lock from the control center
It fixed mine
Nice bathroom!❤ going to try water trick from my lesser faucet than yours. 😂

What happen to your watch please
Love the word play :) Saga to fix the broken crown hahaha
I like your water tap :)
I guess a trip to the store is needed
Unfortunately, yes. Should be fixed in 3-5 days.
I am forced to assume this is a prank and all the comments saying it works are a prank
It worked!!! Than k you!!
Any update on digital crown?
Well, the water trick did not work for me. But the Apple store was great and gave me a brand new watch!
@@HeythereDavehere The same happen to me, thanks
Happened to mine with series 3. Home button isn't working now after spending few hours at the pool.
Same issue on my Series 2. Never went swimming with it but crown doesn't work. Warranty just expired. Apple store told me I'd have to buy a new watch

Where is No. 8 lol
It launched a little late. Both 8 and 9 are up now!
I can’t find those
A very big thanks to everyone who gave recommendations on *Jacksonlucastech_* on *IG* he’s truly the best
It works. I did the same thing but instead I used 90% alcohol rather than water. And that fixed it.
