    I got a pair for myself and they were a good fit in my outer ear, but the stem part with the universal tip that goes into your ear canal was pretty uncomfortable. I wanted to return mine to Wavs and just save up a little more for some lower end Alcairs. Wavs offered to try to fix them but I didn’t feel like waiting that long. I ended up sanding down the stem part because it was fairly thick, and I put some tips from my Shures on them. Now they’re much more comfortable and the seal is much better. Hope this helps!

      @@howswift37 I did the scan but when I finally received them, the fit was ridiculously way off on one ear. The company was nice and responded quickly. They even sent molds after I sent in a second scan, but I never actually got them. I ended up returning the in-ears and getting a full refund. Honestly the sound quality even with dual drivers was no better than the Shure SE215s which is why I also opted for the refund. It just wasn't worth it in my opinion. I would say invest a bit more and go for 64Audio or Ultimate Ears.

    IEMs. Great topic that doesn't get much play in worship channels (even though the poorly reseached vids get lots of views). Good info could be a huge service to worship ministries. Hard to sift through hype and shilling in headphone enthusiast channels, but there are great options out there at reasonable prices.

    Thank you so much for this in-depth tutorial on this product. I play drums in a Contemporary Christian Worship band for my church. I play a drum kit with cymbals (nothing electric) in a fully enclosed circular drum capsule. The in-ear monitors I currently use have three balanced drivers. They do a good job at blocking out the drums and cymbals in my capsule and still make it easy for me to hear the vocalists and musicians. Perhaps this product would be better suited for the vocalists and the other musicians on the team. I have one question: Would you know if a Wavs custom molded in-ear would be efficient enough to block out the ambient drums and cymbals in my enclosed capsule? It is extremely important that I'm able to hear the other members of the worship team.

    My experience with these has been pretty disappointing if I'm honest. The app-based capture is super cool and easy, the price is obviously great. When my pair arrived, the right one had a loose component, which they replaced for free and quickly. However, they're basically unusable for me on Sunday mornings. If I push them past 40 percent on my pack, the highs are almost unbearable. I don't look for a ton of bass in my mix to begin with, but they just don't sound good. I was using KZ AS12s and have alternated between them the last two weeks, hoping something would shift, but the AS12s are superior by a mile. Service is great, concept is great, product doesn't measure up. I'll use them at low volumes in the airport, so it won't be a total waste!

    Hi Brian great video again brother, I have a question which is seriously disturbing me, I play in a worship band at local church, we are getting ready to open again and currently in rehearsals, the worship leader I have discovered has fallen into serious sexual sin,bordering on illegal so I have relayed the issue to my pastor after he ignored me reaching out and we have to carry on regardless as he is in repentance, why do i feel uncomfortable with him now and is there any advise you can give me to help move forward, God bless

    • @dannypolanco6993
      @dannypolanco6993 4 роки тому +1

      Be okay with uncomfortable. Have actual good conversations with him because the reality is that he's just as human as the rest of us are and any role in any ministry doesn't mean you're gonna be "perfect". The reality is that God cares more about being in the uncomfortable places in people's lives whether it's personal trauma, addiction, or attitude. It was never about looking "Good" in ministry whatsoever, it's more about your relationship with GOD and actually be willing to Walk out that journey. The reality is my church recently lost our pastor to pornography and I was really not surprised. Half of our congregation left the church from that drama and it's scary how we can tend to make a pastor "their source of God's word" rather than the bible itself.
      My advice is to have a one-on-one talk about whatever he's going through. Ask him how often he's involved or acted out and just be blatantly honest too. We never know how deep a person's roots go.

    I got mine about a week and a half ago. They are definitely not something you would use for music listening because the treble is pretty strong, and they're otherwise too flat. The instrument separation is fantastic though. After using the Shure 215s for so long, it was amazing to actually be able to individually separate out each instrument and hear things with great clarity. Definitely impressive in that regard. For IEMs they're great. No one should buy them for the musical listening experience. They simply aren't capable of any "punch."
    The wires they ship them with are awful. Like...truly bottom of the barrel cheap & bad. I took the wires off my Shure 215s and they're compatible, and were MUCH better.
    Save your money on the bluetooth adapter unless you have an old pair of Shures or something to stick on it. You won't want to listen to music with these things, bluetooth or otherwise.
    Bottom line: Great IEMs at a great price (if you actually use them as IEMs), but expect to buy better wires, and don't expect to have a great music listening experience because the EQ is WAY off for a good listening experience.

  • @AmbroseLiu

    I got a pair of WAVS dual driver IEMs and found them to be harsh and louder in the high mid-range and less full at the bottom. I compared them to 2 other IEMs, 1 semi-openback pair of monitoring headphones, a pair of studio monitors, and a PA speaker. They all sound similar and the WAVS are noticeably not as flat. I contacted them and they were super quick to respond and offer a replacement pair. However, the new pair have the exact same issue. Did you notice this at all or is it just me? I even used a noise spectrum app and found there to be a spike in the 4K-5K range.
    Especially for electric guitar, it makes a lot of the drives sound really clear, distinct, harsh, and bright to the point where it almost hurts to listen to.

    Hey guys, so I've bought the dual driver version of these and tried them vs my KZ 4 driver in-ears. In terms of fit they are fantastic but in terms of sound its not that great. The drivers lean more towards the highs, don't feel balanced and vocals often feel muffled.I think if you're someone who's looking to get a decent pair of in ears just to get by, these are solid. But for those who want a more in depth sound from their in-ears this is not the way. I understand Dual drivers is not comparable to 4 drivers, but my inexpensive KZs were sonically more balanced, more accurate, and had more clarity. One thing Wavs does amazingly though is the customer service. These guys are super kind and really willing to work with you on any issues. Great company in my opinion.

    • @KJMathew45
      @KJMathew45 3 роки тому

      3 Key yeah def. I completely understand. But my point is, yes you are paying that $150 price for the mold, but if a pair of $50 in ears can sound that much better, I don’t think it’s greatest investment. Kz has 8 driver in ears at the $130-140 price range. And 6 drivers at the $60 range. The isolation on them are solid enough where you won’t have problems, and as a drummer I can attest to that. Not here to bash Wavs at all. I think they’re a young a company with a LOT of potential. I’m excited to see where they go. But just based on my experience, you can get an overall better experience sonically, for a much cheaper price.

    So it is not fully custom given it has a compliance tip on the end. Better than airpods not a full monitor.

    After watching this review, I purchased a pair. I just received them and, unfortunately, wasn't pleased. The fit wasn't as good as I had hoped. In fact, neither the fit or the sound was as good as my KZ ZS10 Pros, which cost less than $50 on Amazon right now.

      Hi Gunnar, Sorry your fit was off. We have a 30 day policy and would love to refit you. Maybe just need to make a few new scans. Also, you should give our 10mm drivers a try if you would like more low end. Thanks for trying us out!

    So disappointed, saying here they were like the Shure 215s got me to order the single drivers to check these out since I'm ok with the 215s. Not even close, guessing this is a paid or free product endorsement and super bummed these are not even near that sound. Not willing to try their dual/triple drivers now based on this. Also do not fit right at all but no reason to bring it up because they sound like an AM radio to me.

    Just received my pair. The fit on one side was pretty good, but the other side barely fit unless I shoved it in, and it hurt my ear after a minute when I did. I would ask them to make an adjustment to the molding, I don't blame them for the problem, it might've just been a couple of bad scans, but audio wise, my 15 dollar monitors had more clarity than these, so I'm just gonna get a refund. The Bluetooth audio cable also would not come off of the monitors. I had to use needle nose pliers to take off the cable, and the connectors were completely broken afterwards. I didn’t get the Bluetooth upgrade, but the monitors are over 100 dollars, I didn't expect it to break that easily. Seems like a very cool product, and I hope that other people have better experiences than I did. But I’m not going to go this route again, don’t want to wait another 3 weeks out of risk for another bad pair. I would also recommend that they spend a little bit more time on the logo they put on the case they provide for the monitors. It appears laser cut, but the cut was really messy. I know its a new company, but they don't advertise it as a startup so I would just recommend spending more time on little details like that to seem more professional. I will say though, that customer service was great, they were very quick to respond, and they were very kind over email!

    I just tried to use the app and I have had no luck getting a good scan. Once again the hype doesn’t match the reality. I used an iPhone X.

      Just takes a bit of practice to know where you're actually pointing the camera. I was able to get a pretty good scan after a few tries 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Guys I don’t recommend them. I personally got them and I honestly say my se215 sound better. Don’t waste your money. The seal isn’t as good either.

      The seal is going to be the most important thing to getting the best sound quality.
      They offered to re-shape mine if the seal wasn’t perfect - have you reached out to them to see if they’ll tweak them to get a better mold?

    Apple only, wow! That's leaving a huge portion of the market out in the cold. For those saying, "Just borrow someone's phone." 1st: I don't know anyone that has an iPhone X or 11, 2nd: Even if I did, how am I supposed to borrow a phone in the middle of a pandemic?
    Its a cool gimmick, but a bit short sighted.
