I wonder with Cissnei, I get the feeling that if we see her in clouds timeline we will encounter her at gongaga staying with Zacks parents. Remake includes a LOT from the Japanese only released mobile game Before Crisis (including in the novel Traces of Two Orgins where we see events leading up to the nieblheim incedent from Tifas perspective, she encountered the player Turk (who basically has been cannonized as Shuriken aka Cissnei)) Knowing this it means that the entire plotline with Veld and Elfe is probably still canon where the majority of the Turks faked their own deaths during the battle against Zirconiade (quick summary Veld the leader of the Turks in the past had relayed the coordinates for an artillery strike, the coordinates were misheard and landed in the middle of Kalm, the same place his family lived. He believed his family died and while he mourned continue working for Shinra, turns out his daughter (her name is Felicia but she forgot it and went by Elfe) survived but suffered Amenisa and was discovered and taken in by Avalance (not Barrets Avalance think of the Avalance that you encounter in remake that Barrets group consistently refer to as Command) Elfe had a broken summon materia implanted in her body basically making her as strong as a summon herself and as the years went on she rose to the postion of leadership in Avalance. This cumulated in the fight at Corel reactor where Veld during the fighting came across Elfe and her seeing him jogged her memory making her remeber him. Veld abandons Shinra to be with his daughter but the President of Shinra put an active assassination order on Veld, the Turks kinda began dragging their feet whenever Veld was spotted and it got to a point that when Elfe and Veld was captured Tseng was ordered to execute them or have the entire Turks “purged” Tseng however tricked the president and used Rubber bullets for the execution allowing them to live. The remainder of the Turks fought the repaired summon that was extracted from Elfes body Zirconiade. Knowing the precarious postion the Turks were in the majority of them decided to fake their deaths in the fight, 11 of the Turks faked their deaths including Shuriken (aka Cissnei) reducing the Turks to only being Reno rude and Tseng
@@neutralprune to be fair I don’t know how much of this is still canon, with Barrets cell of Avalance being considered “too extreme” it makes me wonder what is and isn’t still canon, because Avalance are 110% villians in before crisis, kidnapping, torture, brainwashing, turning their soldiers into living corpses in an attempt to make their own version of SOLDIER called Ravens, being responsible for the attack on the Corel reactor that led to Corel being caught in the cross fire of Shinra and Avalance, oh and the leader of Avalance wanted to basically kill all of humanity to have everyone return to the lifestream and basically have the planet “try again” with a race that would be better stewards of the planet (or just ones who weren’t destroying it)
bro I NEEEEEED to see tseng in battle. we've seen literally all the turks fight but him. (well we saw him use a pistol in cc and bc but still). i really hope they expand on tseng's character too. he is so damn interesting. loved seeing him and zack's friendship in cc. no matter what they do with zack though i'm just so damn happy to see him alive. anyways... ME? GONGAGA
What if Zack is in the normal timeline but he and the Cloud he carries are both a jenova copy? They still keep their memories and maybe cloud would escapce Zack somehow and go with Sephiroth in the reunion. "Normal" Cloud fighting "Jenova" Cloud and seeing him figh against a part of him that is based his true self would be something sick
I thought about replaying the remake last night. I haven't played the new crisis core but I don't plan to. Thank you for reminding me why I hated the remake. I mean no disrespect to you I'm glad you reminded me so I didn't waste my time

The story does not change, it's just a better version. Combat is improved and overall quality of life.
