Just finished brake job on 325i including calipers. Great video tutorial. You lay everything out step by step including extra "how to tips" such as using various lubricants and cleaners to make brake parts install and work smoothly. Mine worked like a charm... One small detail in case nobody mentioned it....Those mount bolts are 18mm, at least on my BMW and it's pretty factory. Thanks again!
I love your videos buddy, seriously mate they are awesome. Just watched this one and already used the window actuator one (which was head and shoulders better than the other videos out there) so thank you for the quality content. I can actually afford to own a BMW as I can work on it myself with your videos. Huge thank you.
Good Evening . Thank you for the video. I have a 2006 BMW E90 316i very well maintained with 90,000 km. The front ventilated discs from the factory were (22.00) mm thick. My question is: how many mm is the minimum thickness of the disks that I have to change them? (how much is their wear limit?). Thank you.
I got sent the wrong disks Iv the e91 disks and pads. But Iv a e82 120d He told me it’s the same it will fit all I have to do is cut the pad clips that fit into the pistons
One was wrapped. Also yes miles for sure. You can also see the deep grooved in the rotor. And you can look up the thickness of the caliper spec. And take some cheap caliper measuring tool and check yourself!! Look up caliper measuring tool on google and you'll see what took I'm talking about! And other questions leave then here!
@@sathwickborugadda4744 absolutely my friend. Should be less than one mm in loss! And more than one mm thinner than factory spec you should look into replacing them!
Don’t buy the brake compressor tool he recommend. If you have a 335i the caliper is different and that tool will not work. I made the mistake by buying it.

I don't have a beemer nor do I plan on doing any brakes but I still watched the entire thing. Great vid!
Haha well brake jobs are all very similar. So after this video you can probably do a brake job on many cars!
me too man..dont think I will ever be rich enough to own a bmw my whole life..
@@ColinEu that's not true! They are reasonably cheap!
Cars are bimmers and motorcycles are beamers.
@@ColinEu I bought my bimmer for $19K with 70K miles. Cheaper than a Corolla!

Just subbed! By far the most useful Chanel I’ve watched! Keep up the great work!
Awesome video man!!
Hey great video. Can you please link the rotors you put on?
Does yours not have the wear sensors?

My bolt for my rotor is stripped and rusted out from my previous owner. What is the next solution to remove the rotor?
Hey, content creator, are they 16mm bolts though????
is replacing Brake Rotor and pads similar in other cars?
Yes sir. Same thing. Alot of cars don't even have a screw holding the rotor in place. Most of the time is just the wheel holding the rotor to the hub!
How long should this take to do?
Great video 👍
Is it not necessary to bleed the line while compressing?
No reason since it is a closed system, or your brake lines are leaking but that is a other problem.
Is 25lbs normal for new brake rotors?
Are this rotors maybe lighter by weight, than stock ? I own e90 330i.
If i change the rotor ahould i also change the pads?
yes… Make sure you put new Ceramic brake pads. They wear out less and even produce less dust…
7:59 there’s a rust on guide pin. Next time change it too. ☺️
Hahah Already ordered one from fcp. I wasent about to wait a week to make the video tho. Someone didn't grease them up too well before me.

Got three of them out! Forth one coming soon!

Nonsense in the comment section. Now you see it.
