Thank you so much for posting. As a teenager I was a massive Eddie fan, now I’m in my 60s you have reminded me how absolutely brilliant he was, and how cool. His musics going to blaring out in my car again. Keep on rocking !
Il était voué à être un géant du rock'n'roll superbe magnifique le vrai rockeur look esprit et coolll avec sont pote gêne vincent ouai des rock'n'roll man et puis l accident de taxi bordel . Eddy cochran est éternel et intemporel.
People say Eddie initiated Elvis. No question he was influenced by Elvis. But Elvis really didn’t sing rock n roll. Yeah they call him the King. But he was really a gospel singer who imitated Bing Crosby. Buh, buh, buh, buh. He loved the Jordanaires to back him up. Gospel group.
In his own way, as good as, certainly; he had a great image, a very distinctive rock n roll voice, and he was a gifted guitarist who was always keen to learn new styles. A session player on many records of the time. And of course, he wrote songs.
Why the hostility? .... Elvis and Eddie both cemented their places in Rock 'n' Roll immortality . I'm a fan of both..... each had different qualities ... Elvis stands alone ....but you can't take away Eddies contribution . Eddie could Sing ..he had his own style No he couldn't sing as well as Elvis ..not many could..but he was able to write and perform his own Music , he played a Mean guitar ...None of which Elvis could do . As i said ...comparing Apples with Oranges .. Pointless! Just don't understand the disrespect for a guy who you never met or knew .... as for Eddie in the U.K ....Well with Americans ..they never really appreciate what they have in their own back yard ...and Rock 'n ' Roll in it's original form was coming to an End...and look at the amount of other stars he had to compete with .....styles were changing and the American Publics tastes were also changing ...Eddie like Buddy would probably have gone onto write and produce for others ..but they never got the chance . the U.K and most of Europe was always playing catchup with the U.S and it's music Until the British invasion turned it on it's head... There were still so many fans of Ed's in Europe ...made sense to go where the money was at the time ..unfortunately we will never truly know how Ed would have progressed in the music industry ... But be respectful of someone who actually has a place in Music History ...whether you like them or not .

Better than Elvis..........

I thought it was GTO's ending
Was this his fiance in the video?
Yes Sharon sheeley.
She was with him in the car accident that killed him .
@@leeetchells609 Also buried next to him many years later.
Love Eddie. But this song stinks
Eddie Cochran couldn't sing a lick. He was just an Elvis wannabe who had to move to England because he couldn't sell anything in the states.
Ha ha aren't you confusing him with Gene Vincent?
Eddie was in fact a brilliant guitarist.
Anyway nice trolling 😅
@@leeetchells609 How many top 10 hits did he have? Why did he have to bolt to England if he was having so much success in the states?
best guitar player of the 50 s
@@sorshiaemms5959 Yeah he was better than Scotty Moore for sure
