Why 2 turns? Only 1 in a figure of 8 knot!
I use 2 turns as it has always served me extremely well when tying loops for match Fishing, I personally can not recall ever having a loop slip using this method. I have also seen this endorsed by some top anglers online. Hopefully this helps clear up the reasons behind the method.
@JP Match Fishing I have seen them(different articles)and can't understand why they do 2 runs
It makes the knot bulkier.
I have only used 1 turn...absolutely no problem! Try it
