the Level of Discussion , Both questions and Answers, gives a lot of insight directly by the representatives......Thanks for Bringing such a nice concept for knowledge and clarity to the Citizens!! Marblous job Nitin SIR
Excellent strategic decision by the government which has far reaching consequences in future, definitely this factories need to improve in efficiency. Good insight by Sri Sanjay Jaju. Good questions by Sri Nitin.
Really good conversation. Hopefully 🙏 government allows private sector like Tata , L&T to come in big way and seek collaboration and investment from Taiwan , Vietnam, Phillipines etc into new projects like tejas , amca etc
@@lalitgupta689 lol that too is very true...have to be realistic...but there are ways ..GoI can recruit some corporates as lateral entries with some workex related perks (govt obviously can't match private sector compensation) into COO levels at least....this will be a good step in streamlining productivity and quality assurance which has been abysmal with erstwhile OFB
Very nice of Nitin to get Shri Jaju for this program. This is indeed a major reform and finally, GoI managed to get rid of strangle hold of OFB structure. How these newly formed companies fare in future will be another issue but that is the question for the management to answer. If required, they can be privatized as well. Many of the pending defense reforms have seen light of the day since 2014. Thanks to Xi and his stupid actions in Doklam followed by Galwan, our defense policy has changed drastically and hesitations of the past have been unshackled. We are now actively pursuing robust response to the Chinese aggression. In next 10 years, India will be a major military power and OFB reforms would have contributed a lot for that. The country is indebted to civil servants like Jaju for this.
Innovation is the key. Like the PM has said we must invest in R&D. We must not just play catch up but come up with disruptive technology in the field of defence. With brilliant minds let's hope it happens.
Nothing is going to change. The problem lies with Indian psyche when employed by the government. The same person working with a private firm would behave differently. It is the carrot and stick mentality rather than the self pride in the work and production that drives an Indian mind. Privatise the lot and hire and fire on the basis of production and quality.
Long overdue reform! Happy with it finally being executed. That said the proof of the pudding is in eating..I hope and pray and OFB Corporates can actually get their act together and deliver finally
Are we looking at our seven new Air Indias now? Will the existing technocrats and bureaucrats scale up like their private competitors? Do they have incentives to make profits?
Aged companies cannot change fast enough- in terms of technological upgradation, obsolescence in manufacturing facilities and attention to customer complaints, availability of funds for working capital and capex. Only those who take smart decisions will survive.
The current state of Indian public sector is not very encouraging. Apart from few, most of them ,are loss making and that primarily is because of lack of accountability, over reach by CVC,CAG impacting the risk taking ability ,unnecessary interference by these Babus and the Political masters in decision making.reservation in recruitment resulting in inefficiency and frustration amonge the performing employees. The success of these new companies as such is rather far fetched .Of course this is a welcome 1st step ultimately paving the way for their privatisation.Once privatised these companies will perform in line with underlying intention as their corpotisation ie Atmanirbhar efficient and also earn good amount of forex.
What I still fail to understand is, despite the looming China threat, our armed forces still shying away to induct indigenous equipments in bulk? Recently Army threw another tantrum against LUH, no orders for Bhart Forge artillery etc. What is wrong with us?
@@prachetmakwana6011 Well, this can be a genuine reason but it's not like that Indian forces are using high quality stuff already. If anything, our forces lack quality stuffs or just stuffs. They either get to use low quality OFB junk or imported stuff. If they give our private sector some chance, I'm sure quality will improve when fresh funds are inducted. There's one example of Tejas. IAF agreed to place order of 20 Tejas IOC variants which is basically very low quality jet. But with that find, HAL used to improve Tejas further upto Mk2. So it's really a catch 22 situation. But we will never become a formidable military power unless we have a robust domestic military industrial complex.
Army has corruption in its rank monetary and mental as well in the sense that they deem indigenous products inferior. Their procurement process is abysmal.

The scope of your coverage is all encompassing-congratulations and best wishes to India on these developments and their continued evolution.
old wine, new bottle...until pvt corporation type work culture isn't introduced, nothing is going to change..
If you try to change it too much too soon, the babus will go on a strike for multiple months. It needs to be a balanced gradual change.

I think this is not final, rather it's just the first step of eventual privatization
govt. has taken a bold and decisisive step. hope it will succeed.

Privatisation is needed as next step.
Such a huge information on this channel, but so little subscribers ( both supporters and opponents) shows how ppl are addicted to hola polas.
