    "Termin" is pronounced as it is in terminate. Remove the "ate" and put "us" at the end instead.

    I have the all black model been using it for over a year now and it’s a great Slipjoint option here in the uk, I put a kwik thumb stud on it and it works perfectly now as a one hand opener

    Nice vid. Good looking knife. I want one. Glad to hear there is 0 blade play. I've never owned a Sog folder without play.

    Term-min--us ( just helping) I want that Knife, but I've noticed that I need approx. a.25" more handle than you do, just so I feel secure with a good grip. Love that Blade!

    Do you know of any recommendations for hiking in Colorado, also live there. I've wanted to get out for a while but school is pretty restricting and I'm just not sure where I should hike. Great vid btw

    Great review. I've owned a few SOG knives over the years and had great luck. This is a nice looking knife hopefully they put out a locking knife with a similar blade.

    Cool review, like the knife, would that bolt on thumb stud that you use on the buck knife work on this knife? I'm in the UK, looks one of the best slip joint (legal carry) offerings asside from the victorinox and spyderco's.

    Thank for the videos. SOG Terminus remind me about my baby (Spyderco Spy-DK) with N690 steel and made in Mongolia, Italy. It has the same futures like Terminus from slip joint, deep carry pocket clip but more EDC friendly and well machined gimping on the knife spine. However, I think Spydie beat SOG in the price point with just $28-45 (I got it with $28 + $3 shipping fee from Blade HQ). Anyway thank for the great video and hope the channel give a chance to compare Spy-DK with Terminus. 👍👍👍

    Sweet blade! I love slip joints, wish it was one handed opening. But that would probably violate a law somewhere.

    I like everything about it except not having a lock. I've had a knife close on my fingers before. I learned my lesson.

    • @dorsetdumpling5387
      @dorsetdumpling5387 3 роки тому +2

      So have I, but you’re missing the point.
      Here in the UK I could carry this knife anywhere without question, however, if I wanted to carry a locking blade knife in public, I would have to be able to convince a police officer/court that I had ‘good reason’ to carry that type of knife, which, under UK law is classed as a fixed blade knife.
      I don’t think that “I’ve had a knife close on my fingers before” would cut the mustard!

    What the heck is with that 'squared,blocked off space' behind the finger guard? Surely it would be more comfortable if the handle flowed into the fingerguard. Broke the deal for me..

  • @backrowbrighton
    @backrowbrighton 7 років тому +1

    Really good video on a good looking knife. I live in the UK where we have very restrictive laws on what knives can be carried. An SAK is usually the limit. Unfortunately the tactical look of this knife would probably lead to trouble with the law despite it meeting the legal requirements. There is massive paranoia regarding knives in the UK.

    • @0scartheCat
      @0scartheCat 6 років тому

      Peter Walsh ; I have shown a policeman this knife, he checked it, no lock, under 3" blade, he said so long as I wasn't at a football match/ pub / airport/ street fight etc . . ( same would apply to a Vic CADET ) He would have no problem with it. If I had an Opinel it would be a different story . .

    • @geezerp1982
      @geezerp1982 3 роки тому

      @@0scartheCat there is no laws on carrying legal knives in a pub etc in a street fight you can instant arm with it , if you feel that would be reasonable force for the prevention of crime

    I think the new 2017 version of Spyderco UKPK(with spydie hole) that's now in S110v is much better then this SOG. www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-UK-Penknife-Lightweight--50020. The biggest and most obvious issue(that went unmentioned) with this SOG slipjoint is that the nail nicks are way off on both sides. What I mean is that the handle has low ramped areas on each side where you can see/touch more of the blade, that's where the nail nicks should have been placed. But the nail nicks are moved over past those spots with the very end of the nail nick going behind the handle. - 3:30 look!!! Also I have always hated SOG's extreme bill boarding, SOG everywhere. Do we really need to have multiple company logos on the knife?

    Hey, Aaron, long-time subscriber here. I'd just like to offer a piece of constructive criticism. I see that you have moved more towards the tabletop style of reviews. I'm not such a fan of those. Your reviews are still really good, they're still the best out there in my opinion, but the way you used to review stuff just set you miles apart from the rest. Even if I wasn't interested in the product, I would still watch just because they were enjoyable. I can't really do that now with the tabletop style reviews.
    It's your channel after all, you should do what you want to do with it. I was just offering up my opinion.

      Steve Smith thanks for your support! I totally understand, but with a 1 year old, wife, my full time job, and trying to do more fire arms I only have some many hours in a day to film. So, right now there will be a percentage of the videos that will have some table top integrated into them. Hope you will still get a lot out of the videos!

    here in germany, we have those strange knife laws. basically i'm looking for a knife like this with only a nail neck (?) to open it, but with a locking mechanism.
    anyone have any idea where i can get this? I would also just remove the thumb pin on a regular knife so i'm not able to open it with one hand.
