This code still pops up and I don't know what else to even do for the code to go away. I had this for months and I cannot figure out why it's giving me this code.
Thanks for the great video. My daughter's 2013 Elantra pulled a P0106 code today and I am thrilled that this is such an inexpensive and easy fix. Exactly what I was looking for. Cheers.
What are other steps to take to clear the P0106 error code? I replaced the MAP sensor (twice) and have cleaned the throttle body. What else could the culprit be?
How do you replace the connector?? I replaced this sensor on my 2011 elantra limited and the check engine light is on again showing the same code p0106. HELP!! PLEASE!!!!
i had just cleaned my 2012 elantra throttle body but after engine light turned on and p0106 showed up, what’s the cause of that? is it normal to turn after cleaning it?
i have a hyundai elantra 2012 with 128,000 mile. i have seen all your videos and i would like to know which of all the repair i would have to do my car with the mile it has, for example the sensors, fuel injector , alternator etc. what do you recommend me? thanks
I'm no expert, I just go by the owners manual. By 128k miles the only major services that it says should of been done is to replace coolant at 60k miles, then every 30k miles after that. And to inspect the belt for cracks & replace when you see hair line cracks and ware on the belt. The only thing idk about is when you have to replace the timing chain. Besides that it's just normal oil changes, filter changes, tire rotations and what ever decides to break. My 2012 Elantra is at 83k, only thing i've done is coolant change. About to do MAP sensor, error showed up 2 days ago.
Hi guys. You are doing a fantastic job with all the detailed explanations. I'm a big fan. Please be kind and tell me where can I locate the MAF sensor on Elantra GDI 2014-model. I'm trying to solve a serious trubble: from time to time I'm runing out of oil, and it requires to add some 0.5l / 2000km. Changed the engine scrubber, changed the valve seals... slightly better, but the problem is stil on. Did you have any clue? Thanks.
What size socket to take off the bolt that's actually holding the map sensor in place? And I'm having trouble unplugging the sensor, it's like it won't unlatch when I press down on the lever to disconnect? Any tips on loosening it up without breaking it?
10mm. I had some issues removing the electrical connector as well. It's difficult to maneuver in that location. If you pull up on the top of the tab, while simultaneously pressing in on the bottom and pulling the connector down, you can get it a little bit over the piece it locks on to on the MAP sensor. From there, I just used a flathead to push them further apart and voila! it worked. Look at your new MAP sensor and you can see the little piece that sticks out where the tab on the electrical connector locks on to. This will help you to better see what needs done.
I have a 2010 Elantra and I can't find the MAP sensor at all. I can find it in any car I ever looked at but somehow this one I don't see it. I even looked up the technical diagram and I don't see it corresponding to what I see on my engine.
I had the check engine light on, it was the MAP Sensor that needed replaced. I replaced, check engine light went off took the car for a spin. During the drive the check engine light never came on until I got back to my house parked it turn it off the car and than I turned back on the car and guess what, the engine light came back on and it read the same code, MAP Sensor. Have you come across this situation? Is it a bad MAP Sensor or something within the throttle or air flow causing this to put out a bad MAP Sensor? This on my 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE.
2013 Hyundai Elantra 100,000 miles.. I was getting p106 for a while + rough idling, was told to replace map sensor, vacuum leak etc (I didn't replace sensor)... taking a quick glance at throttle body, it didn't look too bad, but when I removed it to clean it, it was pretty gunky. After cleaning the throttle body the error codes haven't reappeared and the idling has been smooth (knock on wood). It's been 2 months + since cleaning the throttle body
Jeromy Richards same here. Took my elantra to get an oil change and the check engine light came on and tripped this code. Been running with a lack of power and stalling for weeks. I’m about to order a new sensor and see if this fixes the problem.
Did any of you guys manage to fix the issue? Once I changed the Trans oil and engine oil. I got the map sensor code to go off. I bought a new sensor I even replaced it with a dealership sensor and it still says it's the map sensor that it's causing the issue. I don't know what else to check! Now it's just a problem that I can't figure out. I cleaned the ETC the air filters. I checked the hoses and there is nothing.
This is driving me crazy, I've been able to find the location for the MAP sensor on just about every Hyundai except for my 2010 elantra. My throttle body is at the top so im assuming it's around there but can't find it for the life of me

I’m having the same problem hoping I can fix it soon let me know what your problem was the cars stalling right?
Try the crankshaft sensor or the fuel pump or filter
How do you replace the connector?? I replaced this sensor on my 2011 elantra limited and the check engine light is on again showing the same code p0106. HELP!! PLEASE!!!!
I have the same issue. How did u fix it? I bought a MAP sensor from the Hyundai dealer and the code came back on.

Same problem with my 2013 Elantra happened today.

Mine turned out to be a dirty Throttle Body. I've seen in other posts that it could also be leaking intake gasket or cracked intake manifold
can i use 39300-2B00 if my car has 39300-2B100?

What is the size of socket to open that part. I tried every single socket I had, but none of them fits to lose it.
My elantra is lacking power what do you think causes that problem

What if after replacement it continues with the same issue
I changed that part and my car is still the same
