when she said that you shouldnt use an e-file unless you ve been trained properly i was like - ive watched every video on filing youve put out there - and then she said "watching my youtube videos is not officially training you" ;D
I do like that rounded bit you used. I'm self taught but in school so I can be licensed eventually. I love your videos, you are very talented. Your videos are training to me.
I instantly go to your videos when you post a new one! I aspire to be a good nail artist like you you make it so fun favorite nail tech on youtube ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Would love to see more videos done with sculpted gel nails! I'm working on a gel nail project my own self, so I can't wait to show it to you since you're my inspiration for getting back into nail art :D
Love watching you work Kirsty. You are amazing and fun to watch. I am one that if an accident can happen with any product, I will be the one screwing up...hahaha. Do you need a license to buy Naoi products? Will continue watching because the videos are not only educational but they make me smile. Love your accent also. I think a British accent always makes everything you say sound so important...."oh, a bottom burp?"
Thank you for this video. I feel like filing is where I struggle the most, and I am really going to try and do what you have shown here. You made the coffin look so easy. I can never seem to get the sides perfectly straight. Any tips?
Hi i really love your work you actually taught me how to do nails lol so far I’ve learn with out question but now I’m obsessed with neat cuticles and i really feel like that drill bit is what i need!!! Where can i find it?!?!?
Hello Kristy.... I do love watching you work..,! I’m very interested in those drill bits you used can you please post & let us know where to purchase those bits
I’ve been curious for a couple of years now...what efile and drill bits do you use? I have a couple of different brands that I use but that one with the beveled edge is super cool! I’ve never seen one like that before.
Hi Kirsty! I love your videos and watch every single one. I was wondering if I could have your advice and your thoughts would be greatly appreciated 😀 I have been doing nails since 2009 and been self employed for the last 3 years, owning a successful nail shop. I'm asking for your advice because I have never been in this situation before. But, a girl came in and wanted her nails done and a colleague of mine started to do them. My collegue has just qualified, (to a high standard) and naturally takes a little longer in time. However, the girl wanted long ballerina nails and my colleague found it hard to finish in time, ready for her next client. So I took over and finished them off. Granted she was in the shop, longer than most. But she started to get very picky. She kept asking for the ballerina to be smaller in width, and thinner. I did explain, if she kept going thinner, it won't be in line with her side walls and be out of per-portion. Plus they could then easily break at the breaking point. But she insisted, so I filed some more. We finished with swarovski crystals and a grey/purple gel polish and she said she loved them and she was very grateful. As a good will gesture, because of the amount of time she was there, I discounted some money. Again, she was very grateful. Even others were admiring her nails and how lovely they were ( and in my eyes, they were). She left and 40 minutes later, she rang saying she hated them, they were all wrong and she wanted them off and her money back. Shocked, I booked her in and said yes to her money back. Am I doing the right thing? The picture is on my fb page at Jay Chapman Makeup and nail artist. Please give me your feed back. Thank you xxx
Jay Chapman no I would have not given her money back. Thats just a picky client and some times you get those customers. Before they leave i tell them to check their nails. Once they leave I don't give refunds.
Hi Jay Chapman ... I think that awful lady was taking advantage of your kindness. Like the other comment below said, once you leave the premises, you are not obliged to return her money. I’m afraid that lady should have “spoken up or forever held her peace”! I personally think you’re too nice for your own good 😍 xx
Cindy Joy hi. I have a e-file and I've noticed from my experience, if I put more pressure then light pressure, it starts digging at the nail. Hope this helps
please tell us the brand of your efile. there are so many china knock offs out there and i don't wanna pay a high price for junk. i do own an efile but that was before i learned whats good and bad. i just don't know products names. i know my efile heats up and can burn while using it. i hand file but would like something nice. i heard kupa is a good one but 400+ is pretty pricey. any suggestions? love love love the vids and ideas. i watch all the time. sometimes i feel like i watch more than your putting out lol. i do buy naio nail products quite a bit i own now. the only part thats disappointing is watching the vids n loving a product just to find it no longer there or sold out. hope the company makes plenty more. love the gel polishes. i never knew it could be so nice to use gels. thnx so much for all your help! Been a fan of naio nails since Gemma long ago. Still love the vids. great ideas and work!
I wonder if nail techs know that it hurts the nail bed when they do all that aggressive manual filing like that. Maybe it just me though because they always look at me crazy when I flinch and say it hurts.
Girl when I first started using an e-file 25 years ago I got my hair caught and that damn thing ran all the way to my scalp!! I had to CUT THAT DAMN THING OUT OF MY HAIR!!!😵😱😱😱 Always pull your hair back!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I think what she means by salon nails is an average length with just using one color and then eventually just put like gel polish on top other nails where she may encapsulate or do 3D art or one stroke may be classified as like specialty nails or competition nails I think hope that helps
Thanks for sharing your technique. I'm self taught and do my own nails. I'm too good with the efile bur this video has helped so much!

Da Mo just practice.. on a practice hand/finger until you're comfortable doing so on your own, let alone someone else!
this is satisfying I wish this was a compilation of e-filing
I do like that rounded bit you used. I'm self taught but in school so I can be licensed eventually. I love your videos, you are very talented. Your videos are training to me.

I've always wondered why don't you have any vacuum-thingy-thing on your desk? Doesn't the dust irritate or annoy you? :O

Try looking for Saeyong from Korea. Used by many nail techs, including Kirsty. Nail bits available on Amazon.

What e-file are you using? X

Literally did this yesterday
Why do you specify “salon” nails. What is the difference?
I think what she means by salon nails is an average length with just using one color and then eventually just put like gel polish on top other nails where she may encapsulate or do 3D art or one stroke may be classified as like specialty nails or competition nails I think hope that helps
to put subtitles in Spanish please I do not understand English very much
Omg was that blood on her cuticle? Smh
I love your videos!!!! But I’m cringing that you don’t have gloves on when she has cuts.
I like natural nails soft nails
Yes they had the big square band-aides stuck to her head. But it was funny.
