    Hi Guys, A few people have asked about Polygel, we have a 3D Sculpture gel which comes in lots of colours. It's amazing, I have done some great videos with it here on this channel.

      I have the Gelish poly gel system, its super easy to use since you an manipulate for longer periods and last as well as gel nails. The one thing i found is the slip solution when it comes in contact with forms is that it makes the form adhesive release. There is limited colors to the gelish poly gel and that is a def drawback.

      I really like your videos Christie I like how you're very informative and you're very patient to show us each correct stop and the camera guy asks questions that I would ask and his close-ups are really good. I do have a question however what if you don't have the quick setting monomer liquid can you use the regular setting, does it take a lot longer to set?

      I think its because you cant guarantee a perfect application and sometimes it doesnt last as long. And also because of the dual forms cost more than normal forms. Its all about the profits

    • @themurrrr
      @themurrrr 6 років тому +16

      I think because it limits what designs you can do. Also, the designs you can do will always have to be done in reverse, which is not always easy.

    Thanks for posting this Kirsty. I've been using these for my non dominant hand. I tried the exact ones you used off eBay, but found that the pronails ones are way better. They are sturdier and have a scale to allow you to choose lengths. I've also used them with tips. Works great. Great to see that a professional would consider using these not just us amateurs!xx

    GREATEST TIP!!! No other video that I have seen talks about proper sizing, and allowing room for product. To keep the underside smooth without filing you could place a sculpting form on! This would keep the acrylic flush with your free edge as well! It takes a couple of seconds and saves so much time with filing!!

    I used dual forms for the first time today and omg there my new best friend especially when doing my own nails. Before my nails look awful they were lumpy and bumpy bit now there so smooth and I even found it easier using my non dominant hand. I can do a normal acrylic nail with tip and overlay on other people but in me it was a nightmare but dual forms have saved me time so now I can spend more time on the design.

    I'm not a nail tech, but I've been addicted to your channel for awhile now, you're fabulous! So I've watched enough of your videos to understand about the apex and how it helps the structure of the nail. I noticed with the dual forms that there was no building up of the apex to strengthen the structure. Is it necessary to build the apex or is it more of an aesthetic thing? Is it something that you can build with a dual form if you wanted to? Just a question for curiosity's sake. Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried using coconut oil on the cuticles? Mine have been totally dried out, cracking because of the weather and I have been using the coconut oil and it is working so well. I also apply it just before going to bed so it really has a chance to soak in. I also did a soak with foil over so the heat from the ends of my fingers made it really soak in the skin and (not kidding) they looked like new cuticles afterwards. Sorry you are going through this!!!

    Nobody is Judging you. I am so sorry you got Dermatitis. I am surprised I haven't broke out myself with all the stress I have in my life, especially the past 10 years. I fell getting out of my vehicle in 08 causing me to have 5 Herniated discs in my neck & 2 Bulging Discs in my Lower back. I had 3 Discs surgically removed & a plate screwed in on my neck. I suffer from pain every day. I can no longer work, if I do to much my body shuts down & I am in bed for 3-7 days.
    I pray that you get back to being unstressed. Put some antibiotic cream or ointment on your hands & wrap them at night & I am positive that the Dermatitis will be gone within less than a week.

      I get dermatitis from nail products and things my hands get into at work. I also get it on my forearms and shins from kneeling in hydraulic oil and grease, and rusty water. I have a Dr prescribed steroid cream. It works great on my arms and legs. But it's hard to keep it on my hands. No over the counter creams or lotions ever did anything. I've tried them all.

    Very pretty finish. The form doesnt seem to provide much of an apex. Or is a pronounced apex not needed at this length?

    Hi! I love your videos! Is it possible to put design on top of it when the form is off? Or is it possible to build up a design before you put it on to the nail?

    Do you dehydrate and prime before you apply the form? And does this prevent or promote lifting?

    • @beckyjones6200
      @beckyjones6200 6 років тому +4

      Yui Tachibana it's much the same as normal acrylic application. The dehydrator removes some natural oil from your nails (natural nail oils cause lifting). The primer seeps in to your nail slightly and acrylic sticks/bonds with the primer. If you form a nail without this prep either traditionally or with a dual form it would pop off like a press on nail from the 80's lol

    Thank you so very much. I have just bought all my products and I’m waiting for them to be delivered. I’ve not been a Nail Tech for almost 30yrs, and I’m over going to salons where I get cutical abrasions. So, I thought I would go back to doing it myself after I stumbled on Dual Forms & Polygel. Your video was extremely informative. Oh and bless your male friend for asking what I was thinking. Twice. 🙃 I loved you both so much, I’ve subscribed to your channel. 💖 from Australia 🇦🇺

    Kinda neat for flawless cutical applications but the shape isn't my style. I like a thinner deeper C curve. They are chunky in all the wrong places. Great video none the less. Thanks for sharing.

      Becky Jones there are some dual forms that are a hot pink color, and they have a beautiful, deep c-curve! I’m sure if you just do a vague search for pink dual forms, they will pop up. I got mine from one of those wish-type sites from China. They work great!
