Titans have received a lot of heat from the Destiny community over the years. Some of it might be justified, and other times it was just because other classes were perhaps a bit jealous. This video explores 19 times the Titan class was hated by the Destiny community.

Don't eat out of the microwave...
Spend the extra minute and use your stove.
Imagine putting an add halfway in the video. Imagine being that scummy.
I think you will have a harder time finding even 15 times destiny player hated warlocks.
But for starters I know human ribs would actually keep you alive longer in a gunfight, and outpaced weapon damage.
I love how we always hate on other classes but in grandmasters you always ask for an Omni hunter, well lock, and storm titan we love to hate each other but always help eachother out. Kind of like 3 brothers that fight all the time but would always fight for each other too
Just think of it as tough love lol
Nah truly the only place where this class hatred really crops up is the crucible which is why that stuff needed to be balanced separately from the rest of the game like idk when D2 launched...
In PVE it brings me nothing but joy to see that the blueberries I'm in a strike with that moment are the other 2 classes and we just rounded out naturally cause honestly when I'm running with another warlock it's like.. "oh now I don't stand out as much" especially when I pop a rift to the rescue lol
Also it feels like when it comes to Exotics that break PVP the pecking order is Titans>Hunter>Warlock.... Almost every season and at least twice a year this proves to be true like clockwork. Lorely Splendor, One-Eyed Mask, Ursa Furiosa, Citan's Rampart, Peregrin's Greaves, And I think the Icefall mantle for a little bit Are Titan's claims to Infamy. Hunters have Wormhusk crown, Shinobu's vow, Gyrefalcon's hauberk, Omnioculus, Gwisin vest for a little bit, Stomp-ezz, I think there's like 2-3 more lesser abused ones... And then we have warlock... we have let's see for stuff the broke pvp or is abused there... Ophidian aspect, Geomag stabilzers (pre-nerf), Sanguine alchemy (pre-nerf), and maybe like 2 others that buff super performance idk stormcrown or something...
Titan's and hunters get more crucible hate cause a lot more of their exotics perform well there is all I'm saying.
Stasis warlock is also very good in GMs and I don't think I've ever seen a storm titan in GMs, only bubble/shield. As for hunters, the very few times we had a hunter they always ran Aeon's 🤷
@@matus19971 you didn’t see every Destiny content creator last season say “use storm titan in literally everything”
@@STO21NE I follow a lot of channels but no, I've never seen that. I cant even imagine using it when I have an insanely strong solar titan.
I swear, Bungie either makes Titans the most over powered bullshit imaginable or complete shit. “Here is this insanely OP exotic that works with all subclasses go nuts, but do it now before we make it do fuck all in about 2-3 months.”
This… has been the experience for sure, I was a warlock main in D1, switched up to Titan in D2 and couldn’t agree more.
They do the same thing to hunter exotics as well…
@@bbjynx1036 true that! Renewal grasps are my absolute fav exotic in the game… they are, fine… now.
Yep don't get me wrong I love HoiL ability spam but there's no way it's safe from a nerf.
There's no way Bungie looks at it being the defacto exotic across almost all subclasses and says "yeah that's fine as is"
Been taking it off and trying off meta builds bc ik the things gonna get hit at some point.
@@draysmusicalshtposts6340 most definitely is. I set my wife’s warlock up and run lost sectors for her and was kind of blown away how many of their exotics are super viable IMO. Kinda makes me wish Titan and Hunter had a few more options so wasn’t just HOIL, Synthos, Lorely and Omni, Gyrfalcs, Cowl.
Man, you know you’re a Titan main when every thing on this list makes you nostalgic… Titan skating, Garrison, and back when Sunbreaker first dropped?! Damn, those were good times. In a match when you’d hear the hammer and anvil sound of a Sunbro popping their super, everyone would flee like rats… it was terrifying!!
I miss rolling lobbies with universal and no back ups. The old days...
What's funny for me is I never hated titans, But then again, I was a warlock main in Destiny 1 and most of the bs I encountered came from hunters. In D2, that trend has continued even as a now dedicated Titan Main.
Man, I miss that OG shoulder charge. Mk. 44s were always on. Now I usually roll Sentinel because Striker isn't as smooth anymore, from all the cutbacks.
@@Razzy-sr4oq Bro literally me I was hardcore striker then D2 dropped and I started getting my shit run and switched to sentinel to stay alive
@@asimovstarling8806i‘m still traumatised by those stupid stormcaller warlocks back in d1
Only 19 times?
A highlight reel lol
But which are more hated: hunters, titans or warlocks?
It is a daily endeavor for me
Lol
@@xrinn6 the game

Not really. I feel like it's pretty rare to find someone who hates warlocks.
I'm a hunter I definitely hate titans but never cared too much about warlocks in pvp.
found the titan main
@@brammerd1040 Jokes on you im a Hunter Main XD
@@yugnok you do not know how to play shadebinder
@@yugnok legit use it more youll see its the best warlock subclass rn but aight
Hunters have their edgelord phases (which some never get out of and end up with their heads stuck between their unthicc cheeks, you heard me)
Titans have their crayons and brainpower in "how to ez"
And Warlocks have their kabooms and magics
Everyone hates each other, it inspires class wars and classism, especially whenever Guardian Games comes around, yet we can't do much without each other because of our abilities. Its like advanced tough love between three adopted brothers.
For a complete list you would have to include every crucible match ever played
I am a Destiny 2 titan main. Joined during the closing end of the Red War campaign/season. I can understand the hate on movement tech and grenades, especially since mobility was the hunter's thing and grenades were warlocks(or their wells). What I don't understand is the hate on the melee ability. I was always under the impression that the titan's entire thing was that they were powerful in close quarters and should be avoided like how players avoided warlocks with snipers and wells.
I love the little D1 shoulder charge montage going on 😂😂
What a trip down memory lane. Really puts into perspective modern Crucible
I love how much cerridius was on here. He was the king of this stuff lol
He’s one of the best titans to ever play
@@PattycakesGaming ive played with and against jimmy for a bit during opulence and have watched him ever since. Truly personifies TITAN.
“They’ve always been the center of a lot of hate.” *laughs and cries in hunter*
It’s time to aim for 20 my titan brothers. Stand strong.
Titan, together, strong.
Hunters, weak. Always cry.
Warlock always read, punch book instead
One thing people never seemed to remember or realized in d1 is that you had to time the shoulder charge because you couldn’t hold it indefinitely like in d2
In Destiny 1,
I'm fairly certain,
Not 100% but I'm pretty sure.
Wasn't the Blade Dancers Backstab also a 1-shot kill?
Sure it was finicky with the games "back hit box detection".
But I think if you stabbed a Guardian in the back you'd kill them.
Yes and it would sometimes work in the front and the side
also res warlock's melee was a one hit in super with an on-hit overshield
ya i was also confused when he said Titans shoulder charge was the ONLY 1 hit kill ability when blade dancer had that 1 hit backstab and at one point im pretty sure the throwing knife 1 hit to the head and warlocks solar melee also one hit but to be fair it required super
Stormcallers also had sniper melees
2:10 only 1 shot ability in game (sticky grenades left the chat)
19 times? That’s 99,981 times too less!
Yeah citan’s are kinda annoying but have yall heard of breaking the barricade or running away
Reminder that häkke breached armament + anti barrier deal more damage to barricades, and citans have less health in general.
You realize it takes longer to kill a barricade than it does to kill a guardian, right? And I hope you realise by the time one barricade runs out you have another. On top of that, even if you somehow kill the barricade you definetly shouldn't be winning the gunfight too
Ah yes the "just break the barrier"
I'm proud to be a titan main, no backlash can stop my proud, strong, valiant class
Same here. We are the tanks of the destiny community and are undoubtedly awesome!
@@CarEnthusiast1807 y’all got more movement then us hunter mains thats crazy lol
Gorilla army
Gorilla army indeed
Dude. Even better with strand. We both block, and stick on pve.
Another thing about the shoulder charge in D1, they had the OG stand asides, which made them able to tank about anything short of supers and sniper headshots with the overshield. Naturally no cooldown on that either, just sprintnfor like 3s and off you go, the duration of shoulder chrage and its juggernaut overshield was a small eternity.
Edit: in D1, shoulder charge was not active forever. If you sprinted for too long, you lost it and had to stop and start sprinting again
The destiny 2 community seems to hate everything and everyone... This community will never be at peace lmao
The problem is,
This community doesn't actually want Fair and Balanced.
They want "My Class to be superior."
Everyone really needs to see when something is OP,
It's OP.
And if something can beat your character, that doesn't make it OP
>_>
For me, I mostly play Titan in PvP,
And Hunter for PvP.
Now if I want a cool looking armour from PvP, you'll see me mostly in there on my Hunter.
So as a mostly Hunter Main, I'll 100% admit,
That Titans Shoulder charge should be 1-hit kill again,
And Warlocks HHSN should also be a 1-hit again.
Because now, Hunters are the only class that have a 1-hit ability.
The throwing knife,
And the fact that also if you get a kill, you immediately get it back, and if you miss, you can dodge and get it back.
Is kinda unfair.
I don't want Bungie to take it away,
No,
But the other 2 classes should get theirs back
Bungie secretly loves us crayon eaters
Literally any time they throw up a shield right in front of a boss. When you're capturing a zone and they throw their Captain America shield at you.... That's about it... Or when they toss up a bubble shield right as you fire a rocket at the entire enemy team on a zone in Iron Banner.
Awesome overview and insightful commentary on how the crucible has returned full circle to the slow early-D2 double primary era.
I hope there’s a Warlock and Hunter video coming soon.
The hunter one already exists btw :)
Man I saw this after playing iron banner last night and the pace of pvp has gotten absurdly fast again and it feels great. I can still shoulder charge one shot around corners though so 🤷♀️
1:35 this, with the "MK.44 stand asides" would have been amazing.
The footage at 16:48 where the titan shoulder charges a golden gun is from Mr fruits shoulder charge montage. Ah, the good ol days
I remember waaaaaaaaay back when Forsaken came out, The One-Eyed Mask was the epitome of Unstone Titan sweats in PvP & ES God mode in PvE......... *until The Witch Queen gave use Lorely Splendour.*
Those first few weeks truly brought that feeling back 400-fold as well as pre-Solar 2.0 Solar Titans being able to get free damage buff & crazy health back too.
Class rankings (I use all 3)
PvE Rankings:
1. Warlock
2. Titan
3. Hunter
PvP ratings:
1. Hunter
2. Titan
3. Warlock
I love the Classic Cerridius gameplay in the background lol
you forgot to mention the 1 hit melee comeback aka Peregrine Grieves, thing can 1 hit someone out of a Well or Bubble
I subconsciously used titan skate; but only util'd it in PvE
I'm a titan main. I agree with most of the list...citans and the "barricade meta" I don't. These have been around for awhile and nobody complained. The citans shield was always weak and would easily pop to primary. Titans trade a TON of mobility (that hunters and solar warlocks have) for shields.
I'm gonna use this video whenever a titan main says they NEVER had anything good.
For real. Every time something blatantly broken on titan gets nerfed, all you see is "tHe gUaRdiAn AnNiHiLaToR 3000 iS aLl We HaVe" while they sit on their pile of wildly powerful exotics and abilities lmao. And this is coming from someone who at this point almost exclusively plays titan in PvP because it's just so much stronger than the other two classes now.
As a Titan main, I thought it might be interesting to switch to Hunter so I could complete all my Iron Banner quests before reset, and only then did I truly understand how much of a nightmare we really are in PVP.
Attack a Titan head on? Nine times out of ten you'll end up shoved halfway through a wall or flung clean off the map. Try to run away? You'll be chased down and trampled. Attack from a distance? Good luck getting through their barricade first. And once you hear a Super go off, you better pray someone has a DMT with Vorpal on hand to deal with the bloodthirsty Unstoppable Champion rocketing towards you at Mach 2.
Don't get me wrong, I don't feel bad in the slightest. It just made me appreciate Titan even more than I already did.
The point is that Titans often have good stuff, but instead of Bungie balancing it out, for them it's more nerfing to the ground. Meanwhile they "balance" distributing even more broken skills to the other two classes. There's the pvp horrible vicious cycle in this game.
@@doglorde That's a Bungie "trait" it's either OP as F or nerfed to the ground. And this applies to the other 2 classes and pretty much everything in the game, weapons included.
@@doglorde your not wrong
Curious if you'll be doing this for all 3 classes or just this once? Loved the video!
I did hunters already, it’s linked in the description. And I’ll likely go warlocks too if this video performs okay
@@PattycakesGaming we warlocks have never been hated
@Darth Vader
>_>
Controverse holds with Handheld Supernova my lad.
@@darthvader9173 hated for almost all of d1 lol
@Darth Vader Handheld Supernova with Controverse Hold, OG Bottom tree Dawnblade super duration, Chaos reach in Trials (prior to the 30A changes), Penumbral Blast in the first two weeks of Stasis, Lightning Surge on Stormcaller (still not nerfed)...I'm a warlock main through and through, but we have had some BUSTED shit over the years, and that's just D2.
What can I say, the power of crayons is a force to be reckoned with
Do warlocks next... the 2x where warlocks were hated
what a fun time! running like a crazy one and shoulder charge everyone !!!
Now shoulder charge is so nerfed that after I use it on an enemy, they one-shot me with their shotgun as they're being pushed away from me. Very balanced, Bungo, thanks
I'm still sad about Twilight Garrison not being available anymore for Titans
but honestly what was that Bungie guy thinking when he literally went "whoops sorry mates, that ain't for Titans anymore, not their identity", sure the backlash is unreasonable but that kind of comment is still pretty much baseless
He was answering a question too many people were asking
Don’t forget Empyrean Bellicose, the other Titan exotic that got turned into a passive warlock ability.
Seeing arc blade makes me want it back. I get it's specter blades but arc but it just hits different
Universal remote and shoulder charge 1 hits in D1 are my fondest memories
Seeing all the D1 gameplay really makes me wish we still had the same slim and clean titan look instead of the bulky stuff we have in D2 :(
Every class is always hated by every other class
You forgot Universal Remote + Juggernaut meta
I'd rather be a titan main than a hunter main. Everytime I want to play crucible I just play hunter because it's easy wins
4 months later and titans have been hated for 4 more things (peacekeepers immortal, Antaeus again, behemoth targeted redaction 2 taps, and khepris horn glitch yesterday)
in D1 titans were so easy to deal with but rn they are a nightmare to handle
any recap on this on whats changed since?
Can’t wait to see my warlocks getting put on blast, remembering the og handheld supernova
Double Primary should've stuck around, made Crucible more bearable than getting Shotgun Slid every time you spawned in.
I never hated my fellow titans... on the other hand, I despise the supid warlocks and always will
Titans be wildin every season, but heaven forbid I jump a lil too high in front of the wrong dude😂
I’m surprised the random jug meta at the end of d1 wasn’t mentioned.
I love how you pulled the shoulder charge montage from Mr fruit old vid love it
One Eyed Mask was definitely the most broken exotic in PvP. I will never debate that
No it wasn't
@@JT-ih2rxjust curious what has actually been better then OEM when forsaken first launched
It’s just been one time for me because I would have to stop hating them in order to begin hating them another time 🙃
*remembering arc shoulder charge in year one with skullfort* I think we're the baddies
Oh please tell me you did one for warlocks too I'd love to see the list of times MY main was actually king of the salt pile... I remember 3 major ones maybe 2 minor off the top of my head and BOY did those abilities get nerfed in a hurry. I also wouldn't even count the stasis one you mentioned... stasis made EVERYONE salty in pvp and I think hunter was most hated by that one warlock close second... I didn't see much issue with titan stasis that the other two weren't ALSO doing.
If it’s from the D1 alpha all the way until present day, does it still only count as once?
Old Titan super was like thundercrash and new fist of havoc had a baby.
Long as there are two classes left in the game, someone is going to want someone nerfed.
Tbh, everyone still blame titans to be punchy apes, but damn warlocks on this aspect are even more cracked with their wireless and long ranged melee
I started to replay Destiny 2 after roughly 5 years and to see my main of the previous game to now be hated is... Interesting.
11:54 bro I miss this map 😔
Even though I'm a hated titan main I'm still going to be the melee monkey and I'm proud of it
Holy shit what was that emblem on all 3 characters at the beginning?
14:26 Loreley came out in Risen, not Haunted.
What’s the music at 6:29?
Lorely was popularized in Haunted cause of Solar 3.0 but it was released in Witch Queen
@@EpslionBear I'm still upset that got taken away, fuck lorely give me my damage boost.
24 shotgun shots is crazy
I love being a Titan main
If suppression grenade has one fan, I am that fan. If suppression grenade has no fans, it is because I am dead
Instant shoulder charge glitch in D1 was pretty fun to use. I received a lot of hate for using that and for being the one that initially put the video out showing how to do it 😅.
When you got the timing right you could really catch people off guard. I kinda feel bad about it now lol. Oh well good times.
Actually I like to see citan titans against myself. They become quite surprised getting an ashen wake fusion grenades under the feet or when their barricade crumbles with some anti-barrier weapons. So I have no problems with barricades. All that you need is simply shoot them. Same deal to void ones. They are not so strong as they are talked.
"It was all gunplay" Proceeds to show 1 shot no cooldown Titan charge....damn buddy what do you think abilities are?
I still get one -shot by shoulder charge 😂
You forgot when Titans lost their collective shit about not getting Twilight Garrison back and then Bungie caved and gave them a dash anyway with Arc 3.0.
sunbreaker wasn’t unsnipeable just needed longbow or better impact. had the same health as a self revived warlock
The pvp community still hates titans
Missed a few. Most recent was bubble banner
I’ve been a proud Titan ever since the start of Destiny 1
And one thing has been consistent throughout every different build I’ve tried
I’m way too stupid to acknowledge the hate
True that Titan Bro (:D)...we the rock that others must step on and hold the community up to its crazee/stupid fun standards...it's like a Zavala No Hate Zone (:D)
Should be 20 times, you forgot the part where S19 IB was a thing, and titans had access to that Void bubbel super of theirs.... which EVERY... SINGLE... TITAN ran during 2 full weeks of IB
Should I even mention warlocks then? Radiance, self rez, fusion grenades, Nova bomb with Lance, Nova bomb with shatter, Don't even get me started on how broken storm caller used to be... Hunters are no exception should I even begin to mention the original wombo combo "oh there's a person there let me just throw my grenade and smoke at the exact same time because there's no delay" graviton forfeit enough said.. Golden gun the only super that could kill you from any range on any map in the crucible You and their sites you were dead there was no way to survive.. Don't even get me started on pre Nerf Arc blade or OG skip grenades paired up with the Skip grenade gauntlets...And last but oh my god certainly not least The fact that the hunters and warlocks got the The best exclusives in the game while Titans got shafted.. Hunter's got Ace of spades and stillpiercer while warlock's got The taloc And the only weapon in the entire game "that was still usable" that could change to any element and buff your abilities... Titans got an auto rifle that was bugged for over a year because they never fixed it until the end of d1 And a shitty shotgun The only worked when you were using Ward of Dawn while using it inside your bubble with a specific perk equipped on the subclass tree and even then after all that said and done you can only proc the ability with kills while inside the bubble. On a side note I'm only quoting stuff from destiny one if I start talking about the stuff in destiny 2 this will be twice if not three times the size of the message just for an example I could bring up original wormhusk crown prior to the Well needed nerf The difference between that and one-eyed mask is when I'm ask you actually needed to kill you couldn't just prock it whenever you wanted to and instantly have full health or dare I mention pre nerf blade barrage? The point is for every one thing there was for a Titan there was one if not two things for a hunter or warlock that were just as bad
If only universal remote was good when sidearms got buffed.
I do kinda dislike how in arc 3.0 titans became essentially a better solar 3.0 warlock, by equiping an exotic chest piece, an aspect and grenade it made them a top tier consistent dps, but for titan instead of having to run things like smg, witherhoard or anarchy, you can just run whatever,
i personally think the nade shouldn't be changed but the exotic, not a nerf but a change to how it works, because like the old OEM and loreleys, it rewards you for essentially doing the basics of this game, one thing you get damaged and get a massive buff and the other you use abilities and get a buff, make it similar to starfire where you meed to do damage in a emp rift or well.
I would love if they made it that you get the energy recharge only if you are actively behind a rally baricade or having weapons of light up or smth similar,
But idk not a game dev
Me looking at pvp bubble Titans: you disgusting creature
Me looking at pve bubble Titans: hey look my best friend
I've only ever hated titans one time
and never stopped
In D1 I dropped a 31 kill game and only 1 kill was with a gun. True shoulder charge supremacy
YOOOOOO THE OLD HABILITIES SYSTEM, WHAT A NOSTALGIC THING......
I don't know about the community but those are 19 reasons why I love my titan, and that part at 9:59 was just great memories.
19 times I remember trolling the hell out of hunters and warlocks 🤣
1 time the destiny community hated warlocks ( 1 because we never stopped hating them)
they have been so favored in the meta for years now it makes me sick how overloaded they are and how they have lost their identity from destiny 1 now a days they are basically mismatch of destiny 1 titan and some random stuff
Craziest titan shit ever was the shoulder charge without even moving in d1
Cant wait for "3 Times The Destiny Community Hated Warlocks"
i would give my leg to have titan skating back
