Bertahun-tahun dah saya tengok vid reaction kat Agust D, mostly youtuber kat oversea sana. Sampai saya macam dah biasa tengok dia orang impress sebab tak sangka si Suga akan jadi swag dan badass bila masuk mode AgustD dia. Tapi kali ini saya angguk-angguk dan senyum puas hati bila saudara senegara saya sendiri impress dengan Agust D. Aku memang faham sangat penerimaan locals kita dengan kumpulan BTS macam mana. Fun fact abt Suga. He is the member of the Yeoheung Min Clan (驪興 閔氏/ 여흥 민씨), a very powerful clan during Joseon dynasty. During a V-Live episode, Suga himself confirmed the fact and also added that his family belonged to a high ranking within the clan. Queen Inhyeon of King Sukjong, Queen Wongyeong of King Taejong, the last empress of Korea- Empress Myeongseong and Empress Sunmyeong all were from this clan. So when he said I'm a king I'm a boss, he literally said he came from the royal blood. And each lines related with korean culture and his personal life. yes, that's why the surname Min is rare in Suga Korea or the name Min Yoon-gi is already included in the royal family, related to the Queen or Empress, it's easy to say Suga is like the great-grandson of the Queen/Empress, that's why his name is included in the Yeoheung family Min Suga is the next generation -31, she is a direct descendant of Empress Wongyeong and she is one of the surviving descendants of the empress/queen that is why her family is still being watched.

Daechwita is actually a traditional Korean musical genre born in the late Joseon dynasty, which used to be performed in royalty processions, was characterized by including wind instruments and percussion. Today it continues to be used on special occasions and for military purposes.

Dachwita’s MV references parts of Korean culture as well. Set in a royal palace, the video sees Agust D take on two opposing characters. He is a humble boy who represents the Korean people and is also the king. Yoongi (Suga real name) faces himself in an endless battle, his revolutionary and humble side against the powerful, cruel and dangerous part of his personality.

Pss; if AGUST D were spelled backward it's D TSUGA. So basically, D T refers to the town he was born (Daegu Town) + SUGA. It's just a way he wanted to differentiate his solo work (as rapper, producer, lyricist) apart from him as BTS SUGA.
bts rapline (rm & suga) they both come from underground rappers, also sangat well-known kat underground rap scene even before bts debuted. meanwhile jhope start rapping bila joining bts (sebelum bts he’s famous street dancer) but still his rap flows sumpah lit. ada masa bolehlah react diorang punya solo & group music videos within heavily on hiphop genre 🔥
p/s: also bts is debuted as a hip-hop group. thats why they have the essence & flow wise of hiphop. but they dont stick to one genre they mixed it bcs they love experimenting in their music. if dengar lagu2 diorg kat spotify then you’ll know how vast their music are 😉

what i like about BTS, they talk about youth in their music (mental health, hard work, love yourself and etc) and all their songs have beautiful meaning. They are very humble eventho they already at high level now. Starting from nothing and small company (which almost bankrupt, if im not mistaken, correct me if im wrong).. but now they r somebody. ^^

what i understand is that the king is suga's shadow. his blond hair refer to his old self, when he released the first mixtape 'AGUSTD'. there are heads hanging at the roof of the palace. there are bodies lying on the ground if you look carefully. so kiranya the shadow is his evil, selfish, arrogant side and cannot let anyone step him down. all he wants is to win, stay on top and kill everyone else who try to stop him. his shadow wants to be the RUTHLESS KING.
but i think the black hair one is his current self. he wanders around the town maybe to be able to sneak into the territory and kill his old self. meaning he's changed for better and he wants to stop this ruthless king from killing anyone else. thats my theory :) mixed with suga's infos too he told in a video but i cannot rlly remember all he said..

BTS interlude shadow which is suga solo song released a few months before daechwita. This could give you more context about daechwita because i believe daechwita is the continuation what he feels in interlude:shadow. BTS interlude shadow is way darker and sadder but still a bop. BTS has always have hip hop songs but its their more pop songs more popular so some people love to stereotype them for having poppy songs. Black swan, ON, dynamite, life goes on released in same year, but many people only remember dynamite and said all they did is pop song. BTS always do many genres. They freaking versatile. My bias is the rapline. My bias wricker is vocal line.
